Banana pudding funnel cake with strawberries
    Therral L.

I always love a nice funnel cake from here. I was in the area and decided to make an unexpected stop. The funnel cakes are always delicious I couldn't decide between the banana pudding or the strawberry so I got banana pudding topped with strawberries. I got some weird looks from the staff but this was the taste I was looking for. I enjoyed every bite of this and I would get it again.

It was an intimate experience and the funnel cakes came out extremely fast! Perfect year round gem!

Holy cow! Sooo stinking good! It is like being at a county fair but so much better cause of all the options. We got a butterfinger funnel cake, fried puff pastry, and scoop of blue bell. Everything was delicious. Everyone was super friendly and service was super quick! No complaints! Just all good!

My family and I absolutely love this spot for dessert! We always have a big order, but have always been served quickly. The funnel cakes, fried oreos, and beignets are all so delicious. We are always greeted with a smile. As soon as you walk in, you feel welcomed.

NuNu and her brother were so inviting when we raffled through the door. We came for the banana pudding funnel cake and ended up getting the dirty wings and sticky wings too. Everything was sooo good! I totally forgot to get a picture of the wings.

Pros Taste Options Cons Size Ambience I ran into this place a few weeks ago on social media with someone tweeting local black owned businesses around the DFW metroplex. I am definitely a fan of funnel cake besides the residue that makes someone look like a cocaine addict, but other than that they're delicious. One free Saturday I decided hey let me check it out so I went here with the intentions of gorging myself on some deliciousness. Sure enough the Strawberry Delight was amazing and gave me everything I needed from the place. There was so much that I couldn't even finish it, definitely outdid the undersized ones at the fair. The pricing was fair also for the services provided. They had several different flavors to choose from with plenty of fruit options, maybe not the best place for a health freak but definitely somewhere to go if you're big on eating around the town. On the down side the location was pretty small and I could tell they were either fairly new to the space or they just didn't care too much about the appearance of their business. There was roughly space for about 6 people at a single time, besides those in the kitchen area working. Size was definitely something to be worried about if this place is going to continue to grow like I know it should. The ambience was also very blend, there were a few colorful illustrations of ice cream and a beach/island themed concept drawn onto the walls, however there was not much more that jumped out and said "Funnel Cake Paradise," besides the actual name. So GREAT taste, average decor, definitely check this place out and grab a goodie on the way out!

My guess is this place has supplied way to many kids with a sugar rush that mom and dad just couldn't control! Yes, I love funnel cakes. Yes, I want to try all 200 flavors. No, that will never happen! Turns out the 2 employees were brother and sister, and mom and dad own the place! Yep, doing my best to support family owned businesses! Of course I ordered strawberry and bananas. Out of bananas. NO! So, with their help, I decided on the turtle funnel cake. Best decision ever! Just look at the picture. A chocolate and nut lovers dream. So good! And what did plain Jane Mike order? That's right, a plain funnel cake with powdered sugar. Boring! But good. Yes, we will be back. There are at least 10 different flavors I have to try! Oh, you'll need a LOT of napkins. Messy! Let's eat!

Customer service: The customer service was very unpleasant. This was our first time visiting. I entered the building with my two kids. 3 employees were standing at the counter. We were the only customers in the restaurant. I said "hello". Silence was returned. I said "hello" again, silence was returned. No one greeted me, or offered any info about the menu. I finally said, "Is anyone going to help me?". Then someone finally offered info. We ordered the Oreo funnel cake and a cinnamon glazed. The funnel cakes were good. But didn't look like the pictures at all. Overall, we are willing to give them another chance.

I have been craving funnel cake for WEEKS, and a friend hipped me to this place. They have some pretty awesome funnel cake flavors, I kept it pretty chill and just got cinnamon apple with powdered sugar. And let me tell you: IT. DID.NOT.DISAPPOINT. So good, I ate half of it in the car before making it home. The star off I gave was for the crazy parking situation and delivery of the funnel cakes. They take your order and ask for a description of your car and where you are parked to deliver the cake (presumably for social distancing so folks aren't packed in the store). Unfortunately, this is located in small strip so the parking lot is chaotic, fire lane was full of cars and I saw folks wandering around looking for the right car for delivery. This is located in a small strip with a hair braider and a BBQ spot and the parking is not enough because it was tight. All that said, I'll def be back for year-round funnel cake! Neither that crazy parking lot nor Covid will stop me!

