Food - Shin's Donuts is the epitome of the saying "Not all donut shops are the same". While the word Donut is in the title, my favorite item is the sausage roll. On my most recent visit, I ordered my roll wrapped in a croissant dough. The buttery roll is an upgrade from the original sausage roll. It was soft and warm (next time I'll put it in the toaster oven) and quickly disappeared once my kids discovered them. And while Shin's has plenty of donut types, I only need a glazed donut. Shin's glazed donut is soft, airy, and never dries out. It's perfect when I dunk it in black coffee. Bonus - the staff always gives me a bag of donut holes to go. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. First, we were told we weren't allowed to sit at the bench to eat, only for them to reluctantly backtrack and say it was "okay just this once." To make matters worse, the food was a massive disappointment. One of the 3 kolaches and the cream cheese danish were completely stale and tasted several days old--hard as a rock with an off-smell. We will absolutely never be back. There are plenty of other local donut shops nearby that actually deserve our support. Save your money and go elsewhere.
