We picked this spot on a whim since it was relatively close to our last activity. It was pretty empty inside, with no other folks dining in, and just a handful of customers picking up takeout. I knew that the wait for our food would be long (which was reinforced by the sign saying as much!), but the food was definitely well worth it.
Portions were extremely generous. I wasn't expecting that, so we had ordered the salmon rasta pasta and crispy chicken sandwich for our mains, plus plantains and mac n cheese as sides. I would recommend just getting the entrées in the future, as that was definitely more than enough food.
The salmon was EXCELLENT. I had no idea what to expect in terms of how it was cooked and served, but I was blown away by it. In addition, this was my first time having the rasta pasta, and it really surprised me by tasting so similar to Italian flavors.
The crispy chicken sandwich was also quite large and tasty, and the fries were fantastic. They were seasoned just the right amount of cajun and retained all of their crunch.
If I had known that the salmon rasta pasta came with a couple of fried plantains, I wouldn't have also ordered the side - in fact, I preferred the ones that came with the meal, which seemed to be different (perhaps fried a little more, and sweeter than the version in the side dish). The mac n cheese was the only thing that didn't stand out as great - it was very creamy, but a little too thick.
All of this food was for a very reasonable price. The staff were also extremely friendly. I will note that the music is quite loud, but enjoyable. I'd highly recommend it if you're ever in the area! read more
