    Crab rangoons
    Laura C.

Crab rangoons were too crabby for my taste. Eel avocado maki was good, no complaints. Salmon avocado maki was too vinegary. Spicy tuna maki was pretty bad. Way too spicy, so much that you couldn't even taste anything else, and adding Cucumber makes it cheap.

This is by far my favorite sushi delivery spot near Watertown. The sushi always tastes fresh and they have a good variety. I will continue to order from here for my bi-weekly sushi fix! I also love the ramen soup with pork belly. Would recommend

This is the worst food i've ever had. i ordered the miso salmon and it was raw. in addition, the sushi pizza was flavorless and the spicy tuna tasted like sewage.

Amazing, delicious, great service, clean and calm ambiance, warm inside, overall a lovely experience. We got sushi rolls (all so yummy, Symphony, Sake-2-Me, and Spider), and sweet garlic udon. Very happy!

Pineapple fried rice, Watertown pad Thai, Korean galbi & bao bao dinner
    Victoria C.

A solid place for your Asian cravings with everything from Pad Thai to Bao sandwiches. We ordered delivery through GrubHub and got Watertown Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice, Galbi, and BaoBao dinner (3 baos & fries). I loved the extra amount of peanuts that were in the Pad Thai that added extra crunch to every single bite of noodle I ate. The pineapple fried rice was good but really oily. The galbi was sweet, but a little different from the taste I am used to. The baos were solid - we ordered the Korean beef, and the fries were average and come with a side of ketchup. We enjoyed leftovers the next day, so feel free to order and try that extra dish.

I'm honestly glad that I waited to post my original review with a lower rating and thought through…read morethe experience a little bit more. As always, I find it a bit harder to review fusion spots. Not just any fusion either, but one that is all over the world map. It's easy to just nitpick one dish and use it to judge everything else; but what about that is remotely fair? For example, their Beef Rendang (a dish that I'm very familiar with - including the different regional renditions) is more like a hint towards what "real" Beef Rendang is. I don't even need to speak on behalf of the Filipinos regarding their adobo (which I also grew up on) who are infamous to show up on public forums to criticize and say "that's not how my grandmother makes it" (lol). What did come to mind is the old quote that many often find negative but actually was meant to be a positive phrase (if the last part isn't so often omitted). "Jack of all trades, master of none, though often times better than a master of one". That definitely applies here with their style of food. There's a lot going on and a good portal to the true potential of each dish. Definitely give them a try! Portions are good and the food is definitely tasty!

In fact, ever since the other Chinese spot changed ownership, I entirely switched to eating here whenever I want a quick sit down Chinese meal. The food is good. It comes out pretty fast. It's done pretty well. And the best part, it just doesn't remotely hurt the wallet. Even being a regular, I'm still amused at how the service is so stereotypical Chinese in the way that I'm just another soul coming in to be fed and not remembered or acknowledged. Mind you, I'm here a LOT and am usually the only one sitting there eating while delivery people repeatedly come and go. Anyways, two reasons why I'm unable to give them 5 stars. First, the tap water they serve...tastes like @#$%. I don't know what it is but I've actually started bringing my own water bottle (or just ordered a soda). Two, the steamed rice is inconsistent. Half the time, it's perfect. The other half...is wet and mushy (I want to say a reheat but isn't that just such a faux pax in Chinese cuisine?). Nonetheless, this is one of the few four and less starred places on my list that I will still continue to frequent and recommend to anyone in the area wanting a quick and decent meal for cheap!

For $17.95, getting 3 rolls of sushi isn't a bad deal, so I'm giving this a 4/5. The combo comes with a spicy tuna roll, a california roll, and a salmon avocado roll. Spicy Tuna Roll: This was pretty disappointing. I really love spicy tuna rolls that have the minced tuna, spicy mayo, and tempura flakes all mixed together, but this was not that. This roll was a tuna cucumber roll with spicy mayo drizzled on top. With that, the spicy mayo was really overpowering and I couldn't taste the tuna at all. I'd prefer the normal tempura and mayo taste or just a tuna and cucumber, but doing it this way wasn't my favorite. California Roll: This was not bad - the imitation crab was big and plump and there was fish roe inside of the roll instead of on the outside which made it have a better texture in my opinion. The avocado was fresh and these bites were pretty enjoyable. Salmon Avocado Roll - This was the best roll of the 3 - the salmon tasted good and the avocado was fresh again. In all 3 rolls, the rice was a little dense, but at least it was a very filling 3 rolls for a good price point. 4/5!

