Not sure what happened to this place but previously it went by Fiya Chicken and then they did a collab and it seems the two may have merged their menu items because they are now Fiya Hen. I hadn't tried it before but I wanted to try another ginger rice dish after a very wonderful experience in Cambridge at Chicken and Co. I got the original, which is boneless chicken with ginger rice and a side of sauce and radish soup. The chicken doesn't really have much flavor but you've got to mix it with the sauce and the ginger rice! So yummy my gooood. It does have some tiny jalapenos in the sauce so be careful my friends. I wish it came with more ginger rice but overall it was filling. The raspberry lemonade was also extremely refreshing and flavorful with a bunch of fruit infused in the clear can. Came across this restaurant while walking from Paradise before a concert and stumbled into this gem. We knew by the wall art that we found a cool spot. We ordered several mixed drinks and were not disappointed. They were strong but expertly balanced. My friend commented that his Margherita was the best cocktail he's had in years. Came here one weekday evening after seeing an Instagram ad about a collab between Hen Chicken Rice and Fiya. Staff is nice and friendly and the interior is pretty clean. Store filled up soon after we entered. I parked down the street but parking generally can be tough so take the T in if you're able. We sat down and placed our order via our phones. They were kind enough to give us daikon soup on the house as we awaited our order. Can't say too much about it though as I'm not a fan of daikon. My brother ordered a corn dog and we each ordered the crispy boneless chicken. The meal itself is pretty simple with just protein, grain, and a few slices of cucumber but it's filling. I love the sweet chili sauce it comes with and I'm very happy with the crispiness of the chicken. My only complaint is with the garlic rice -- grains felt a bit more stuck together than I would've liked and I'm not sure the taste was quite there. There was this little spot back in California that I religiously visited several times a month just for their Korean fried whole spring chicken... and I've been seeking a replacement since moving here. I was walking towards my current favorite restaurant in Boston when I noticed this spot and decided to give it a try. Since Bon Chon in Allston went downhill bad, I was looking for a good fried chicken spot. Fiya fit the bill and I decided to take out some Korean fried tenders. First off, the tenders are massive. You get alot of chicken for your buck. Plus they throw in pickled radish. I tried the spicy sauce, the soy garlic and the Fiya sauce. The spicy and soy garlic were awesome. The strawberry and mango lemonades alone would've made the trip to Boston worth it but the chicken was next level. Fiya Chicken is delicious! The restaurant serves Korean street food, ie; Korean fried chicken and Korean corn dogs. The restaurant is located on 1024 Commonwealth Ave. For those familiar with the area, it is located across the street from Victoria Seafood. There is metered parking on both side of Commonwealth Ave, however, parking is very scarce as it is located on the Boston University stretch with many surrounding restaurants. It is T accessible if driving and finding parking is not your talent. When you enter the restaurant, on your right there are three table seating for dine-in patrons that seats about 4 per table. There is red neon lighting on the wall that reads "Tasty Noodz" which cast a pinkish glow (for those trying to get good lighting for their food pics!). There are stool seatings along the left side of the restaurant and the left side wall has a manga action novel theme going. There are additional bar stool seating and a booth seating area at the back of the restaurant. I came here with my family on a weekday night and the restaurant was at half capacity with a good amount of people waiting for their pick-up orders. There were some dine in patrons as well. You can order at the counter and if dining in, there are QR dining menus at each table which made for easy table ordering. For Korean fried chicken, I ordered the Fiya flavor and the soy garlic flavor. The Fiya was my favorite. It had a nice spicy kick while the soy garlic is a staple. I would rate Fiya in my top three restaurants for Korean fried chicken. It was that good! The batter on the chicken was just right and crispy and coated in delicious sauce. The chicken was juicy and good quality. I would put Fiya above competing Korean fried chicken places in the area such as Bonchon any day. The wait was only about 20 minutes or less which was not bad at all. This was my first time trying Korean corn dogs so I have nothing to compare it to. For my corn dog order, I ordered a regular corn dog, the ramen, and the potato. I had one made with half mozzarella and half dog. Most would say the potato batter is the way to go, but I prefer the regular batter. The ramen corn dog was my least favorite. It was kind of gimmicky and not that great. If you had to choose, I think go with the half mozzarella and half dog and do either the regular batter or the potato batter. Korean corn dogs, in my opinion, is a cross between a dessert and a hotdog on a stick. This is because the batter is coated in sugar so it is a tad sweet. The mozzarella cheese was as expected. I wish the hotdog itself was better quality. I am glad I tried Korean corn dog but I am not sure if I would order it again. I also ordered a fried chicken sandwich combo with Nori fries. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy and delicious. I picked the honey mustard dressing but wished I went with something else. The Nori fries were tasty and crispy. I also tried the in house made Mango lemonade. That was also delicious. Overall, Fiya is a solid 4 in terms of food and service. When you enter there's no need to go to the register, you can just scan the QR code and place your order. So here is something crazy about this Fiya. Anyone that's lived in Boston would know and appreciate how difficult and expensive it is to get a liquor license. And Fiya .. has a bar. You have to order food & drinks through their app, which is fine - but there is no liquor/beer options, so you need to flag down a staff member. There is no advertising saying that is *has* a bar. So my wife and I were the only people sitting there on a Friday night (to be fair, we came in for a sandwich). We sipped on some bourbon, which is fine. There's not a lot of bars on that stretch. Sunset Cantina (meh) , Taco Bell Cantina (eh..) and... Dug Out (a great dive). And the Paradise bar which is only open during shows. And that's it. Fiya has a real opportunity here to establish itself. Unfortunately, the food was inconsistent. My chicken sandwich was way overcooked and dry. My wife's sandwich was pretty good though. The vibe of the place is great & I appreciate that they kept the art from Love Art Sushi. I'm going to safely assume they *just* got their liquor license and have no idea what to do yet. If they hire someone to create a decent cocktail program and tighten up the food, this place could be a real winner. Especially for a spot to go before Paradise shows. The Fiya Chicken Signature Seasoning is pretty spicy, so unless you have a good spice tolerance just a fair warning. The truffle fries were thick cut, crispy, and fluffy within. I was craving some Korean wings and wanted to try a new place. I'm from NYC and generally have never been a fan of the Bon Chon chain - I would much prefer a local Korean bar or KTV lounge for the wings and bar food. I feel like anytime I've tried the chain, it's soggy and not very flavorful. Fiya did not disappoint. I had the wings in the spicy and soy garlic flavors and both were cooked well - crispy but also doused in the sauce. I would come back just for this wings alone. The Tteokkochi was pretty good. They tasted as I expected - crunchy, sweet, spicy. Perfect. Their Korean corn dogs were decent. I only tried the normal panko breaded ones. The breading was nice and crispy, and had a nice chewy texture. I liked it and will have to go back and try the other versions. I'm not a big fan of this type of dish anyway, so I'm probably the last person who should offer an opinion. I tried the Taiwanese Basil Fried Chicken and it wasn't too impressive. I'll add that I'm Taiwanese and have had this dish many times in my life, both in Taiwan and just home made by Taiwanese family and friends. I might be a bit of a snob about this dish; but in my defense it's really not hard to make. This one tasted a bit dry and under-seasoned. I wouldn't get it again (but, this is a Korean restaurant so I don't hold it against them). My only issue was that the ambiance felt really awkward. I'm not sure how to describe it. We were seated and asked to place our order online via a QR code. At two points, we needed to get someone's attention (for a wrong order, which they were very nice about) but there was no one on the floor for a long time. After my initial review, Fiya reached out to me through IG and offered to make up the corn dog to me without the intention/pressure/mentioning of me updating this review. This time around the corn dog cooked to perfection, bulked up, had plenty of ramen bits for that extra crunch, AND there was a pretty unreal cheese pull (which I failed to capture having been by myself this time - regardless, I felt like was worth mentioning). While the inconsistency was worth mentioning from last time, their service and staff are super nice and the corn dog was worth the trip I took into the city for it. That all being said, I still think that I would go for their fried chicken sandwich/rice dishes and fries over the corn dogs, but it's nice to know I can stop by here for a good corn dog if I was feeling it. read more

