I recently stopped by Coreanos for a Korean-Mexican fusion meal. I ordered the bulgogi, shrimp tempura, and short rib tacos. While waiting, I was surprised with a bowl of miso soup, which was warm, comforting, and flavorful. The tacos were generously filled and served on flour tortillas. I went in expecting the short rib to be my favorite, but the bulgogi taco emerged as my favorite. That said, because they were so well-stuffed, the tacos were a bit soggy. I also paid extra to add kimchi to one of them via the ordering screen, but it seems that addition was missed. I paired this with a Thai coffee, which was refreshing and delivered a noticeable caffeine kick. I'll definitely be back to try the kimbap. My partner, Anna F., ordered it, and after stealing a bite, I was left craving more. The restaurant is small, but we were able to find a table without issue.

The quesadilla was light on cheese but as that is not a usual ingredient in Asian food, it was probably better that way. The poppers were super crispy with a variety of sauces that complemented each other. The coreanos bowl with short rib was tender and flavorful and the sauces added a nice creaminess to the bowl. I will definitely be returning!
Came here for a quick dinner. I got the coreanos bowl with chicken. The staff was very friendly and the food came out very quick. The place has cozy vibes and was able to find seating. The bowl tasted amazing. It was very saucy and creamy blending the 2 cuisines together. I do wish it had a little bit more spicy but overall the flavor was still pretty good.
Solid Korean lunch spot with some Mexican fusion in their quesadilla and taco menu items. Fun mix of cuisines in my opinion. It's a fast casual spot with quick service. Seating is somewhat limited with a few high top tables but we still managed to get a spot even around lunchtime. We ordered the Tteokbokki with ramen noodles as well as the shrimp fried rice. I thought both were good but not best I've ever had. The tteokbokki was pretty sweet for my taste but that's just personal preference. Centrally located in Allston!

Just tried their K-Rice Bowl with Fried Eggs and a box of their signature Korean Fried Chicken, and I'm genuinely impressed. The rice bowl was rich, savory, and beautifully balanced--topped with perfectly cooked sunny-side-up eggs and a drizzle of creamy, mildly spicy sauce that brought everything together. Comfort food at its best. The fried chicken? Unreal. Extra crispy on the outside, juicy inside, with a sticky-sweet glaze and fresh green onions adding that perfect Korean touch. Flavor-packed and addictive. Fast service, generous portions, and flavors that hit all the right notes. If you're craving Korean fusion done right, Coreano is a must.

It also came with miso soup with a few bits of tofu and green onion in it. - Quesadilla: filled with beef and kimchi, with two different sauces drizzled all over (one creamy, one a little spicy). A lot of meat inside! Not too spicy. - Peach limeade: a very refreshing drink, but on the sweeter side, I wish it were a bit more sour. Overall: This felt like the ideal casual lunch: fast and filling. You order at a counter and they bring the food to you later, if you choose to dine in. There aren't too many seats. You need to fill your own water cup, and they have cold and warm water. The portions are generous and the food is pure comfort. Would definitely come back anytime I'm craving something saucy and satisfying.

I'm surprised by the great reviews on here because my wife and I were very disappointed. We got the kimchi quesadilla with spicy pork and the Coreanos bowl with beef bulgogi. Both were lacking in flavor. The pork in the quesadilla was dry and not even spicy. The beef in the bowl was sparse and mostly just sweet. I hesitate to try this place again. I think you could say this review warrants a 2.5 because it's below average, but I'm a softy and I tend to only eat at good restaurants, so they get a 3.
Coreanos is yummy! Definitely gotten better over the years, in my opinion. I love getting the chicken poppers with either rice or fries & the kimchi fried rice with bulgogi. Great place to come to get take out; the food is always piping hot and has great flavor.
We just happened to walk by and decided to try it out. We were vey impressed with the food! We ordered the Coreanos Bowl, fried chicken wings in sweet soy garlic sauce, and Bulgogi Kimbap. All excellent and very fresh. The sitting area was simple but clean. Service was nice. Will definitely come back again.

