    Bibimbap with spicy pork
    Matthew D.

This place is fantastic! It's a small restaurant on a Main Street and counter service. However, the restaurant itself was accommodating and felt very clean and inviting. The menu was large and had some great dishes. I ended up ordering the mango milk tea and the spicy pork bibimbap. My food take a little longer than my partner's to come out which always leads to that awkward "should I start or not?" question. Thankfully it didn't take too much longer for my food to come out. The milk tea tasted great! Very refreshing and not overly sweet. I wish there a little bit more mango flavor but it was by no means bad. The real star of the show was the bibimbap. The portions were large and all of the food tasted fresh, very flavorful, and came out hot. Although the restaurant seemed unassuming this was probably one of my favorite bibimbaps I've ever had. The staff were also very nice and apologized for the wait. They come and collect your plates when finished. I highly recommend trying this place out if you're in the area even though parking can be a bit tricky!

First visit here, based on good reviews and close by. Easy free parking is a plus. Scan to order at the table is pretty cool, didn't mind it at all. I thought the spicy rice and veggie bowl looked good and tasty good, especially for the price. Clean bathrooms, looks to be kid-friendly with Boba drinks, which I cannot stand. Not a high-end restaurant, more like fast casual.

    Beef short rib soup

A hidden gem! We recently made a spontaneous trip to Sharon Korean Kitchen. It's clean and spacious inside. We ordered the spicy beef soup and beef short rib soup, and they both came out quickly. There were many pieces of short ribs in the galbitang and the yukejang was hearty as well. Good portions for reasonable prices. Whereas traditional Korean restaurants serve many different side dishes (banchan), this place has more of a casual, fast-food vibe and serves only kimchi as a side. Regardless, the servers were helpful and friendly. There's plenty of street parking nearby, and we will be back again!

On our post golf outing we found this Korean spot. They have a nice dining area, spacious and you can dine there. Order your food via counter or scan the QR code on the tables and they'll bring out your food when it's ready. I opted for the sweet and spicy chicken, reminds me of Chinese general gau but different spice. Good flavor, nice and hot, chicken was cooked perfectly moist. Has a nice crunchy chew. The sauce goes great with some rice, (doesn't come with it as it's technically and app). The lady got their spicy beef noodle and it had a great flavor profile, didn't taste spicy but tingles your tongue a bit. Bold flavor, spices and the lady enjoyed it. The beef is thin cut fatty beef. Enjoyed and would dine in again if in the area!

If you're looking for authentic Korean food, this is the place! I have been looking for authentic Korean food since I moved here in 2022, and the few places I tried weren't good enough for me to go back. This spot never popped up when I would search Korean restaurants, but I saw it when I was driving around the neighborhood and once I checked the menu, I knew I had to stop in. The place is amazing! I lived in Korea a few years, and it reminds me of Daegu. I had the pork bulgolgi and chicken japchae. The portion sizes are good and rhetorical food is great. Both dishes had tender meat and lots of veggies. The bulgolgi wasn't too spicy, but it was still flavorful. The service was good and the owner was kind. I've been twice now and I'll never back For sure. So happy I stumbled upon this place.

    Beef bone soup

The Spivey and sweet chicken is very tasty, the beef bone is very nice, the meat was very tender. Kids love it. We also ordered the rice cake, which is bit over flavor. The dinning environment is clean and quiet. The people working there were also very nice. The price is bit higher. It's hard to find a parking , btw. That's the downside. I had to park far away to get there. Over all , very good experience.

Sharon is a Korean spot with a confused identity. I can never tell if I'm supposed to be eating in there. Barely anyone seems to work there, I don't see many cues to its Korean-ness besides the items on the menu (which are all rather descriptions of the items themselves instead of the actual name of the food, ex. Tteokbokki is called "spicy rice cakes" (I don't like that, call it by its name!!)). Seats galore but always empty, yet still thriving apparently as doordashers run in and out. The food is actually very good, and it's one of the only Korean spots I trust now. The tteokbokki, chicken dishes, bibimbaps, japchae, dumplings, everything I've had is good and authentic. Food comes out quick and portions are great. Above all, the kimchi is really fantastic so order a side if you're into it. This will be my go-to Korean spot for years to come. Just a bit lonely-feeling and a tad disconnected from its identity as a Korean establishment.

Sharon Korean Kitchen has been popping up whenever I search for Korean food, so you know I had to swing by & give them a try! Very interesting, a Korean spot in West Roxbury. Upon entering, we noticed it was super clean inside and very modern. They've got a good amount of choices to pick from on their menu, I wouldn't say they offer traditional Korean food though. We ordered two items, sweet & spicy chicken & a spicy beef noodle that came with rice. Originally, we thought that they didn't do sit down but actually, they do! The sweet and spicy chicken is tasted very much like a General Gao chicken dish. It was good! The beef noodle soup was okay. Not what I was expecting. It didn't have much for noodle or meat. It did have a lot of green beans, which I didn't really care for to be honest. Love veggies, don't get me wrong, but I would've liked more meat or noodles. Overall, not a bad place just depends on what you're looking for. This is more like an Americanized Korean fusion place. The staff was really nice! I'd come back again for the chicken dish and probably skip on the beef soup. Parking: Lots of parking available on Centre St.

