I found this place on yelp at the last minute. We arrive an hour before closing and they were helpful. They didn't really understand english and I do not speak spanish but all I wanted was the Concha sweet bread and they had it! The prices are low and the bread was delicious. We also tried the pineapple and queso turnovers and everything was great. I could not believe how BIG the breads were. I picked up an assortment of 8 different items and my total was about $9. Bread and cake are delicious! They do have a system of numbers instead of names of breads since we hispanics have different names for our bread depending on country that we are coming from. I really like that staff is the only allowed to serve bread. We have never order a cake with picture, just regular happy birthday letter written on cake, but they still need to work on that section since it took about 20min for them to find out about our cake order when we went to pick it up. read more

I am highly impressed with they way they are handling the corona virus situation! I have called several sweet bread places and they all seem to be operating as normal (customers can self serve themselves bread). Not this place! Outside you will see a line, people are spaced 6 feet apart! This is bc they are only allowing one person at a time in the store. The door handle has hand sanitizer taped to it, and inside the worker gets your bread for you! They are doing an awesome job at helping to prevent the spread of Corona! Honestly, I'll never go back after the horrible experience I had when I went to pick up my custom cake. They made me cry and lied and told me they would and apologize. They never did. They don't care. It's so disappointing to see the immediate attitude from three employees at the same time for something they messed up on. I mean , imagine you send a picture of what you want on your cake and the person making your cake goes and googled the character in the picture you sent and CHOOSE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PICTURE? and then tried to force you to take it like that? With colors I didn't choose either ! I said lavender and baby blue and instead got bright yellow and royal blue ! I felt so attacked. I started crying right there and they wouldn't stop ! I am sure this place has great sweets based on the reviews, however, it has the smallest space for customers to stand at the counter that I have ever seen. Hubby and I were looking for a Tres Leches Birthday cake for his mom and found this online with good reviews. Took a chance on the Mom and Pop place and WOW! Its a quaint and delicious smelling shop! Forgot to take pics of the pastries or cake but we will definitely be going back. We bought the sweet bread, piña empanada, m&m cookie, flaky creme pastry, and their small Tres Leches Cake. After careful consideration, this is one of the best sweet bread places I have been able to find in the DFW area. The bread is always fresh and authentic. They also make a similar bread to my state in Mexico. I have a really hard time finding anything even close to that here in the states. Horrible place. I ordered a cake for my moms 50th birthday. They gave me the wrong cake which had the wrong name "Vilma Trejo". We took Vilma Trejo's cake back and turns out we had to pay an additional $50 dollars for the cake. They gave us the wrong cake then charged us again for the cake. What a find! My coworkers and I were on our way back fom lunch talking about needing something sweet when all of a sudden we saw a sign for a bakery. Hidden back in the bowels of the shopping center as we looked around one of my coworkers found it. If you come here, and I recommend you do, look for the Mexican/Latin restaurant at the front of the strip and then know the bakery is right around the corner from their outside patio. What a selection! They had pastries of alk types and flavors, donuts, cakes, cheesecakes, etc. Everything was VERY reasonably priced too, which was even sweeter! My one thing though is that the signs in front of the pastries are in Spanish and I was busy using Google translation to figure out what I was looing at, so I feel like I got a little Spanish lesson along with my pastry! read more

What a terrific find! It's pretty small but brimming with yummy surprises! I got the most beautiful fresh fruit covered tres leches cake. It was moist and delicious! I have always enjoyed eating the sweet bread from this bakery, so I decided to order a cake from here for a birthday party. I ordered the cake a week prior to when I needed it and payed for it. They had a photo of how I wanted the cake. The day I was supposed to pick up the cake I called the bakery around 10:30 A.M. to check and make sure the cake was ready for pick up. The person I was speaking to had no idea about my order. She then asked what time I needed to pick up the cake by and I said 3:00 P.M. I asked if they still had the paper order with how I wanted my cake and she confirmed she did. I showed up to the bakery around 4:00 P.M. and the cake was not what I had ordered. They did not apologize for doing a mistake. The lady who I was speaking to said the only thing I can do is try to fix it in 5 mins.... Not sure what could she have done. The only reason why I proceeded to take the cake is because I was headed to the party afterwards. I didn't have the time to be looking for another cake. I don't recommend this place for cakes at all. I asked to get the supervisors name and she said she couldn't give me that information. I asked when is the supervisor present at the bakery and all she could tell me is that he is at the bakery at 7:00 A.M. Siempre me ha gustado el pan dulce de esta panadería. I so wanted to write a great review for this business. Their pastries are so good and we were looking forward to ordering a wedding cake from them. We picked up the three-tier cake; the cakes were not stack, which was fine. It did make it easier to transport. Once we arrived to the venue, we notice they didn't give us the dowels to allow us to stack the cakes. We had to run out to the local Walmart to buy them. Second, we also notice they did not give us extra icing to cover up the spaces between the cakes. The cake looked awful with the space gaps and the brown cake boards showing. It was very disappointing since the presentation is key when it comes to these events. They may not care about this review or that they delivered a very poor quality product on someone's wedding day. read more