We ordered the pork katsu gimbap and the Coreanos Bowl--both had a little kick but nothing overpowering or lingering. The Coreanos Bowl is especially generous in size and super filling. The gimbap is a new item and I'm obsessed with it. Overall, the food was fantastic and definitely worth recommending! read more
Great hole in the wall fast casual Korean spot. Got the kimbap and really enjoyed. The bulgogi was a little dry but had a good flavor. The pork katsu was great. Loved the sauce that came on it too. The pork was crispy and fresh. 12.95$ each. Perfect meal if you want something light with veggies and protein but also filling. Employees were really friendly here. read more
unfortunately, this place has gone down hill. the chicken was soggy- but had none of the sauce i ordered so i'm not sure how that happened. the kimchi fried rice add bulgogi was ok, wish it had more flavor. i feel like they got popular & the quality dropped like crazy. read more

I used to go here years ago for their bulgogi tacos, quesadilla, and kimchi fries and have never been able to find the time to go. I went the other day to get kimchi fries before work and I am so glad I did! It's a tiny spot for mostly takeout and I ordered kimchi fries with bulgogi. When I went to pickup my food they told me they accidentally made it with spicy pork so I could either keep the pork or they would remake it. They were very nice about it but I was fine with spicy pork and they ended up giving me both spicy pork and beef. I don't know why I haven't gotten these more these past few years because they are still as amazing as they were years ago. Hot fries with kimchi, bulgogi, different sauces and a runny egg on top. One of the best meals and it was $13! read more

Came here for lunch on a Saturday a little before 1pm and were able to snag one of the tables for the two of us. We split the Coreanos Bowl and Chicken Poppers, both of which were super flavorful and saucy. We ended up not being able to finish them, and happily took them home as leftovers. The food came out quickly and fulfilled my craving for something crispy with a lot of umami flavor. Would definitely come back for an easy, quick meal. read more

Ordered takeout everything was ready on time. The online ordering doesn't allow ordering for the next day but if you put in the notes you can have them schedule for a later day. The sweet garlic chicken tenders were very tasty and tons of white chicken meat. The breading wasn't as crispy as some fried chicken but that could have been from the takeout box. We also got the beef bulgogi platter and the meat was ok, but the sauce was flavorful. The veggie dumplings had a nice crisp and were a good appetizer. Everything is fairly priced and a good deal for takeout. read more

I LOVE Coreanos!! Coreanos is a small Mexican & Korean fusion place that definitely is more suited for takeout, but there are a few tables inside to dine-in. I wouldn't recommend coming with a big group with the expectations to dine in, but the place is cozy with good vibes (they were playing a Giveon playlist last time I was there, so you already know the vibes are chill). When I'm here, I usually get their Chicken Poppers, Kimchi Fritas, or Coreanos Bowl with Bulgogi Beef. They're all super delicious with great flavors with their homemade sauces drizzled on top of the dish. The Kimchi Fritas is a must-have though, it comes with an egg, kimchi, and super yummy sauces. I added bulgogi to the Kimchi Fritas and it was amazing. The bulgogi is marinated well but not too salty that it overpowers the other components of the dish. This applies to the Coreanos Bowl as well -- the beef was absolutely delicious and the dish itself came with yummy sauces that paired well with the rice and meat. The Chicken Poppers are always super crispy and never disappoint; one of my favorite dishes here. Also, something I love is that all of their rice bowls came with a side of miso soup!! Their miso soup isn't the best since it's a bit bland and lacks seaweed and tofu, but it's a nice touch to have with the rice. Everything here is truly phenomenal and incredibly tasty; I've tried most of their menu and haven't been disappointed with anything. Prices are really reasonable for the area, parking is relatively easy to find (there is a public parking lot behind the liquor store nearby and lots of street parking) and service is friendly yet quick. Overall, Coreanos is one of my favorite places in Allston and I can't wait to try everything on their menu :) read more
I love love this mexican-korean fusion. My go to favorite dish is the bulgogi coreanos bowl with the egg cooked fully. I also like the chicken platter, they are all so very delicious . Its always so busy here too! But the staff is super friendly. A little wait time maybe 15 minutes if you order during dinner time. read more

Got takeout here on a Wednesday night. I ordered ahead and the pick up process was seamless - really efficient and the food was done on time! I love their pa dak fried chicken the most - that and the quesadilla were the reasons why I love coming back. Coreanos does very well with portion sizes and aesthetic for the most part as the quesadilla was visually appealing and the chicken was a large amount of food for its price. The only thing lacking was definitely the tteokbokki - there weren't many rice cakes and it was mostly just onion. It was definitely the most underwhelming of the three dishes we had to share and I was a little disappointed overall. In the end, I'd recommend their chicken and even their fried rice as I've had it before and it tastes delicious. Their quesadilla wasn't bad either too, it's just the tteokbokki that I felt could've been a lot better. read more

