    Shades of Tomorrow stout

I usually don't think of "cozy" as a word I'd use to describe a brewing company's place, but it feels like a good word here. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and the owners are helpful and friendly. The layout easily accommodates larger groups. Their draft selection isn't necessarily huge, but they do have something for everyone. I enjoyed my Shades of Tomorrow stout, and item not currently listed on their website, and I also likewise enjoyed everything else I sampled here. If you're including Armory's Tomb in a crawl for the evening, visit here earlier, as they close at 9pm.

    Real beer...

Stopped in yesterday after we noticed that Saturday hours had been expanded (opening at 2PM). Despite the fact that I am not a "real" beer drinker I enjoyed the two (half pours) I tried. Prices were reasonable, and the owners are very knowledgeable about the nuances of each beer (as you would expect!) They were very friendly and eager to help explain which beers might be appealing to me ("less bitter" vs. "not hoppy".) Definitely will return, maybe with a sub or a pizza!

Love this place. The owners/ brewers are great, friendly and interactive. The vibe is great and their beer is better. Yes their taste in music is questionable at times, but that's OK. If you like exceptional local (made on site and in site) beer you must give them a try. Short sweet and to the point.

This tap room opened on/around Nov 20th. We came in with zero expectations and left thrilled. The beers are New England farmhouse style; the brewers have a Farmers Brewing license!! "The goal of this license is to promote the development and use of local ingredients by requiring the brewery itself to grow or buy a percentage of the ingredients used in the manufacturing or blending process from farms located within Massachusetts." We had the Kettle Hole Rustic Pale Ale & Single Hop Cashmere. Great depth of flavor and served at "right" temp. Wish these guys the best of luck, and much success!!

This little place is nice! The inside was closed so you go on this alley on the side of the building. It has picnic tables and they turned the electric heaters on. The vibe is good and the beer was really good. The pumpkin one was really great. You can order some food items , the pretzels looked delicious. Def recommend this brewery.

Their outdoor summer beer garden was very nice, and they adopted my earlier review as the theme of their anniversary celebration! If they keep this up, they might almost rise to the level of the best taproom in our area, Ground Effect Brewing in Hudson!

This is a great new brewery with good bartenders. The place had a nice new home Depot smell to it. I like the decor and benches for group seating. The group i was with enjoyed playing the multiple games provided by the bar.

Great Porter at Amory's Tomb Brewing!

Always a great day to stop into the Beer Garden and cannot wait for the new adjacent indoor facility to open.

Excellent saisons. They have several different bottles of saisons too, all of them have been fantastic.

Between my husband and myself we tried 5 different beers, a lot of farmhouse ales and all were excellent!

I had the single weirdest retail experience of my life at this place today…read more A brewery I like that doesn't often ship to Massachusetts announced a list of retailers who would be distributing their beers, Sudbury Wine and Spirits among them. Since they're a 15-minute drive from my house, I called when they opened to make sure they actually had it. No answer. Maybe their hours were affected by the coronavirus. Understandable, though there was nothing posted about a change in business hours on their website or Facebook page--and they proved to be unreachable on the phone, too. Finally, I decided to throw caution to the wind and head over there. When I arrived, the lights were on, the open sign was out, but the door was locked and there didn't appear to be anyone inside. I called again; no answer. I was about to drive away empty-handed when another guy pulled up, tried the door, and then knocked, and someone inside opened the door... Turns out it was another customer. The manager had gone into the back without realizing she was inside, still shopping, so we were all at a loss as to what to do. The other guy and I were there for this beer, so we headed to the back. It wasn't in the display case, but it was in the cooler behind it, so we each grabbed a four-pack--no one likes a hoarder these days--and headed to the front. Still no manager. He eventually emerges, but with no apology for keeping anyone waiting, and no explanation. He looked at the two of us with beer and said the limit was one CAN per customer, let us know how very difficult it would be to enter this new beer into their system and that it would take a long time to do that (he'd been open for over an hour at that point, and the beer had plainly not JUST gotten there), and then admonished us for going in the cooler. I've never heard of a liquor store that doesn't allow its customers into the cooler, and there were certainly no signs barring us from doing so. Perhaps if he'd been present in the store, he could have told us his rules? He also said he'd be calling his distributor and telling them to never distribute this beer through him again, since I guess he doesn't want business during a pandemic that's shuttering the economy? No problem--I won't be darkening his doorstep for any reason ever again. (Also, he could have sold out of the stuff faster if he'd allowed people to purchase four-packs...) The final straw was this: after ringing each of us up, he LICKED HIS FINGERS to open the paper bag he was putting our ONE CAN of beer into, and then grabbed the beer WITH THE SAME FINGERS to place it inside. I have seen so many businesses bend over backwards to be kind and thoughtful during this public health crisis. This was...not one of them.