Food was delicious and the portion were huge! Definitely recommend if you are in the area. You can order at the counter or at the table. It was spacious and clean. Servers were speedy and nice. I want to go back!

The food was amazing - this place is truly authentic Korean food and just what we've been looking for. The service model is unique - you come in, sit down, and scan the QR at the table to order your food. It's great because you get to pay right away and the food comes out quickly, warm, and fresh. This fast-casual service model is great if you're introverted or just looking for a night out to dinner without talking to anyone you didn't come in with. And if you do want to socialize, their staff is super friendly and willing to do so. I recommend the lemonade with boba - it's so good and there are many flavors to choose from. The lemonade is sweet and the bobas explode into your mouth with flavor - my favorite is the mango lemonade with lychee boba. The lighting is very cute, there are warm lights around the kitchen and brighter lights by the seating area. I appreciate that this place has a picture menu by the kitchen (if you don't want to order from the QR code then you can order at the counter / with waiter). They also have pictures of their dishes hung up around the restaurant which shows they are confident in their dishes (and rightfully so). Portion sizes are large, we asked for to go boxes and packaged up our food for later. It's about ~$15 for a bibimbap, the spicy pork is amazing!

ANOTHER yum-azing meal experience!! From the super sweet Lina at the counter, to the server who brings out the SUPER FRESH MADE TO ORDER dish, I am thrilled again!!! Their attention to detail is so nice, that as I was fumbling with the chopstix, the server offered me a fork, which I sheepishly said yes to! Delish tea & an awesome carafe of ice water complete the experience!!

This is a hidden gem. I've lived around the area for years and I never knew about this place. Their food is great for if you have dietary restrictions.

Sundubu :) Silky Tofu Stew with Veggie and Pork & Passionfruit Green Team with Boba
    Kimberly Y.

It's hard to find good Korean restaurants outside of Allston, so I got VERY excited when I stumbled upon Sharon Korean Kitchen in West Roxbury this past week. It's a fast casual restaurant with very nice modern interior. I went for lunch on a weekday and it wasn't busy so it really felt like a hidden gem! The price point and quality of food was on point. I ordered the silky tofu stew with veggie and pork along with a passion fruit green tea, both of which I ate / drank in its entirety. I'm looking forward to going back and trying more items off the menu!

We found KChickin nearby on Peterborough Street and they're open until 9:30pm. We walked quickly over as hunger is a good motivator to walk fast. The restaurant has takeout but offered enough space to hold three famished Fenway newbies. Service was quickly and friendly and the food was served fairly quickly. Seems like most restaurants begin at the suggested 18% tip to start. Some calculate their tipping suggestions at your subtotal before adding the taxes to your bill. This restaurant included the taxes as part of its tip calculation so be aware that you're actually tipping more than 18%. FYI: as a customer, you decide how much to tip for quality service. Bringing your orders to your table is basic. How many times they filled your water cups and check up on you are important and expected. Tipping is not automatic in my humble opinion. Servers who work diligently for their tips so tip accordingly to those who provided a great dining experience.

KChickin is one of those places that earns its high rating without much argument. We walked into a…read morespace that buzzes even on weeknight evenings, with a menu spanning Korean fried chicken, sushi, hand rolls, and Japanese comfort food. That combination sounds like it could go sideways, but the kitchen handles the range with enough confidence that the whole thing works. The fried chicken is the anchor of the menu and the reason most people come back. We ordered the soy garlic wings, the most talked about item, and they justified the reputation. They came out freshly fried with a glaze that coated evenly and a crunch that held. The chili basil version is worth ordering alongside if you want some heat, and the classic crispy is the right call for anyone who wants to taste the chicken itself without much interference. The calamari is a strong starter, well fried and light enough that it did not weigh down the rest of the meal before it got going. On the Japanese side of the menu, the kaisen don stood out. The presentation was careful and the fish was fresh in a way that made it feel like a dish the kitchen takes seriously rather than an afterthought. The hand rolls are solid and satisfying, though they lean more reliable than revelatory, making them a good addition to a larger spread rather than the sole reason to visit. For a spot covering this much ground, the consistency impressed us most. People drive over an hour to eat here, and that says something. It earns the trip. We would come back for the soy garlic wings and a bowl of kimchi tofu soup, and we would bring friends who want both Korean fried chicken and fresh sushi under one roof.

While I appreciated small touches with being able to put your jackets in a plastic bag under your seat, everything else fell a bit short. The quality of the meats and produce was a bit disappointing. We ordered the cheese topokki (soft rice cake, fish cake, vegetable, & mozzarella in Korean spicy sauce) & the beef bulgogi bowl (fried marinated beef, vegetables, steamed rice & side of soup). The cheese topokki was just as good as we remembered - chewy, flavorful, comforting, & a little bit weird. The cheese was poorly distributed, but it was still very tasty. The beef bulgogi bowl was really underwhelming. Firstly, it was very little food. We were promised vegetables, but there were only a few scarce onions & zucchini pieces mixed in. It was also dry. It was devoid of moisture & sauce, so we added some from the fridge at home. The side of soup was a joke. It filled only about 2/3 of the container & looked so sad, we wondered if it was the sauce that we we so desperately needed. Nope, just a meager amount of watered down miso soup. So the conclusion - great topokki, sub-par bulgogi, non-existent soup.
