A refreshing lunch on a humid day. I got the Kreate Your Own Bowl. It was a unique fusion of Korean ingredients and Japanese flavors that worked quite well. Fish and ingredient quality were both solid. Will have to return to try some of the street food!
Kimchipapi, consider me your kimchison(too much?) I must be a part of this family and all they have going on here. I mean, I've heard of rhdjdjd before, but my dislike for American corndog from a young age has kept me completely oblivious to an other version. Just a very select few times in my life, I have eaten something so good, it's made me question everything around me. Korean corndog?!? How could I have lived this long and overlook something so good? It is nothing like the corndogs we are used to in America. The panko is everything. The crunchy texture paired with the oooooeeeyyy gooooeyy cheese makes this what I can only describe as a eutrophic experience. Yes the corndog is phenomenal, but the crispy chicken sliders alone would have been worth the trip. The crunchy, light and airy breading is perfection. Paired with house made pickles, spicy mayo and a pillowy soft bun, and a honey teriyaki pineapple glaze crispy chicken. I did not come here for any sort of chicken item, but unexpectedly, this is easily a top 3 chicken sandwich/slider I've ever had. This little restaurant is dangerous. The menu is simply irresistible. Kimchi papi may be small in footprint, but it packs a huge punch to the tastebuds.
Delicious, fun spot to go to with friends or family. The customizable Korean corn dogs are simply superb, and they have same really fun combinations like Hot Cheetos. We also tried the Kimchipapi Fries, which had a great blend of toppings. There's some searing inside, though not a lot, but it wasn't crowded when we came. Would definitely recommend going if you get the chance.

I recently ordered a corn dog with half hot dog & half mozzarella, and it was just all right. Definitely need the extra condiments, ketchup and mustard for me. Their poke bowls are not bad either, just on the smaller size in regard to portions. Wish they were a hit more generous with the toppings and protein. Corn dogs and food is about a 10-15 min wait after ordering. Parking can be found pretty easily, especially during the day on a weekday. Lots of 2 hr meter parking spots available right outside.
Came here while visiting Boston and was pretty disappointed despite the positive reviews. I got the spam musubi bowl. Bowl was pricey for the quantity and the taste was aight, a little bit too salty. It would have been better if the corn was in smaller pieces instead of chunks since it's harder to mix. We also got the croc jibbit for fun.
my new favorite place for takeout!! the chicken sliders and hot cheeto corn dog are sooo good. staff were friendly too, and there was plenty of tables inside.

