We ordered the following dishes: +Kimchi seafood pancake - overall profile nice, different look then I've seen but flavor profile was fine for me, messy and fell apart but many places are like that no biggie scoop em up! +Spicy beef stew with glass noodles and rice. Flavorwise, well seasoned broth enjoyed it on a cold day, wish it was actually spicy. Pork bulgogi, I'm usually accustomed to gochujang chili paste style with onions and carrots but they have a different take. It was more a tangy sweet bbq or teriyaki style with a load of bean sprouts (i personally hate bean sprouts not that i can't eat it haha) not my cup of tea tho. We're always looking for a new Korean spot to try & the other day, we decided to venture out to Arlington to try WooRi! I believe this is a family-owned establishment, offering Korean cuisine. We arrived slightly before they opened back up for dinner, & ended up being their first customers for the evening. Throughout our entire meal, we had the same server who helped us... she was very nice & sweet! We ended up ordering these three dishes to try: -kimchi seafood pancake -spicy beef stew -pork bulgogi Thoughts: So, I was reading some reviews before coming here & I was kind of shocked that they charge extra if you want banchan here lol. I've never seen this before. Anywho, didn't end up getting banchan to try. All the dishes took around 10-20 min to arrive, with the kimchi seafood pancake being served to us first. I personally enjoyed it! It was crispy on the edges/crust but it was a little hard to eat only because it kept falling apart on us. For the pork bulgogi (grill), we were expecting the usual gochujang + gochugaru w/ carrots + onions on a skillet. This was simply served on a white plate w/ a bunch of bean sprouts. We were not expecting there to be bean sprouts at all lol & the menu does not include descriptions for any of their dishes, other than the alert server of any allergies. We're not allergic to bean sprouts by any means, but do not enjoy eating them. It was a bit unexpected since we've never experience this dish being cooked this way. Aside from the bean sprouts in the pork bulgogi, I would say this dish was overall not a hit for us. The flavor profile was similar to teriyaki sauce? Not exactly sure but just ended up not being anything we envisioned. Now, as for the spicy beef stew, I enjoyed the flavor! It came with glass noodles & a side of rice. Portion sizes were average & on par with other Korean spots in MA, in my opinion. I would say, one thing I wished was if everything was spicier. We found all the dishes to be very mild in spice. We went there on date night. Centrally located in Arlington it's a relatively small place. Food was delicious- I love the kimchi soup.

Extremely Rude Staff, Not Family-Friendly. Guests Are Not Allowed to Ask any question; Kids Are Not Allowed to Talk. We've been loyal customers of this restaurant since it first opened during the pandemic. It's been our go-to spot on weekends, and we've always appreciated the warm service, especially from the weekend staff. One lady in particular has always been fantastic--she even memorized our usual orders, which made the experience so much more enjoyable. Unfortunately, our visit today on Monday, January 6, 2025, at 11:40-11:50 AM was a complete departure from what we've come to expect. It was a truly disappointing and unpleasant experience, primarily because of the behavior of a male waiter. What Happened: * When we walked in, the first thing this waiter did was stare at my kids and yell, "Be quiet!" My kids weren't even being loud--they were just talking. This immediately made us feel unwelcome, as though children aren't allowed to speak if they're dining here. * After being seated, we looked over the menu and began placing our order. The waiter appeared impatient with bad attitude, despite the fact that we were the only customers dining in at the time. I can understand if someone isn't in the best mood on a Monday morning/noon, but his attitude was completely unprofessional. * When I started our order with, "Can I have a potato pancake?" the waiter seemed annoyed. My kids then politely asked for soft drinks, and instead of responding, he just stared at them, which made them uncomfortable. * I later asked about the kimchi stir-fry with pork, which was featured on a special poster we'd seen during a previous visit. The waiter rudely flipped the menu over and tossed it in front of me as if throwing trash, saying, "This one?" * When I tried to clarify, he cut me off, saying, "PLEASE READ THE MENU." At this point, I was still trying to remain calm and respectful, so I asked, "Can't I ask questions about the menu?" He shot back, "Just read the menu. I'm just here to take the order." When I decided to leave, I asked for his name, and his response was, "I have no name." It's shocking that the staff could be so cowardly as to