This place is such a great find. Finally a delicious and authentic Korean restaurant in town without having to drive to Allston/Brighton. The decor is modern, clean, and bright. The owner is super sweet. As a family, we've ordered the tofu stew and spicy beef soup and both were delicious. It's all about the broth and they nailed it!! Portions were big enough for a second meal had home. We will come here again and again! By the way, their boba tea is good for the area/location we are in. The best boba places are in Chinatown, Allston/Brighton, Cambridge area; however, this place is better than the ones in the West Roxbury area we've tried. Food is good but a bit pricey for what you get and quality of food. Service is great - the people who work there are incredibly nice. Chicken katsu curry is good, spicy kimchi soup is good and so is the short rib soup. I won't go far out of my way to eat here but will definitely not pass it up if I'm in the area. Been here a few times now, and it's been superb each time. The food is excellent, and super fresh. The service is prompt and very accommodating if I want things extra spicy...which I always do! Excellent japchae and bibimbap- fresh, flavorful, filling. The japchae was *almost* on the oily side but not quite, and really hit the spot. We also tried the fried chicken app, which was fried bite-sized pieces of meat in a tasty, sticky, sweet and spicy sauce (NOT typical Korean Fried Chicken, just FYI). It did feel like the batter overwhelmed the meat, which the menu touted as chicken breast- we kept asking ourselves whether they either forgot the meat, or if they accidentally swapped out squid or something because the little non-batter part we could see had a tough stringy texture. This is an authentic Korean restaurant in West Roxbury. You have the choice of getting food at the counter and bringing it to a table yourself, or just sit at a table and get full service from a waiter. The menu is not extremely large, but it offers most of the Korean dishes you would find at bigger Korean restaurants. Over several visits, I've tried the appetizer Jap Chae, sweet and sour chicken, and popcorn chicken. Both chicken dishes were delicious, and the portion sizes were huge. The Jap Chae was among the best I've had in the Boston area. For dinner we had several Bi Bim Baps, and they were both delicious, authentic and the portion sizes were very big. One of my party had the Spicy Pork with white rice. There was an option to pay an extra $6 to get extra pork. But we didn't select this option. When our meal arrived, the spicy pork portion was ginormous. We can only laugh at how much spicy pork they would have given us if we opted for the double size. All in all, this is a very enjoyable place to have an authentic Korean dinner. The seating and decor were pleasant. The food was very good and they give relatively huge portions, which is not typical of Korean cuisine in general. Prices were actually relatively moderate. Welcome to the neighborhood, Sharon Korean Kitchen. I'm happy to have a Korean food option so close to home, and I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu. Our family (two adults, 6, 3, and 1 year olds) shared veggie dumplings, kimchi fried rice, bulgogi bibimbap, tofu bibimbap, and japchae. The adults especially loved the kimchi fried rice. It had great flavor and a little heat, but not so much that the we wouldn't give it to the kids. The japchae noodles had a great bounciness and chewiness, and weather being take out surprisingly (to me) well. Both bibimbaps were fine, and I'd be okay ordering either again. Delivery was ordered for 430 and arrived at 410pm. I'd love to see a few more appetizer options like kimchijeon or pajeon. And I know my kids would be stoked if hottoek or kimbap were on the menu. read more

The kimchi stew was off the charts: spicy on a cold day, the kimchi is delicious, soupy but packed with tofu, a few noodles, and sliced pork. Had the japchae too--it was fine. It's been over a decade since I had that dish, so I suspect my tastes have changed. Steamed vegetable dumplings were super fresh, will try them fried next time. The chicken appetizer looks like it would be similar to Korean fried chicken, you know, since this place is Korean, but it in fact is much much closer to a standard general gau's chicken. This place is amazing! Japchae and spicy tofu soup with seafood were incredible. The seafood in the soup was plentiful including whole tiny open shelled clams and muscles. For appetizer, I highly recommend the rice cakes. They were delicious and came in a large portion. It was hard to stop eating them even when we are full. In the Boston area, we normally have to travel to Quincy to get Korean food this delicious. So happy that this is within a five minute drive from our house!! read more

We were so excited to try this place and it did not disappoint! 5 of us went and ate in. The inside is clean and bright. The food was delicious. We started with some steamed gyoza. We also ordered 2 chicken katsu. The curry sauce was fantastic. The ramen was spicy and hit the spot! We had two different types of udon. One spicy and one kimchi. We've been wanting to try this place and finally went for lunch today. As others have said, the staff are very friendly and the food is delicious and freshly made! I ordered the Sweet & Spicy Chicken, which is listed as a starter. It was quite good, but next time I will opt for one of the entrees instead. My husband had Bulgogi Bibimbap, which was filled with vegetables, hot, fresh and tasty. We ended up sharing our meals to give more variety to what we both were eating.