The cheesy corndogs are really good. I ordered the Cheetos korndog with only cheese. I recommend getting only cheese. The hotdog portion is whatever to me. Service is straightforward, the workers are like NPCs everytime I went, lol! You interact with them lightly, as there is a machine to order. The ambiance is casual and simple, could be better honestly. $5.99 per corn dog! I'd come back for sure!! I wish we are able to dine-in during the last 30 minutes before closing, but it's cool. I would give 3.75 if I could.
Ever since Kimchipapi opened, we always love returning for takeout especially since it's in such a great location! After trying an array of Korean corn dogs in Boston, I've got to say that Kimchipapi has my heart. I love the light coating of sugar on top of the corn dogs that is both flavorful and also a pretty thick corn dog at the same time so you know you're getting your money's worth! One thing I always look forward to is the cheese pull and these corn dogs always hit the spot for me! Especially with the ketchup and mustard they give on the side that really tops it off. In terms of other items on their menu, we also got the KFC bowl and the truffle fries that were pretty solid. Unfortunately, it is a small shop basically meant for just takeout and so some items on the menu are a bit pricey and service is a bit slow at times but the food makes up for it sometimes! SO GOOD. I've ordered take out a couple of times from here and I have not been disappointed. The corn dogs are as you expect -- crispy on the outside and cheesy on the inside (and they somehow stay warm through a 40 minute commute). Bowls are also wonderful bc you can customize them to your taste palette. I'd definitely recommend the kfc bowl bc they load the bowl with delicious fried chicken. On top of that, you also get to add toppings of your choice to round out the meal.
I got the corndog with half hot dog and half mozzarella, the cheese pull was definitely mukbang worthy. So definitely worth it. The honey teriyaki sliders were okay, I wasn't really a fan of the flavor. And the spicy pickled cucumbers weren't really crispy and fresh so I wasn't liking the overall combo. I think the corndogs are worth, not necessarily the sliders.
This place is a good place to grab food togo. It is not a big place for a big group. The food came out quickly and the corndog was really good. I just wished it was little bit hotter because the cheese was not melted all the way. I also wished there were more types of sauce but it was still good with just ketchup and mustard. Overall it's a great place to visit if you are in Allston area and a good place to grab something quick.
FOOD: We got a few things. Okonomi Hotdog, Honey Teriyaki sliders, KFC Fries and build your own poké bowl. The BEST thing we got was the poké bowl. It was delicious and fresh and light and delicious! Now for this next part, keep in mind that I'm fully aware that fried food is greasy, and I've been eating Korean food (including Korean Fried Chicken) for years...in Koreatown NYC and LA. The KFC Fries were oily. The fries were good, but the chicken itself held a LOT of oil and the breading was super thick. It would've also been better if the sauces on top were layered into the fries. The chicken was super saucy, but the fries were bone dry. I ended up flipping all the chicken over so the sauce would touch the fries. The chicken chunks were also MASSIVE. Whole thing would've been top tier if it weren't for the extra grease. My sister said the hotdog was ok. It tasted like a hotdog lol. The sliders have the same oily chicken, so only one was eaten. The cucumbers that come one top of the sliders are DELICIOUS though. I'll eat those by the bucket. They're NOT pickles. Now the poké. I built the bowl with sushi rice, corn, kimchi, seaweed salad, spicy cucumbers, crispy onions, dried seaweed, spicy salmon, spicy mayo and eel sauce. BOMB. It was so good. We killed that bowl. I would 100% go back just for that bowl with all the toppings. Drinks are limited. Coke and Orange Fanta in glass bottles, Ginger ale, Coke and 2 diff seltzers in cans. SERVICE: Fast as hell! They're SO fast! I ordered drinks separately and the woman behind the counter opened them and handed them to me before I reached my seat. They come and clean the tables right away when you leave, but you don't feel rushed or anything. There's a menu machine where you order and pay if you're paying with card on the left, and a register if you're paying with cash on the right. We waited for food less than 15 mins from confirming the order. Everything comes with a plastic fork, spoon and knife and all the food comes on one tray if you're dining in. They're also SLINGING DoorDash or fantuan orders for pick up. They're FAST. I witnessed it. AMBIANCE: It's def a post bar/post concert spot. Like you've been drinking and vibing and need something greasy to soak up the alcohol in your stomach. It's small inside, the tables are tight and there aren't many of them, but there IS space to sit if it's just 2-3 of you. There's also a bathroom for customers. PARKING: Street parking. That's it . You pay from 8 am to 6 pm on some blocks and on others, there's a 2 hour limit within that time frame. You WILLLL circle the block a few times.

This was a very interesting experience trying a fusion of Korean food meets American food! If you're looking for something to fill you up late at night, that's packed with flavor, you found the place! Definitely checkout the fries with the chicken--super crispy and YUM! The hotdog is veryyyy interesting as well! Staff is very friendly and will answer any and all questions you may have! Haven't been here since 2 yrs ago. Today is Thursday Aug 27,2026. 3:32pm. I ordered the honey teriyaki sliders, honey teriyaki 8 piece and got the original corn dog beef hot dog. For a drink I got the Ramune strawberry drink. The sliders were delicious the buns tasted fresh the chicken cooked good and the sauce was great. The 8 piece was just as good. The sesame and glaze was perfect blend. The corn dog was great not greasy the dough was light and the dog was beef dog was perfect. The strawberry drink was so refreshing first time trying not too sweet and a good drink! This place hast lost its touch food is still very good! Very happy! read more

I'm pretty torn between 3 stars and 4 stars. I like the concept and mixing Korean and poke but some of the food just wasn't as good as expected. I'm giving it 3 stars for that reason. There is no dine in seating currently so we ordered it to go. They gave a sticker with the meal! The food: - kimchipapi bowl: about the size of my hand for $16. I was glad it wasn't all rice like some places (pokeworks) but I would say the flavor falls a bit short. - flyin Hawaiian bowl: this sucked. There was no sauce, the ingredients tasted well but felt like individual items on a plate. - the org corndog: probably the best thing we tried. It's covered in sugar which I was off put by but it tasted great (not too heavy) -8pc kfc honey teriyaki: not for me. The pieces of chicken are HUGE and they give a lot but I did not like the batter or the sauce. Also very salty. It is all white meat and fairly dry. I probably would only come back and get the kimchipapi bowl and corndog but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. Only if I'm in the area and craving it. read more