refuse to take accountability for their actions by not even sharing their name. But there is only one male Summary: This experience was absolutely terrible, especially given how quiet the restaurant was (we were the only table dining in at 11:45 AM). We've been regulars here for years and have always enjoyed the food and service from other waitress but this no-name waiter's behavior was unacceptable. This is such a wonderful restaurant with the best Korean food in the area. Everything I've eaten here has been wonderful, and we are very lucky to have Korean food right in the neighborhood. I love getting bibimbap and bulgogi. I also like how they make these spicy rice cakes on a stick that taste kind of like tteokbokki but they have a firmer texture and aren't drowning in sauce. We would have given it 4 stars but we had to wait there for extra 30min after the time they told us it would be ready. Other than the extra long wait, the food was good. We had two bibimbabs, soft tofu stew, and crispy rice cake. The bibimbabs were tasty but they were cold. We guess it was made first and got cold while we were waiting for the rest of food to be ready. The crispy rice cake was Luke warm. The soft tofu stew was very hot and tasty, which was made last in our order. To sum it up, you probably need to double the wait time if planning to order take out. It took 70min in total for the 4 items to be ready in our order, while we were told it would take 35 to 40 min when we called in to order. It is probably better to dine in there than takeout, if you prefer to have hot dishes. read more

I had ordered 2 Entrees, the spicy pork belly and the Kalbi which is Traditional Korean style marinated short rib. Both entrees are served with fresh lettuce wraps, special house bean paste, and rice. Also included are the small side dishes of Kimchi, pickled onions, cucumbers, and more onions. The spicy pork belly was absolutely delicious, each bite was filled with flavor. The pork belly was marinated to perfection and each piece had such a nice balance of both meat and tender melt in your mouth fat. The Kalbi was my favorite, each piece was marinated and properly grilled. The Kalbi was glossy, dark reddish brown with a smoky, sweet taste. The meat was fall off the bone tender. Overall this was an amazing spot and I'm glad I found it. I'll definitely be making a return, there's a few more dishes that I would love to try at this restaurant. Decided to go out of comfort zone and trek out a bit further for Korean food and Woori did not disappoint. The place isn't too big so its ideal for parties of 2 or 4. Parking is street with meters but it was night time so I didn't have trouble find a space. Food: (4.5/5) Crispy Spicy Rice Cake - Absolutely love this! They take cooked rich cake and crisp the outside so you get a nice hardy shell and chewy rice cake inside. The spicy sauce is spread evenly over the rice cake and gives the sweet spicy tang that compliments the normally bland rice filling. Personally I prefer more sauce so make sure you ask for extra. (4/5) Beef Love Fries - Essentially peppered beef (ground consistency) with a medium crispy coating. It comes in clumps but stays together solidly and tastes great. It comes with a ginger dipping sauce that rounds out peppery flavor. Its not the spicy peppery flavor but regular black pepper. (4/5) Spicy Tofu Stew w/ Pork - Staple Korean dish that I always get to as a benchmark for Korean stews. I have to say, the best part of Woori's tofu stew is the tofu itself!. It had super silky texture and just worked well with the spiciness level of the stew. The depth of flavor (umami) was a little weak though compared to Kaju Tofu House version so lost some points there but everything else about it was on par. This place is SPECTACULAR! Easily the best Korean food this side of the river. Every time my husband and I walk in we are greeted like family, and that's really what it feels like. It's like you have stepped into the owner's kitchen and she is doing everything she can to make you feel at home. The service is always great, especially these days where everyone is short staffed and doing the best they can with whom they have. (Keep this in mind as you dine out these days, folks. People have NO staff and are just trying to get by after having 2 years of their lives and profits ripped away from them. Commenting on service unless it is TERRIBLE should be verboten until things get a little smoother for these establishments.) Everything is good, from the warm Cinnamon Punch (seriously, just get it), to the Banchan (side dishes), to the Bibimbap, to the grilled selections, to the small plates! My favourite is the pork belly grill, and make sure to get some of the seaweed rolls as an appetizer, or cheesy dumplings, or really ANYTHING. All the Banchan are house-made and super creative and tasty, so don't skip them. No boring kim chi here!
