Tier 3 is one of two restaurants located within the New Jersey Performing Arts Center complex, not…read moreto be confused with the ground-floor restaurant, Tier 3 is found by entering the main doors of the Performing Arts Center, and, either taking the stairs to the third floor level, or, taking their elevator. We've dined here several times primarily due to convenience and to avoid the lack of street parking and questionable parking lots in the area. We always pre-purchase the NJPAC parking ticket when booking a show; this permits you to park in either the underground Military Park garage (across the street) or, the PAC lot adjacent to the Center, a better choice. Curiously, attendants at ground level always ask to see your tickets, even if dining upstairs at Tier 3. I've never asked if having show tickets was a prerequisite for entering Tier 3. (The "Greeters" also call upstairs to "announce" that your on your way.) The restaurant itself is quite dramatic, set within the curved sweep of architecture that the interior follows; glass and mirrors surround most of the tables; the setting reminds me of many airport restaurants we've spent some time in. Pros: Very convenient parking arrangements if seeing a show. A quick, safe, and easy walk up to the main doors of the NJPAC. We were always seated promptly. A server will take your drink order, soiled table settings are quickly removed, your tab is quickly presented to you when your ready to leave. There was never a line at the buffet nor at the coffee and desert table. In summary, a place to grab a hot meal without a long wait and still have time without rushing to your show since it's in the same building. Cons: Several of the (covered) buffet urns held a fair variety of freshly cooked entre's yet the food was not held at the proper (hot) temperature. Coffee and similar beverages were dispensed at the desert table. Yet again, their temperature was medium warm at best. Coffee cups and saucers had to be replenished when I approached the coffee table; although the manager was steps away, it was I that got his attention to re-supply the table with cups and saucers. Desert offerings consisted of miniature squares of "cake" and were not appealing. The price point for dinner is "expensive" and a poor value. The mixed salads are, by far, your best bet for quality; quite fresh and tasty and being cold and crisp was not a concern. Tier 3 Cafe is not our Go-To restaurant prior to seeing a show at NJPAC. Frankly, we now dine at a quaint Italian neighborhood bistro on Bloomfield Ave near 13th Street when going to the NJPAC. We park on the street across from the restaurant and enjoy good, home-made cooking at about half the price of Tier 3 Cafe and, we don't have to be announced to get a table, nor display any tickets.

Whenever I go to Whitehall, Mi to hunt, my friends only want 2 supremes from Ginas for my contribution to the meals. They eat two dinners throughout the week on just reheated pizza! They are all Flint raised and miss Ginas on the west side of the state. Don, the owner of Ginas, specially wraps each pizza so it can be reheated on a pot-belly stove. 35+ years of his great food and people still crave it. It is Flushing's best pizza. read more

You come here for 1 thing and 1 thing only, the ZA! Is it the best ZA you have ever had? No. You come here because they charge $7 for a whole pie, and most people can eat a whole pie themselves lol! I know I can usually do 6-7 slices. It is a tad bit soggy, but it is very very thin! It could do with a tad bit more cheese, but it's $6 don't complain lol! I will say that getting toppings is not worth it. If you add on extra cheese or pepperoni etc, it adds on $5, almost doubling the price!! Clearly not worth that personally. Pro tip, get it cut into 16, and you can eat each slice in 1 bite!!!! I love their crust!!!!!! I do not know why, but it is sooooo amazing!!!!! Fortunately, Genc's - one of our local go-to pizzeria spots - has one for him. Tonight we tried their GF pizza and they get two thumbs up from us. Tonight I called in the order for pick-up - two GF pizzas with green peppers and olives (one for each of us). The pizza comes in a foil dish (like a personal pie size) and with an individual pizza cutter, and is placed in a regular pizza box. The pizza is filling/hardy (crust has a good texture and flavor, and goes well with the sauce, cheese, and toppings). You can be full with one pizza (my partner normally can eat two pizzas, but was already tapping out after one of these). It was $15 for the pie and I'd say worth it. You're not still hungry afterwards. Note: GF crust is in no way same as or swappable dup for regular crust pie, but the GF one at Genc's can stand up to the regular crust pie in terms of delivering a tasty pizza pie.

We've tried the 'current' Peter's twice now and... it's not very good, sorry to say. The pizza - what you'd expect/receive from a bowling alley. The garlic knots - overcooked and they looked like they'd be bursting with flavor but were duds. The pizza sandwich - remember the scene in Ratatouille when the critic (Anton Ego) has that first bite of Remy's ratatouille and it brings him back to his youth and all those amazing memories? - that's how I get when it comes to a pizza sandwich. A 'regional delicacy' (popular in Kearny back in the day, I'm not even sure if you can find them in other towns/states) that I loved as a kid... Peter's was completely overpriced for the portion size but it was my favorite item of the three we tried. Very disappointing all around.
