Went here for dinner wouldn't go again and wouldn't recommend. I ordered a hibachi steak which was not good and had a lot of stuff that wasn't listed. I also got a miso soup which tasted odd. After we ordered they tried to bring out order out but continued bring out the wrong food. It wasn't an overall great place either. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go again.

There is one aspect of dining in Hibachi restaurants I find completely unnecessary--and that's the hibachi "show" in which diners gather with strangers around the grill to watch the meal prep and get doused in the heat (ala Benihana's and their numerous imitators). I prefer a Japanese diner where you sit in a booth and they bring you that style of food--quicker, cheaper, and without the show. This is what Ginger Hibachi is. Therefore they are way more economical and way quicker making them a solid choice for a relatively fast lunch that is way better than fast food. It's nice enough indoors too and the booths are comfy, the service is efficient and friendly. There are a few menu photos on this yelp page as of 3/2023 that have some incredible prices listed--unfortunately, these prices are no longer accurate. I'd say all dishes are about 30% higher now (3/2023) than they were whenever that photo was added. So, for example, expect to pay $12.95 for a mixed chicken-shrimp hibachi plate with your choice of rice or noodles. Add a couple of bucks a pop if you want a drink and/or an egg roll plus taxes and tip. So not the cheapest lunch around, but not outrageous either and totally fair for the quality of ingredients. I had a chicken and shrimp lunch sized hibachi plate and a glass of water for $13 pre tip. Food was out to me in less than 15 minutes. It's serve yourself for silverware and sauces--plenty of yum yum and soy sauce as well as real ramekins and flatware. If you check out my photo, you'll see the lunch portions are more than enough food. I imagine the dinner portions, for a few bucks more, are actually too much food for one person to eat for one meal. The spices were great, everything was perfectly cooked. The shrimp in particular packed a lot of flavor but the broccoli and rice were both well above average. There were a lot of menu items I'd like to try in the future as well. Definitely a place I'll revisit.

The portions are large, the food is good, everything you can expect from hibachi. The location is in a fun, walkable area and there is a lot of public parking.

The food was very good. I ordered the chicken teriyaki with noodles. Great flavor AND an amazingly large portion! The service was excellent and all of the personnel were friendly and very obliging! I would recommend this quiet, charming little restaurant for a great change of pace.

Here is an updated menu! This is the menu that hangs in a restaurant. I'm sorry that our paper menus are old and outdated but this is an accurate one for you. Very good food we do lunch till 3:30 we open up at 11:00 a.m. open most nights to 8: 30, weekends 9:30.

Tried this place while working in the area. I will say that the food was ok, service was lacking, and a bit over priced. They also need to clean the place. It looks old and dirty. I probably won't be back.

Really good food located in downtown Dickson. The staff was very friendly and we only waited about 10 minutes for our food during dinner time. It's not a big restaurant, so I wouldn't take a big group, but perfect for date nights or lunch. Portions were huge and I ended up taking half of it home. The steak and chicken were cooked and seasoned perfectly.

There was only 1 table left open after my wife and I were seated. After trying the first appetizer, we then proceeded to order $200 worth of food. This is NOT saying this place is expensive, this is saying how AMAZING the food is. We wanted leftovers and another meal for later from here. Gyoza was so fresh and cooked perfectly, I'm in no way a fan of sauces but the one they came with, I was nearly drinking it from the plate. Spicy Rock Shrimp are what Bang Bang Shrimp from Bonefish Grill, WISH they could be. Highly recommend trying them. The Dragon, Kamikaze, Wow, Fire Lobster, Sakura and Tiger rolls were incredible. Everything was so fresh and tasted amazing. This is one of the only places that has had Unagi Don and it was cooked perfectly, it literally melts in your mouth. We also ordered Gyudon and the House Fried Rice. The meat is so flavorful and fresh in literally everything. There is nothing here you can go wrong with here. My only complaint is they have Pepsi. After trying this food, I'd happily drink from the sink if it meant eating here again. Even though they were super busy our server Avery was amazing as well! She was very sweet and did an amazing job. We're over an hour away with other options nearby but we will always pass them up to drive back to this place, there is nothing you can go wrong with here. Absolutely and whole heartedly recommend this place!