Recently visited and was suggested to try the Strawberry Short Cake. It was released to purchase a couple of days before me coming there. It brought me home. I'll always be down to come back. Environment was good and very clean for an open-site kitchen.

So I was minding my business heading to an appointment this morning and road passed this place. It was a miracle I saw it cause I'm not from the area amd the gps just so happened to take me that way. When I saw it I made a mental note in my head I had to stop by on my way home and I did just that. That funnel cake was so freaking good. It came out of the grease piping hot and there were REAL Strawberries on there! And the price was great as well. I'm so happy to have stumbled across this place I absolutely love funnel cake and until now the only time I ever get them are at amusement parks and carnivals. I think the funnel cake shop is the most novel idea and wish them tons of success!!

Hidden gem. Definitely like what they are doing here and the rarity of funnel cake places in Dallas make them a hot commodity I'm sure. We love funnel cakes at the state fair and probably never come across them until it's that time. So to find a place that sells them , especially for a very affordable price, is super ideal. Located off Gannon near the Jenny beauty supply store, Funnel cake paradise is located in a suite off the main road. I didn't see any public restrooms, and from the signs on the windows masks are strictly enforced . Besides funnel cakes, we also tried their wing and chicken tender basket. Everything was priced reasonably ranging from 6-8 dollars . The funnel cake was larger and thicker than expected (compared to the fair), large enough to fit in a to go box. Quality wise, it was pleasing even though I think we had our expectations super high to begin with. The lemon pepper wing basket was enjoyable too. Chicken tenders however, probably could've done without and the fries were on the basic side. I did enjoy the fact tgat they treated the customers with respect and gratitude , and even brought the food out to the car. We will definitely be back!

Funnel cake Paradise makes me so happy. The funnel cakes are amazingly good but not only that the food items are as well. the employees are clean and courteous, the prices are extremely reasonable with large portions to boot. I'm not even kidding the last Carnival I went and got a funnel cake did not include any toppings and costed me $10, I can go to funnel cake Paradise and get a specialty funnel cake With all kinds of Delicious Off the wall wouldn't even think about toppings for around $7 !amazing! My only 2 complaint being that the facility is quite small with only a few tables making it not great for large groups and my second complaint might have just been us but they should have included knives along with the silverware as the funnel cake is quite difficult to eat with just a plastic fork. but other than that one of the best dessert places I have eaten at in Dallas Texas. why 5 stars and not JL foodie certified: I like to dine at a restaurant a few times to check for consistency in quality a food and service before I give my personal honor of over and Beyond five stars otherwise known as JL foodie certified *Poor *Decent *Good *Great *Best *JLFoodie Certified Food. The first thing I noticed was how beautiful everything is. The décor is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. And yes...those are real trees. That actually matters to me. I love restaurants with a beautiful aesthetic because it makes the whole experience feel special. Good food is wonderful, but good food in a beautiful space? That's even better. The menu is perfect if you're dining with friends because there are so many things to share. We ordered the traditional sampler, and it was such a fun way to try several Guatemalan dishes. Every plate that came out looked fresh, colorful, and made with care. The cheese pupusa was delicious, and the cotija cheese was the perfect finishing touch. Then there were the plantains. I actually stopped our server to ask, "Do y'all make the plantains from scratch?" They do. And it shows. They were fresh, perfectly cooked, and so good that I kept reaching for another one. Honestly, they may have been my favorite thing on the table. The steak was cooked exactly medium, had a great char, and was full of flavor. Portions were generous across the board, which is always a win because leftovers are basically tomorrow's gift to yourself. The spinach artichoke dip surprised me. If you're someone who genuinely loves spinach, you'll probably be very happy because spinach definitely got top billing in that relationship. It tasted incredibly fresh, and it made me realize I apparently prefer my artichokes to be just a little more competitive. The service was warm and welcoming all evening. I ordered a red sangria that never quite found its way to the table, but honestly, by the end of the meal I was so full that my stomach had already voted "maybe next time." One of my favorite parts of the evening was learning more about San Martín's history. Knowing it began in Guatemala and is especially known for its bakery and breakfast immediately put breakfast on my "I need to come back for this" list. By the end of the meal, we were full, happy, and already talking about what we'd order next time. That's usually the sign of a restaurant I'll happily recommend. Beautiful atmosphere. Fresh food. Generous portions. Outstanding plantains. I'd give San Martín a solid 9 out of 10, and I'm already looking forward to coming back.

It was probably some of the best hot chocolate I have ever had! It was def made with real cocoa! We did end up splurging on some pastries, because DUH!