While the person who took my order was super nice and the chicken was freshly fried, those two things are the only redeeming qualities. I will not be back, unfortunately. I ordered the ten piece wings and was so disappointed to see that every single piece was a drumette, the less superior part of the wing. I get that wings usually come with the drum and the "flat" but not a single flat was in this order. Secondly, the batter on the chicken was just too thick for my liking. I like crunch but the batter itself was extremely salty, just salt and no other flavor. The wings look big but that's because the batter is literally half of the wing. If I were to rip off the batter, it would probably weigh more than the meat. I got the spicy garlic and the fiya sauces... they weren't terrible but they also weren't very enjoyable. With a 25 min wait on the wings after ordering, I had high expectations but this one let me down a lot. read more

I do not like writing bad reviews and I rarely do. But these wings were terrible. There is literally so much breading that a wing is about the size of a tennis ball. I like greasy food (why would i order fried chicken) but this was next level: mouth full of grease. WIth so much breading - no wonder the chicken meat was barely cooked. Good thing I ordered Kimchi and rice so I had something to eat. Rice: fine. Kimchi: barely any flavor and $5 for 3 ounces of Kimchi? Your kimchi ain't that good. Rip-off. Avoid! I wasn't too impressed with the chicken unfortunately after looking forward to how great they looked. Everything up until I started eating the chicken wings had been great. It was very easy to order online and when I arrived I had to just wait a few minutes for my order to finish up but definitely was a very short wait. The chicken looked great and I definitely like the cardboard box they had to reduce the plastic waste. However once I tried out the wings it seems they must have glazed extra sauce on or the sauce is just too salty overall. And it was random too, a few wings here and there tasted great but others just tasted like a bucket of salt crispy skins. The sauce aside the wings were fried very well and the meat is actually quite juicy and not dry like bad fried chickens. But for the price of these wings the sauce is just inexcusable in my opinion, sure they look great on the outside but if only they tasted as good as they looked then its definitely deserve a much higher rating. I'm hoping that this is just a one-off mistake but I'd would have some reservations to try out Fiya Chicken again given how disappointing this experience was. read more

I'm very conflicted about this place. The first time we had a great experience. The second time we went, not so much. The spicy garlic wings were drenched in sauce- not only did this look unappetizing but the sauce was very sweet and not spicy at all. It also made the wings soggy which is not what you think about when you think of double fried Korean fried chicken. Very disappointing and I'm still on the search for good Korean fried chicken since Bonchon quality has also plummeted. I do recommend the Korean corn dogs here! read more

Order online... 10 soy garlic wings and 10 spicy garlic wings for $28... huge, crispy, and juicy but disappointed that the wings are not fully cooked. I had to heat up again. I would still order from them again if I am around the area. read more
