Pho is excellent!! Anyone that says is watered down is wrong!! They are used to all that MSG !! Anyone sensitive to MSG like me,this is ur place they don't use it. Great Vietnamese food! So very pleased to find such a good place in the burbs! We are big fans of Vietnamese food and have had it all over the boston ares (and elsewhere!). This is so far our second favorite! We had the fresh rolls with grilled pork, very good! Wish they would serve the peanut sauce though. Also had the bun with grilled pork and shrimp and spring rolls. Very very good! Love the food! Will try their pho noodles whe the weather gets cooler. read more

Gigi's is awesome! The food is delicious and the service is great! It is a tiny place but the atmosphere is pleasant as well. The avocado spring rolls are delicious as is all of the food. The kabobs are yummy and the vegetables all very fresh. The drinks are good as well! Ihighly recommend Gigi's! read more

If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food, don't go there. If you only care about the restaurant environment, it's probably a place to go. Pho is so plain and no taste at all. read more

We just had a terrific dinner. Low key and delicious! I had the Vietnamese crepe and my husband had the spareribs. Pho soup and spring rolls for apps. Very reasonable prices. Met Gigi who was lovely and so was our server. Will most definitely come back. read more

After living in California for six years with an abundance of amazing phó places and then moving back out to Mass, finding a place out here for phó was a godsend. That being said, this restaurant is a very clean and beautiful looking restaurant. Every employee there is very personable, courteous, and tentative. As for the phó itself, it was very flavorful and the meat was really good quality. I got rare steak and brisket and some avacado spring rolls. The only reason I gave three out of five stars is because I am used to a lot more vegetables in my phó. I don't know if I just became spoiled from the area in which I lived in California (UTC in San Diego) but they had a lot more vegetables in there phó. Another thing is it took a very long time to actually get food out from when you order it. Besides that, This is a choice place to go for really great food. Just don't expect it to be really fast. read more

I have been wanting to try Gigi's but my husband was always reluctant, but he stopped for takeout and was completely converted. The restaurant is cute and cozy, Gigi is lovely and we loved the food which was fresh and delicious. Their spareribs are supposed to be amazing though we haven't gotten to them yet. Will definitely be going back. They now have a liquor license, so unfortunately no BYOB anymore. read more

I love this restaurant! Everyone I know loves this restaurant! I have become a regular, and at this point, I have tried more things on the menu than I have not tried. I have yet to be disappointed with any dish. The appetizer portion of the menu is not only fun, (many different styles of spring rolls for example), but also reasonably priced. It is a great way to start off the meal. The pho soups are incredible. The size of the soup is massive, but on a cooler night, there is absolutely nothing better than a hot bowl of pho. My wife got the chicken pho the other night, and it kicked a little cold she had :-). The bean sprouts and chili sauce are a great addition to the dishes, and I have found the kitchen to be very approachable and accommodating if one of us needs a bit more of anything. One time I used all my chili sauce and wanted a bit more, which my waitress brought right away. I have been ordering the vegetable stir fry noodles with tofu lately, as I have been trying to eat healthy. It is so tasty, clearly made with fresh ingredients. By the way, all of these options are reasonably priced. The kids meal is low priced, and my son loves the chicken fingers and fries. I believe there are two other options, but he has never strayed from his go-to option. This restaurant is always my choice when we are going out to eat. read more

This is by far my favorite restaurant. The food is always fresh and beautiful, minimal oil, select spices and complex, delicious flavor. I've tried many things on the menu and have really enjoyed everything. My favorite and go-to is the beef vermicelli bowl; it's just perfection. I also love the mango shrimp summer salad, the avocado spring rolls and the pineapple fried rice. Everything is handcrafted perfectly with fresh and delicious ingredients. Every bite is bursting with flavor. I order out regularly and have never been disappointed with the service. My order has always been prepared exactly how I requested (which is impressive). When I dine in, the atmosphere is cool and comfortable and the waitstaff, bartender and owners are always very friendly and helpful. You CANNOT go wrong with Gigi's. read more

Our first time ordering (takeout) from this restaurant. Ordered Pho and vemacelli beef and chicken. Everything was very fresh but it would be helpful to explain how to combine the ingredients since they came in seperate containers and needed to be combined to make the dishes. Also, which sauces went with which dishes. We were winging it and probably made some mistakes. read more

This is in response to the owner's excuses in reply to my critique: "Healthy" or "less fat" is NOT an excuse for Pho broth tasting like WATER, not beef. Pho is the true test of a good Vietnamese restaurant and this place FAILED badly. The crepe was garbage. I have had good Vietnamese food both in restaurants and home cooking by friends, so these excuses are pure BS. As for informing waitstaff that we were on "deadline", we were not really, just a normal weekday lunch hour that stretched to much longer to give time to eat after the food finally arrived. Never would have imagined beforehand that food would have taken such a long time when the restaurant was hardly full/busy, even if cooked in the order in which they came in. In most restaurants, Pho is on the table as fast as the waitstaff can walk into and out of the kitchen, and I have seen how long friends take to cook a crepe. Aweful. I had the meat trip PHO and the meat was probably grade x from the streets of maynard. The beef was all fat and the meatball, when I bit into it was cartilage and some sort of hard clear inedible flesh. Gross. read more