Not spicy. Not too saucy, so you can "feel" the noodle, but I would have liked more vegetables. -- Yibin Fiery Noodles: Warm and similarly al dente, these were manageably spicy. Meat crumble, seeds or nuts, scallions, and heat. -- Red and Green Pepper Chicken: Batterless but crisp, tender, and not boneless. Relentlessly spicy from several heat sources and kaleidoscopically delicious. The closest comparison is dry hot chicken that also goes by a few other names, but this was better. Elite, and the best thing I ate in all of 2025, but sadly no longer on the menu. -- Stone Pot Tofu: Billed as Ma Po Tofu sizzling in a stone pot, but no sizzle and no stone pot. Identified as very spicy but minimally spicy and more numbing (more "ma" than "la"). I enjoyed the overall flavor (heavily seasoned) and the saltiness of the fermented black beans. Despite some of the menu discrepancies, this was a really good version for my tastes. Near-elite. -- Green Beans With Eggplant: Strong flavor, not too hot spicewise, but volcanically hot temperaturewise. Decent. -- Chicken and Clams: Black bean flavor, whole peppercorns, spicy but loaded with flavor beyond the spice. A deceptively huge and quite delicious. Elite. -- Beef Spring Rolls: Not my choice. Crisp, beefy, and chili sauce on the side added contrast. Solid, but boring, more typical of an Americanized offering, and a waste of an opportunity given Too Hot's killer menu. -- Pork Belly with Fermented Beans: Superb rendition, not drastically different from twice cooked pork, but much more flavor and giant pieces. Near-elite to Elite. -- Shrimp in Dry Hot Pot: Tons of dry rub spiciness, giant shrimp, chopped vegetables, and crinkle cut potatoes. Near-elite. -- Brussels Sprouts w/Shallots: More subtle flavors here but hardly bland. Fried shallots had sort of an onion ringy presence in miniature. Cooked just right. Outstanding overall experience, with the best dish on the first visit and almost all winners on the second. Kudos to the friendly and helpful service, including a server suggestion to switch an item after noticing we ordered two very similar items. Eager to return often and try even more of the menu.

Interior felt very modern and sleek - it was a bit small as well so it was a little cramped between tables and walking areas. Everything tasted authentic, my only qualm was paying for rice - you can't not have rice and it seems ridiculous to pay $3 for one bowl. Overall, a solid restaurant and option for Chinese food in Harvard Square.

The restaurant shares an entryway with an apartment rental realty business, which is already a bit weird from the point of view of atmosphere. I almost missed the door to the restaurant because it's in a corner, and there were several delivery boxes of takeout containers waiting to be taken in, almost blocking the doorway. If I had been in a wheelchair, I wouldn't have been able to get through the door. I mentioned this to the front desk staff and the boxes were gone before I left. My plan was to eat at the bar. It turned out that there was a large party hanging out at the bar before sitting down at the large central table, so the only room for me was at the very edge of the bar. However, the bartender was nice and got me a menu, and they did eventually sit down so I got a little more space. My cocktail (pomegranate old-fashioned) was excellent. So was my turmeric tandoori salmon. I had a glass of Pinot Grigio, which was very reasonably priced for Brookline. I was not thrilled by the cardamom chocolate tart: the chocolate was liquid, inside a stale-tasting shell. Overall, it has potential and I'll probably come back. I'll call in advance to ask about large parties, and I'll avoid the chocolate tart unless I'm assured that it's changed.

My drink came after 15 mins and then we had to remind the waiter about his whiskey. That took another 10. We started with the chicken bao buns and the samosas. Both spectacular! My only complaint is the little size for the samosa size. For our mains we got the short rib and the white butter chicken. The butter chicken could've used a bit more chicken for the price and was frankly a bit tough. The sauce was great. The short rib was flavorful and packed the perfect punch. Dipping the garlic naan in both sauces was my fav part!! Overall an ok experience. I want to give the restaurant grace because it was very packed but service was poor. I think we had 4 different staff members help us total which probably led to lots of miscommunication.

I believe this is a family-owned establishment, offering Korean cuisine. We arrived slightly before they opened back up for dinner, & ended up being their first customers for the evening. Throughout our entire meal, we had the same server who helped us... she was very nice & sweet! We ended up ordering these three dishes to try: -kimchi seafood pancake -spicy beef stew -pork bulgogi Thoughts: So, I was reading some reviews before coming here & I was kind of shocked that they charge extra if you want banchan here lol. I've never seen this before. Anywho, didn't end up getting banchan to try. All the dishes took around 10-20 min to arrive, with the kimchi seafood pancake being served to us first. I personally enjoyed it! It was crispy on the edges/crust but it was a little hard to eat only because it kept falling apart on us. For the pork bulgogi (grill), we were expecting the usual gochujang + gochugaru w/ carrots + onions on a skillet. This was simply served on a white plate w/ a bunch of bean sprouts. We were not expecting there to be bean sprouts at all lol & the menu does not include descriptions for any of their dishes, other than the alert server of any allergies. We're not allergic to bean sprouts by any means, but do not enjoy eating them. It was a bit unexpected since we've never experience this dish being cooked this way. Aside from the bean sprouts in the pork bulgogi, I would say this dish was overall not a hit for us. The flavor profile was similar to teriyaki sauce? Not exactly sure but just ended up not being anything we envisioned. Now, as for the spicy beef stew, I enjoyed the flavor! It came with glass noodles & a side of rice. Portion sizes were average & on par with other Korean spots in MA, in my opinion. I would say, one thing I wished was if everything was spicier. We found all the dishes to be very mild in spice. Overall, I would say 3/5. It unfortunately didn't hit the spot for us. The prices were also on the higher side. Normally it wouldn't matter if the flavors were there for us but I don't think we will be returning any time soon. Perhaps maybe in the future to try their sundubu jjigae/tofu soup as I see great reviews for that dish from here. Parking: street parking