The restaurant is on the smaller side with a mix of table seating and counter seats overlooking the kitchen. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation because it filled up quickly. Even though the restaurant was packed, the noise level was perfect--we could still have a conversation without shouting. The bar service for drinks was a little slow, but the staff kept us updated throughout and were incredibly friendly. Everyone was hustling--they handled check-ins, took orders, ran food, and kept everything moving despite how busy they were. The food completely exceeded my expectations. The ahi toast and seared yellowtail were absolute must-orders. Both had incredible flavor, and the fish practically melted in your mouth. The cucumber salad was fresh, flavorful, and a great appetizer while we waited for our drinks. The dumplings took quite a while to come out (they actually arrived after our hot pot), and while they were tasty, they weren't nearly as memorable as everything else we ordered. The shabu shabu was outstanding. We chose the miso broth with the NY strip, and the portion was huge! There was more than enough food for the three of us to happily share, and everything was fresh and delicious. Our cocktails were excellent and well worth the wait. Overall, Kosho delivered a fantastic dining experience with amazing food, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

A good amoutn of tables, but does not feel too crowded. To get Shabu Shabu, you either sit at the bar or you grab a table that is condusive to shabu shabu. If you have multiple people ordering shabu shabu with different broths, you should grab the bar. The New York strip is better than the short rib, in my view. I did the miso broth, which is not overly salty, like some. A definite win for me. Adding in the spicy chile oil, fresh garlic, and scallions added the proper kick to the broth. The handroll was truly a handroll. She said she preferred when they sent it out rolled, as there was more rice than she normally likes. But the salmon itself was done well and tasty. The lamb lollipops were excellently done. I would return for this alone. Having numbers on the drinks is likely authentic, but I love creative names. The 35 is a Japanese twist on an Old Fashioned. The sishito pepper is a nice touch as a garnish (or appetizer?). The 34 was even better. It did not quite hit the high note of a similar drink at Sushi-San, but it did not disappoint. I can safely recommend this to anyone wanting to get shabu shabu without the all you can eat buffet option you get at shabu shabu on West End.

We've been here twice in the past month. Our first visit was great. Sushi was perfect, service was…read moregood, there were just a couple minor complaints. The second time felt like throwing money in a toilet. Sushi was close to room temp, service sucked bottom, and there wasn't much to like about the whole experience. Our first visit was on a weekend evening and the second was midday during the week. Not sure if that makes a difference, but if we return it'll be in the evening, and probably a wknd night. Assuming the weekend experience was closer to their norm, I'll focus on that for the purpose of describing the food and whatnot. First, the good: -The wait time for a table was reasonable. We didn't visit the hibachi side, which looked to have a long wait, so I can't speak for that. -The staff wore masks and there was plastic dividing each booth. -Sushi was delicious! We ordered avocado roll smoked salmon roll, spicy crunch crab roll, Alaska roll, and shrimp tempura roll. The clear standouts were the spicy crunch crab and the Alaska roll. -Service was good. It was a young man who was polite and quick. Now for the meh: -Bathroom smelled like no one has flushed the toilets since the place opened. I don't know what the issue is, but they need to take care of it. There was a little air freshener thing on the counter, but it did nothing to cover up the stench. Fix your plumbing! -Miso was disappointing. One of my kids liked it. Two of us didn't. The kid who liked it eats questionable non-food items all the time, so I don't pay too much attention to his recommendations. He doesn't even have a yelp account. -We ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer. The server repeated that back to us twice: when we ordered and when he brought the food to the table. And yet, what we got was a shrimp and vegetable tempura appetizer. Two pieces of shrimp and, you know, veggies. This felt like bait and switch since the pic in the menu showed a plate of all shrimp, and there was both shrimp tempura appetizer and vegetable tempura appetizer listed in the menu. Seems like their attempt to save money. I could have saved my money by not ordering if I had known they wouldn't bring what we ordered, though. This is the kind of annoying crap that really irritates me. Take note, don't do business like this. As for the service during our second visit, the lady clearly didn't want to be serving. She was rude, we had to ask multiple times for basic items (small plates, etc.), and then she sat at the bar watching videos on her phone. I mean, maybe she's the owner and that stuff works for her. It was unpleasant for us. Four stars because of our first visit.