Excellent fresh Vietnamese food. We had the avacado spring rolls - delicious flavor in every bite. The po with flank and brisket was tasty. The restaraunt has just opened and is awaiting their liquor license so you can pick up a bottle of wine right next door. A great addition to the local restaurants. read more

We had a great dinner at Gigi's. The pineapple fried rice was excellent as were our appetizers rolls ( beef fresh roll and avocado roll). We had a crepe that was superb. We will order 2 crepes next time. Service was quick but not rushed and Mia was an excellent waitress. Decor and atmosphere are good and quiet place to enjoy talking while eating. read more

Attentive hostess and staff, clean and nicely decorated but best of all, delicious food!! We tried the spring rolls and coconut shrimp.. they were both outstanding.. homemade and super fresh.. a must try. Then my husband and I both went for the rare steak pho. The meat cooks nicely in the hot broth and was super tender. The flavors were on point and basically cured me of my stuffy nose.. It was delicious!!! It is currently BYOB until they receive their liquor license so our meal was super affordable at $27. Thank you Gigi's for a bringing a wonderful dining spot to Maynard. Going 4stars only because they had not received their liquor license. I think that's been resolved since I was there. Fantastic Fresh rolls, and fair prices, here. Healthy, good food. I hope people Sudbury, Concord, Acton and Stow don't turn their nose because it's not in their own town. BTW, parking is easy either at the mill across the street, if needed. We were the first ones there on a Friday night. Put in our order 5 minuted in and didn't get our appetizer until 30 minutes later even after telling our waiter we had somewhere to be. Appetizers should not take that long to come out. The staff ate mostly the ones from the previous restaurant, which is another reason for the bad experience. I was not a fan of the fact that the waiter kept telling us what each single item was. It's annoying. The food was also too salty once we actually got to eat it. I was really hoping this would be a good restaurant, but so far, it's typically Maynard. read more

I went there for dinner last night and I enjoyed half of the meal and not the rest. It's pretty disappointing as the atmosphere was great. The service is a little slow. The Vietnamese ice coffee was great and they used the traditional coffee filter device. The spring roll was really good and the dipping sauce was perfect. We ordered a grilled beef banh mi to share and that was very yummy. Since the first three things we ordered was so good, I was super disappointed about our pho and fried rice. There was no flavor in them and it was overall very bland. I love pho and that's not pho. read more

Excellent food, everything was very fresh and well seasoned. We enjoyed traditional spring rolls, beef meatball pho, basil fried rice and the lemongrass pork vermicelli. The lemongrass pork was our favorite but we enjoyed everything that we tried. We were here on Friday night and it was busy with a wait as you would expect on a Friday night at 7:30pm. The staff was very friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. We live in Maynard and are excited to have this new restaurant in our town. We will definitely be back. read more

Where did this place go? We we going there a couple of times a week. What a change over time....we noticed it was deteriorating but chalked it up to busy nights. Now it's slow service...and bad food.The other night one of us never got their food until the bill came and it was stone cold....when they opened it was great ...even the coffee was brought to the table in a press . Now it is hot coffee poured over a glass of ice cubes , the broth as grey as dishwater and tasteless. The waitress was unkempt and may not have spoken English but we barely saw her.I suspect as the bar business has grown the restaurant has suffered...too bad..another one bites the dust in Maynard... Went there for lunch with my wife for the first time. Nice ambiance. Excellent, friendly server. We ordered an appetizer of spring rolls with avocado. Excellent, including the delicious peanut dipping sauce. My wife's chicken with vermicelli noodles was very good. The only thing that was a little disappointing was my bahn mi with chicken sandwich. The baguette roll on which it was served was over toasted and the chicken tasted grizzly. Next time I will try the beef or pork version. Sweet potato fries were excellent. A very nice addition to the Maynard dining scene. Will definitely go again. read more

Delicious food! My husband and I went there for dinner. I had the lemongrass tofu vermicelli bowl, which was refreshingly fresh with a nice shredded salad, vermicelli noodles and beautifully flavored tofu. My husband tried their chicken pho and loved it. We also tried the Vietnamese iced coffee. The combination of strong, freshly brewed coffee (brewed on the table!) with condensed milk was great. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience at Gigi's restaurant and will definitely return for more of their fantastic food. read more

My colleague and i say the great review and decided we can't go wrong eating at Gigi's for lunch. The service is nice and all however, service was slow. The Pho taste very plain. The sauce that was given seems limited and no amount of sauces could cure the plain taste of the pho. I was going to recommend this to all my co workers but after experiencing the food, not so tasty. read more

My wife and I have been to GiGi's many times and the food has always been excellent. However, over the past 6 months the service has been HORRENDOUS! Anyone saying differently probably thinks the "old Halfway Cafe on Main St is awesome too. Ever since Christina, the bartender left, the place has gone down hill. She, like GiGi was very engaging and was a great conversationalist and very funny...(at least I thought so). The current bartender tries very hard but she is being pulled in too many directions and will disappear leaving you wondering where she went. The place is tightening it's belt as it is evident in the lack of help, the paper towel dispenser in the bathrooms dispensing a quarter of a sheet to dry your hands and even previously squeezed limes served with your Pho. The food we found to still be very good.....when you finally get it! I hate to say it and I hope I'm wrong but, I think the doors will be locked by fall. read more