Picked up a Coreanos bowl for takeout so I can't speak on anything but the food. I got the Coreanos bowl with galbi which tasted great overall, but it tasted more like bulgogi than galbi. The miso soup also tasted burnt. Aside from those qualms, I appreciated the portion size of the bowl which lasted me 3 meals. I would get it again but with bulgogi because I don't think it's worth paying extra for galbi. read more
I haven't had Coreanos in 2 yrs, and it's been 2 yrs too long -- but I'm so glad nothing has changed about their food. The bulgogi and spicy pork tacos here are amazing -- but even more amazing: the fried chicken! You've never had crunchy fried chicken done right til you've experienced theirs. And to top it off, the cute Korean woman at checkout reminds me of everyone's sweet mom making sure you had a good meal for the day (aka just the right amount of fried chicken ;P). I really enjoyed this restaurant's food. I ordered the Coreanos rice bowl with Kalbi, and Pork katsu kimbap. The Coreanos Bowl was nice. Some meat in every bite. The dish had a very consistent mixed flavor in a rice casserole type of way. I personally love that. EGGS : The egg came sunny side up with a runny yolk. I'm sure if you want it well done they'd be willing to do that for you. The Potk Katsu Kimbap was really nice too. However, I don't have that much experience eating Kimbap. But this one would be best described as a Pork Katsu sushi roll. Kind of like a shrimp tempura sushi role but with Pork Katsu instead. I like Pork Katsu at Japanese restaurants and so I enjoyed it too. KIMCHI : they sell their own kimchi to take home in one size only, 32oz-- the sign said this is CASH ONLY CASH DISCOUNT : they accept cards/Apple Pay but they also do give a 10% discount if you pay cash Would come here again! read more

Saw this way on TikTok and wanted to give it a try. Service was great and our food came out really quickly. The restaurant itself was smaller, but it was slow so it worked. Serving size is good and we couldn't finish our food. I liked the Kimbap but the chicken was surprisingly not my favorite. We tried to yang Yum sauce, which tasted OK but not as expected. The restaurant itself had a nice atmosphere and everything was very calm. Overall, it was a good experience, but the food was not what I expected to be. I would visit again to try at least one or two more items before taking it off my list. read more

Stopped by on a Sunday evening per a friend's recommendation - it's a small, hole-in-the-wall-esque place (not the most seating available), so we were lucky to find a table for the four of us when we arrived around 6pm. We ordered at the front counter, and our food was brought to our table shortly after - despite the large number of takeaway/delivery orders that they were handling, we really didn't wait that long. For my meal I ordered kimchi fried rice with kalbi short rib - absolutely delicious. The kimchi was tasty, the beef was juicy and flavourful, and everything complemented each other so well, from the rice, lettuce/onions/scallions, and the meat itself. A little pricier than I had expected, but not by much - and definitely worth it for the portion size, which was more than enough to feel extremely full at the end of the meal. Only nitpick I'd have is that I would have loved more spiciness! Definitely much milder than I expected a Korean (well, Korean fusion) place. I also tried a few bites of my friends' dishes - I really loved the sauces on the Coreanos bowl (some mayonnaise-like sauce with a mix of spicy and savoury), so I might try that the next time I'm here. [Also, each of our bowls came with a small bowl of miso soup which was a bit bland and quite salty.] Overall, great atmosphere with excellent food at a reasonable price, and a really appealing menu that I'd love to eat my way through (especially all the creative fusion options ) - I hope to be back very soon! read more
We almost didn't make it here but that's another story. But I am really glad we came here for dinner because it was the best meal so far during our stay in Boston. I am normally not a big fan of Korean or Mexican food but somehow the fusion of the two styles of food was unique and delicious. We ordered the Bulgogi Taco, Kimchi Fries with Bulgogi, Tteokbokki with Ramen, Coreanos Bowl with Bulgogi, and a small order of Korean Fried Chicken with the sweet garlic soy sauce. Everything was excellent. Not only was the food super tasty but the texture and quality of the food was very good. I have had a good amount of Korean Fried Chicken from different restaurants and either they are too sweet or the texture wasn't right. This place got both the taste and crispiness perfect. The sauce blend in the Coreanos Bowl was very good with just a little spiciness. The Tteokbokki and Kimchi Fries were more spicy. We have nothing negative to say about any of the dishes. Also, the prices are reasonable and server was friendly and helpful. The indoor seating is a limited. read more

Fusion spot in Allston serving good eats. We tried their garlic soy fried chicken, coreanos bowl with bulgogi, and chicken poppers (fried chicken on bed of fries). There's only about 3 tables in there. We went on a Friday night around 7pm and didn't have an issue getting a table. They do have a 30 min time limit for the seating. My favorites were the fried chicken and chicken poppers. The coreanos bowl was good in flavor, but there's not a lot of bulgogi beef in there. I have ordered takeout from here and dine in is so much better. The chicken and fries are still crispy. The person taking our order was very nice read more

I really enjoyed my meal. I got the Tteokbokki and added ramen and the veg dumplings. It was so good, especially for my first time trying it. It's spicy but not too spicy at all. If you like Mexican food spicy you should be good. The seating area is small but it adds to the vibe. I also got the peach limeade and that was perfect with the meal. Very quick service. read more
