This review focuses on the Las Colinas location. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Yolk - Las Colinas is located in a new area in Irving-Las Colinas with plenty of parking. Inside it's open with plenty of seating (some outdoors too), has Yolk's bright blue and yellow colors, but my favorite features are the big windows which let in the the sun's natural light. 1 Star. Service - Our server was great. She was very attentive and made sure we always had our mugs filled with coffee. I appreciated the friendly service that was all smiles. 1 Star. Food - Yolk's menu has classic breakfast and brunch options but be sure you check to table for coffee specials. I ordered an Iced Apple Pie Latte that was served in a glass mason jar. This small detail allowed the Apple flavor to start my breakfast on a high note. Speaking of which, my Breakfast Mac & Cheese caught my attention when it was served in a skillet. I intended to only eat half, but the smokey ham paired with the creamy mac & cheese under a light panko layer was too delicious for me to stop. The prices are a bit on the high side, but otherwise a geat meal. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. DFW is getting many great breakfast/brunch spots like Yolk. If you're a big fan of breakfast (and travelling on expense), it's a great way to start your day. 1 Star.

Young, high-energy staff and everybody was friendly. I had an adorable little waitress who was possibly high as a kite. But flower high, not the bad stuff. Honestly, it worked in everybody's favor. She was upbeat, extremely polite, and got my order right. I'm happy. The menu is one of those long double-sided laminated things with probably 50+ breakfast choices. Everybody should be able to find something. Prices looked to range around $10-17 per entrée, and the portions were solid. They also had a bunch of turkey and chicken sausage options for non-pork eaters like myself. I ordered the chicken fried steak with hash browns, scrambled cheese eggs with onions mixed into the eggs and hash browns, plus two pancakes. Around $15. Pardon the food pics. I forgot to take them until I had already loaded everything up with every sauce known to man: ketchup, hot sauce, gravy, syrup... probably a few others. I definitely recommend this place. A gem.

This visit we didn't get any entrees or drinks we were there for the cake. We don't have one in our state so we were ECSTATIC to find out there were a few in the metroplex area. We did go 2 out of our 4 days there. Just get the cake, ask for a middle piece. Everything is locally sourced and the whipped cream is made fresh and you can tell. Every bite is heaven. The slices are pretty big so 2 of us share one. The service is fantastic and fast. Zero complaints. We also learned on our last visit that they ship the whiskey cake.. not sure they should've told me this lmao because I will be ordering.

Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar - Comfort, Cocktails, and a Sweet Finish…read more A quick stop in Fort Worth to visit friends during our six-week road trip led us here, and it turned into one of those "glad we chose this place" kind of nights. The space is large, comfortable, and full of life, even on a Wednesday evening. There are cozy sofa corners if you want something a little more intimate, plus an outdoor area that's "outside"... but not too outside, which honestly feels like a win. Drinks were a highlight. My boulevardier was spot on, and then I shared a smoked Old Fashioned with my friend that was just... exquisite. Smooth, balanced, and a little dramatic in the best way. Food held its own. The chicken and waffles were delicious, the chopped chicken salad was fresh and satisfying, and my friend's Reuben got a lot of love from her side of the table. And then came dessert. We shared the Whiskey Cake with praline ice cream, and let's just say, it lives up to the name. Decadent, rich, and absolutely worth it. Service was really good. Attentive without hovering, and thoughtful in those small ways that stand out. At one point, our server split the Old Fashioned for us without us even asking. That kind of anticipation earns points. This is the kind of place you return to when you're back in town. Comfortable, reliable, and just indulgent enough to feel like a treat.

My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Tupelo Honey is a stand-alone restaurant conveniently located near Hwy 114 and 161. There's plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and a mixture of tables, booths, and bar seating. Speaking of the bar, it acts as a beautiful backdrop for the entire restaurant. 1 Star. Service - The service is always friendly. Our server is always smiling, and I can't help but feel welcome with southern charm. Tupelo Honey trains its staff well, and I really enjoy coming here and interacting with the staff. 1 Star. Food - I always begin with the Biscuits with a Cause. These light, flakey biscuits are served warm with a crispy exterior and soft, flakey inside. But honestly, the biscuits act as a delivery mechanism for the butter and blue berry jam. I always ask for an extra side of butter and jam because I use it all. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Honey Dusted Fried Chicken (dark). The chicken was perfectly fried, crispy, and sweet. And the dark meat was juicy. Pro Tips - use your hands. Another great dish was experienced. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I have yet to have a below average dish at Tupelo Honey. Yes, it's a chain. But it's also a darn good chain that keeps its menu fresh and is worth multiple visits. 1 Star.

They did seem a little busy and I believe there may have been a shift change at some point. It took us 15 mins to get a table outside. I will add the wait time is the only bummer in my experience. It took a good minute to get our beverages and food. There was a crowd but it seemed to be in and out pretty quicky. The food was great! I ordered their sangria, very refreshing and not overly sweet. Southern shakshuka. $15.99 two eggs* baked in a tomato, spinach, & peperonata sauce, over stone-ground goat cheese grits, topped with basil (710 cal) - This combo was good, loved the creaminess and even had leftovers for the next day. Sweet & Spicy Fried Chicken & Waffles $16.99 Hand-breaded crispy chicken tenders drizzled with sriracha honey, served over golden buttermilk waffles. --enjoyed the Spiciness it truly was subtle but did grow as you continued to eat. The buttermilk Waffles were fluffy and light and full bite with the drizzled syrup was everything. Enjoyed the flavors of the whiskey flight and happy you have the flavor cards to be able to give the tasting a proper review. Over all price is average in comparison but the food quality is there so I have no issue spending an extra dollar or so. I would like to stop by again when it's less busy.
