Sometimes, a dish/meal hits the right spot, and this was the case with Bibim Box! An absolutely fantastic food truck. I ordered a Classic Bibimbap box (no modifications), The veggies were bright and flavorful. The mixed greens were at the peak of their freshness, the pickled carrots had great flavor, and I liked the textures offered by the sauteed spinach and bean sprouts. The rice was cooked perfectly, and the beef was delicious, also. The Gochujang sauce added a mild but perceptible level of heat and sweetness, only enhancing, not overwhelming or drenching. While I admit I would have liked just a bit more meat (when do I not? & this can be purchased for an extra fee), the dish was well-balanced overall. Really liked this place. We visited the MIT campus and were super hungry so we went into the campus cafeteria area and saw Bibim Box along with some other food options. We got the box with the spicy chicken and the fried egg, and the spicy pork. Both were really good and we'd get them again in a heartbeat. read more

I ordered a rice bowl with house special tofu, wasabi soy, and peach limeade when I saw them in front of the Science Center at Harvard during lunch. The wasabi soy dressing is exceptional! It is so delicious. They used the perfect amount of wasabi, sodium, and sweetness. It really elevated the salad and tofu. I'll be dreaming about the dressing for a while. For the tofu to be called "house special," I do wish there was more beyond the simplicity of it, though. The pickled carrots also added some freshness to the dish. I also really enjoyed my refreshing peach limeade and the fact that there was solid vegan and vegetarian options. Love this truck! It is Downtown at Milk and Kilby every Thursday and the price for the quantity of delicious, flavorful food is unreal! I got a Bulgogi Pork Noodle Salad ($7.99) with a side of Kimchi ($3). Foremost, noodle salad was amazing, meat well seasoned - forewarning: they put the gochujang sauce on the food for you so if you can't take heat or want to control the amount, ask for it on the side! Skip the Kimchi side. I was really excited because it was a legit full portion, container you can get from a grocery story (think cream cheese sized container), but it wasn't that good. Not sure if it's home made or actually is store bought. Kimchi aside, can't wait to try the Rice Bowl, the Sandwich, and the Bibimbap! I hope they get a website soon (currently only on Facebook but they keep it up to date) as my coworker and I would love for them to cater one of our company lunches in the future. read more

This truck was a pretty good find! It's a little bit of a walk from my office downtown but worth it. You really get so much food for the price point. I got the classic box with bulgogi pork and rice. Everything was delicious. My only complaint is that the rice oils have been a little softer and the egg was overcooked. However, will definitely come back! Great lunch find. read more

Huge portion but they really pack a lot of rice into it. And by the end I just had a ton of rice left. Only rice, veggie and a fired egg. I didn't have time to walk all the way back for a change and yet I decided I'll never go back ever :( The seemly small and accidental mistake made by whoever prepped the box is not okay at all, coz that means someone is gonna suffer from starvation over a busy & intense afternoon :( This is probably one of the worst lunch I've ever had :( read more

Seriously this truck is the best. You can get as creative as you want with your order, but the classic bibimbap is always a winner. If you want to control the spice/sauce level, just ask for sauce on the side. They are always happy to accommodate as well as explain their dishes! ProTips: The spicy chicken and spicy pork pairs really well with the creamy garlic(gf!) dressing. Their sesame peanut dressing is also really good, and for some reason, i find it works really well with their noodle dishes. The bulgogi chicken and bulgogi pork are sweet and savory. So i like to get the gochujang(spicy) sauce with that. Or the house vinegarette to add some tang. The rice bowls always come with a soy drizzle, unless specified otherwise. So just ask for a specific dressing when you order if you dont want soy sauce. (Ive also asked for a sauce after ive received my order, and they were more than happy to provide it) The meat is always pretty well seasoned (probably can stand on its own) so i usually like to get the dressings on the side, but then I kinda feel bad about creating more unnecessary landfill :-/.. lol.. ALSO their beverages are all soooooo goood. You wouldnt expect that, but trust me! Try one and thank me later. This truck just has that classic Korean warmth. Not just in their food, but also in their staff. You can tell that the owner couple really care. Even if you dont know anything about korea or korean food, your heart and belly is going to leave happy and satisfied. Oh and also, their portions are pretty big. Don't come here if you're looking for authentic bibimbap (source: I'm Korean). The gochujang sauce feels more like a chili oil than actual gochujang (which is chili paste). I assume they are trying to appeal to American taste, but the sauce just doesn't work for me. Also, the rice is dry, and the bowl lacks traditional bibimbap toppings such as mushroom and zucchini. The meat and sauce are also too salty. The noodle salad is decent, but also a little too salty. read more

I visited this truck for the first time today on Stuart St . It is a must-try if you work in and around Copley/Back Bay station. Classic bibimbap was on point but they also have salads, rice, and noodle bowls with vegetarian and vegan options. Fresh ingredients, tasty, and reasonably-priced for the area (most dishes are under $10). Service was quick and friendly. I will definitely be back. I am hoping this is a regular spot for them on Thursdays as I am already looking forward to next week's lunch (as I finish every last grain of rice from the box as I write this). read more

Solid lunch option with decent flavor and serving size, but just some thoughts on how it could have been so much better, coming from a Korean very familiar with the original Bibimbap. Rice had a lack of taste, was dry and overcooked. For bibimbap, rice is made with a different strand than this one, and made more moisture typically so it can be properly mixed and maintain the silky moist texture, instead of separating in your mouth so you just have dry undercooked rice left in your mouth towards the end. This strand works well with something like curry, because curry has all of that moisture and flavor already. Using ground beef to call it a special seasoned beef and charging extra for that - not a fan. I really expected the boolgogi to be there instead. Would have rather had different meat options if I knew it was cheap ground meat. The pre-cooked and going soggy fried egg that also had no seasoning felt like a minus to me. Otherwise, the vegis were all there, had the sauce had good modified flavor for the general audience, etc.! Hope some improvements are coming, really felt like it was so close to being that perfect place to always want to go to! read more

The kimchi was an extra charge which is sad since that's the cornerstone of Korean food, but it was worth it. Bulgogi had perfect balance in flavor as well.
