I have been meaning to check out PLNT Burger in Brookline. I was excited to see a place that offers vegan options. It has the feel of the classic fast-food chains but everything here is plant-based. Of course there are many other places where you can get "high quality" plant-based food, but I think it's great that there is a place where plant-based options are there when considering fast food. I went in during the evening wanting to check out the desserts. I was craving a soft serve and figured they had a vegan one, and they do! I ordered at the kiosk and by the time I finished, my soft serve was ready within a minute - talk about some speedy service! The soft serve met expectations. They offered vanilla, chocolate, or swirl. I got the swirl and was happy that the soft serve was creamy (oat milk based) and held it's own on a summer evening. Would definitely go back for this and to try out more of the menu. I didn't really engage much with employees besides picking up the order since I ordered at the kiosk, but that makes sense for a spin on a "fast food" chain type place. The inside of the store is pretty retro, which I think is fun. Great location and super easy to drop in, pick up (or dine in) with some good food, and go about your day exploring Coolidge Corner.

I went here for a quick lunch on a weekday and it surprised me a lot. There wasn't really anyone at the front register when I got there, but luckily they had a kiosk for me to place my order. I ordered the Plnt burger as-is and it came out pretty quickly - probably in less than 5 minutes! I was expecting something more vegetable-y, but it had a bouncy and spongy texture which wasn't unpleasant. It tasted like mushroom, and when I looked up what the patty was made of, it was a lot of soy with mushroom concentrate, so that made a lot of sense. I have to say, it didn't feel incredibly healthy, but it was very very tasty. The burger sauce, the caramelized onions, and the veggies all melded together really well and it was delicious. It was about $9 after tax though, which did feel a bit pricey for a single burger, but it was actually very good. When I looked up the other Yelp reviews, I was also pleased to learn that the restaurant isn't just vegetarian as well - it's vegan!

Great spot. What a great spot! Food is spectacular service is great and the ambience is super cute. Think shake shack but in it for the environment and way happier (way better)... Milkshakes are oat milk based (hallelujah) and the fries are crinkly and delicious. The maple mustard is a wonder and the burger was great too. Will be back!

Items ordered: Plnt burger with gluten-free bun, large fries Value: Pricing is a bit high for fast casual. GF modification was really pricey. Service: wonderful! The Review: For transparency, I came to their opening event, so all the food was free. I had the classic burger, which was delicious. The food came out fast. The fries were wonderfully crispy. Best of all, the staff were very kind and accommodating, even bringing me a gluten-free (bun-free) hot dog to try! I liked the array of sauces to choose from. Nice fast food vibes but with a plant-based twist. Mostly everything is good, but I do have to say that the pricing to make the burger gluten-free could be considered discriminatory, at around $4. The alternative is going without a bun, in which case you're not recompensated for foregoing the bun... Seeing as they make veganism and vegetarianism accessible (financially too), they should make gluten-free equally so, since they already have the ingredients to do it.

A young man with black hair is seated at a table, holding a burger in his left hand and smiling at the camera. The background shows a door with a restroom sign.

I used to go at least once a week in between classes to get samosas from here. I'd definitely come back to try their other dishes like Chicken tikka masala and lamb curry. The staff is always so sweet and kind. One of the reason why I keep coming back, honestly!! Parking: honestly very tough to find parking in the Longwood Area. A couple of the major hospitals are right here, so it's mostly parking garages. The galleria does have its own plaza though too! If you're willing to walk 5 min, you may be able to find parking in Misson Hill area.

Was getting tired of the McD's and Subways so I finally gave Chutney's a go. So far I've had their Tikka Masala wrap and Chutney's chicken rice bowl. I like how you have the option of choosing how you want your meal to be- either in a rice bowl, a wrap, or in a nanini (panini-look a like). You also have the option of choosing chicken or lamb which is pretty fancy. Even though Chutney's is Indian food, it still has the fast food assembly line element. Once you choose your style of meat doused in curry, then you're prompted in choosing what vegetables you'd like sprinkled on there and what additional sauce you want. It's like the Subway of Indian food. Their chicken I've had so far is too dry for me, but I don't know if that's just how it's done with Indian curry (I rarely eat Indian food). The curry on the other hand is flavorful. Their rice is really fragrant and reminds me of Thai white rice. You really don't need to add any additional sauce when they prompt you to choose once because the flavoring from the curry itself is just fine. Drinks wise, I tried their home-made mango lassi and it's so good! Mango lassi is a mango-yogurt drink and I loved how you could really taste the mango and the thickness of it all. Chutney's is a little pricey in comparison to the other stalls. With a meal and a drink, it'll cost you an average of $7-9, but the meal itself is very filling and something refreshingly different when everything else is starting to get old.

Being in such a busy area means it can get really crowded, and parking around Fenway is famously tough, so planning for takeout or delivery through their app might save you some hassle. The core of the meal is the crispy chicken tenders or sliders with that signature spicy rub. It starts mild at the lower levels but has a significant ramp. Starting at "Medium" is where you really begin to feel the tingling burn, and it jumps dramatically from there to the "Extra Hot" and "Reaper" levels. The Dave's Sauce is the perfect creamy, cooling companion to cut through that heat The chicken can sometimes be on the drier side, though the generous sauce helps. The crinkle-cut fries are a solid side, and their thick milkshakes are a popular choice for putting out the fire if you overestimate your spice tolerance. It's a solid, no-frills spot for a crave-worthy spicy chicken fix. Just know your spice level, expect a crowd (especially around game time), and have a plan for parking.

I ordered a sandwich and a chicken tender and wish that I got two sliders, it was so good! The chips and pico de gallo also was $4.50 and the amount of chips was enough for an entire plate of nachos. I was definitely full after this. Chips and pico de gallo - pretty standard. The chips felt like chips from a bag instead of freshly made which would have put this over the top, but there were a LOT of chips. The pico de gallo could have been bigger for the price, but it was enough to eat maybe half of the chips and the rest I ate with the burrito. Grilled chicken burrito - I got this with pico de gallo, sweet peppers, Mexican rice, chimichurri sauce, cheese, lettuce, pinto beans, and marinated onions and the fillings were great. The chicken was moist and the flavors really melded together well, but the tortilla was a bit strange - it was pretty soggy, slimy, and a little bit gummy which was not like any tortilla I've had before in a burrito. However, it wasn't bad. It was a strange texture but it was flexible enough to hold the ingredients which were a bit wet as a whole, and it didn't rip, so I can't say too much bad about it. It didn't affect the test much but the texture was a little weird. Still, the sweet peppers were an awesome touch and there was a good ratio of meat to other ingredients. Is it the best burrito I've ever had? No. But getting full for $8.95 is pretty rare nowadays, so I'd definitely stop by here again.