Good food, great unassuming service. We got a cheesey dog and a beef dog with potato + sugar. All great, it is a corndog at the end of the day. The fries were amazing, cheeto fries were fine. Right amount of crispy and soggy imo. Got complimentary stickers. Would go again! Go! read more
This is fun food - after seeing these Korean corn dogs pop up all over Boston and Quincy, I had to give it a try. These crazy corn dogs are tasty - we got the potato cheese. The chicken are a step up from chicken nuggets - nice large pieces of chicken breast but it's not my thing but my friend wolfed hers down. I do like the fact that the owner was working hard and kept his eatery super clean. That is a big plus! read more
The inside of this place is really small with just a few tables, not really designed to sit for a long time. It is clean and bright inside, reminiscent of a lot of modern "street food" places in Korea. Service tends to be a but slow, but things come out really fresh so if you're not in a rush, it is so worth it! There are things that kimchipapi absolutely nails - which is the reason for this high review. The korndogs were fresh, crispy, had the beautiful cheese pull, and just enough of the sweet-salty balance. The bibim noodles had many large pieces of raw salmon, a really nice bit of kimchi, and an addicting tangy spicy sauce. I will be back for the korndogs and the bibim noodles. However, I would not get the ddukbokki - it was too watery and not really flavorful. read more

I've been to Kimchipappi once before Covid and remembered liking it, so we took a chance and grabbed takeout here. The portion size feels a lot smaller than I remember and for $13, I wish we'd gone somewhere else. The bowl was half rice and a moderate amount veggies and a small amount of salmon/tuna. I will say the ingredients were all fresh and I get that small restaurants are struggling right now, but I don't think I'll be back anytime soon. If you take a look at the picture I posted - some of the pink you're seeing is not fish but ginger. There wasn't a lot of fish in this. read more

We ordered the potato dog with just cheese and the regular dog with cheese half/half. The flavoring was pretty good, however, the batter was a bit too thick for me. The regular dog was pretty good overall/ the cheese pill was really nice and it was crispy. The potato dog was slightly disappointing--instead of the typical potato cubes you find on potato dogs this felt like stale fries stuck on very, very thick batter kind of making it feel like we were biting into thick bland bread. For some reason the cheese pull also wasn't as nice as the cheese dispersed inside into a thin coat around the inner tube. I've had their mochi donuts though and they're great! read more
Incredible, delicious little place tucked inside Allston. Whenever I travel to Boston for a concert (in the before-times), I always made sure to stop by here for a quick bite. Everything I've eaten here quite honestly amazing - the extensive of uploaded pictures will have your mouth watering. The crab salad fries are a must-try. It's packed full of flavor and makes a great opener for what's to come. Their titular fried chicken is the star of the show. The breading isn't thick, it's tender and juicy, and their seasoning fantastic. Aside from the food, the interior is very clean, with lighthearted branding and a great neon sign. It's a little small, but you won't be waiting long to get your food. Definitely check this place out!! read more
PROS: - Ordered delivery. Came on time and the food was still fresh. Sushi rice wasn't soggy and the poke bowl was still a good temperature even though it was freezing outside - Very good sized portions SPECIFICS: - Kimchipapi Bowl = Lots of tuna & salmon and very fresh. Definitely worth the $14. You could tell the corn was actually cut from a cob. Lots of ingredients. Would order again. Only thing was that the sushi rice was a bit wetter than I preferred. read more
These corn dogs were delicious, super warm, oozy cheesy, crispy on the outside with their sugary coating, soft on the inside with melted cheese (you can also request them to put a hot dog inside but I def prefer cheese). However it's definitely a once in a while treat for me. read more
Korean and poke combined? What more could I ask for in life? I'm obsessed with this concept. They've taken poke and combined it with Korean flavors, throwing in banchan like kimchi and spicy pickled cucumber. Along with the many unique poke bowls they offer, they also have Korean fried chicken and Korean street food. I ordered a poke bowl and a corndog for delivery. Unfortunately it was delayed by quite a bit and came to me cold, but I still enjoyed it nonetheless. The corndog was crispy and the cheese was perfectly stretchy, topped with sugar and it came with packets of ketchup and mustard. The kimchimama bowl was spectacular. I loved the addition of the banchan and the gochujang sauce, topping the poke tuna, salmon, and crab salad. Definitely something that needs to be eaten fresh, so don't try and keep it for leftovers. It also came with a sticker and the bag had their logo on it. You gotta love the little details. Great place! I'll be coming here again! read more
Best Korean cheese corn dogs !!!! They're thick and warm and cheesy.... I love the sugar coat. So unique! It's definitely different from American corn dogs, but it's a unique and sweet experience. It's more of a donut, fluffy batter so it's kind of more of a dessert snack? Their poke bowls are good too. They're like a fusion/modernized type asian food. Definitely Instagram worthy. read more

When looking up Korean food in Boston, this caught my eye because of the mozzarella corn dogs. I had them in Korea and thought that these at Kimchipapi were better because of the effortless cheese pulls and layer of sugar at the bottom. I also ordered the ddeokbukki and ramyun while my friend got the poke bowl and fried chicken and everything was good (although the corn dogs were definitely the star of the show). The restaurant was a bit out of the way, but would definitely recommend for the corn dogs! read more
