Stopped by a few weeks ago on our way home from a hiking trip to Wachusett Mountain. We had read reviews for several breweries in the area and were impressed by the positive comments so had to check it out - and we were not disappointed! We arrived late afternoon ready to be seated at one of their outdoor tables (on their website now it does look like they're doing indoor seating as well). We were pleasantly surprised that t here was plenty of socially distant space outside (in their parking lot) with seating to fit at least 30 people! They were quite busy, and we did have to wait a while (about 10 min) for someone to come over and seat us, but we understood that they only had a couple of people on staff for a very busy night. There is free parking available in the municipal lot a few feet down the street. Seven Saws has an impressive tap list spanning beers in a variety of styles, including unique ones that you definitely won't see at other breweries. We tried the Fire Road red rye and Black Hops X triple IPA. Both were smooth and easily drinkable (notably the black hops with ABV 10.5%), with the robust, mature flavor profile that marks and expert brewer. All 12oz pours were reasonably priced at $7, which is actually quite rare that heavier beers are not priced differently. A food truck was also present on site for snacks. Hands down the best part of Seven Saws is the staff that works there. One staff member who served our drinks stopped to tell us the history of the brewery, sharing that it was created by a group of friends who really loved to brew. The soul of the founders is clearly in the air and in the beer. Would definitely recommend stopping by Seven Saws if you're in the area. You're sure to find a style of beer you love and at a great price with great atmosphere.

Guyyyzzzz - YES! This is the perfect little local spot for a great brew if your a Holden-ite (or even if you're like me and makin' the trek). Met up with a friend of ours in my husband's hometown and were both so thrilled that this place was an option! Did you know that Holden was one of Massachusetts' ye olde tree-cuttin' towns? This cozy brewery is named for the 7 original sawmills dating back to the late 1700s, and man do I love it. It's a small place (only about 6 tables) but with loooadddssss of local flavor. The table tops are made from wide-cut lumber. The sample trays are cut in a saw shape. Several framed images detailing Holden's logging/sawmill past decorate the walls along with antique trinkets (even saws!). It's delightfully rustic and warm. Our visit was wonderful - listened to the football game over the radio (no TVs - thank goodness), didn't have to shout (sound-dampening panels are hung in the space), had some great pours (like Prescott/maple porter and Lookout Farm's habanero hard cider), and didn't even notice that there were children present (YES play room in the back!). 4 stars instead of 5 for the no-food-factor, though I'm relatively certain that if you wanted to pick up pizza next door they would be fine with it. We'll absolutely be back - see(saw) you around 7!

The best beer I've ever had. Both the large brewery and taphouse down the street had great vibes. Food trucks and live music were great at industrial. Definitely a local gem!

I just moved to the area from Hudson and needed to find my next "Medusa". I stumbled upon this spot on Yelp and decided this will be my new hangout. Seven Saws in a little hole in the wall spot that looks quite small from the outside. I can assure you this place has ample seating. There are maybe 7 or 8 tables that can easily seat 4 or more people. Unfortunately, only 3 people can sit at the actual bar. They had 12 beers on tap when I visited ranging from Reds to sours. They have a little something for everybody here. My husband and I tried about 6 full size pours together and we, of course, shared with each other for maximum sampling. I like the logging theme for the bar, however, there were NOT seven saws in the building (I counted 2). Ha! They really stick with the whole saw/logging theme through saws, rustic hardwood tables, and photos from the past of loggers. A great time was had, but there was a time where people were coming in through the back and the front which became a bit too crowded. I do like how they work with the space they've been given. My only complaint would be the amount of children in the bar at the given time. I'm all for it being a place you can bring your kids, however they kept running back and forth and beers could have easily been dropped when walking back from the bar to your table.

    Amazing beer!

Two locations. This review concerns the one at the industrial park. They brew wonderful ales and we look forward to returning.

Good stop for a few good beers. Nice people serving up the beer too. Normally I get the pursuit pale ale and it's very good.

The record reflects that this brewery has been open for only 3 weeks. We didn't have high expectations because new breweries pop up everywhere, but let the verdict show I rated 3 of 4 beers I sampled a 4+ on UnTapped. The two head brewers were working hard. They were friendly and eager to engage with the courtroom patrons. The Worcester Mayor was even spotted on site!l (busted!) We approached the bench (bar) and ordered a flight to sample their 4 beers. There are currently 3 IPAs and a red ale. I don't typically enjoy red ales, but "Strict Scrutiny" was actually the favorite! I don't have any objection at this time. The atmosphere is the opposite of the cold scary courtroom, no judge is demanding silence. Acoustics are a little echoey, but it's packed so that is a good thing. Please remain standing, I am still under oath. The courthouse theme is reflected on the wall "you've been served" as well as on the beer tanks which are named after female Supreme Court justices! Poll the jury, and don't let the free pretzels sway your decision. We will definitely be back if I make bail. I have no further questions. I rest my case.

Sterling Street Brewery is a craft brewery that opened in Clinton, Massachusetts in October 2020…read more It was founded by longtime friends Brian Mason and Jesse Tarbell. Friends since high school, Mason and Tarbell have shared a passion for quality craft beer for quite some time. After years of visiting various breweries with their families and friends, the partners began serious talks about opening their own brewery. Not only did they aspire to open a brewery that featured a variety of beer styles, but also a family friendly taproom. Mason has an extensive background in homebrewing, and both partners have a background in business. Clinton was ultimately chosen as the location for their brewery because it lacked a family friendly brewery. A second location opened at Pathway Devens (a biomanufacturing campus operated by King Street Properties) in May 2024. I recently visited Sterling Street Brewery's original Clinton location for the first time. It was also the first time that I was meeting up a with a large group of New England-based craft beer bloggers/enthusiasts who frequently have meet-ups at breweries. The taproom was decent-sized with maybe 10 large tables available for seating. There were an additional 20 or so tables outside, but it was still a little too cold outside to utilize those. I would imagine that the patio area is popular during the warmer months. After grabbing some food from a food truck, I headed to the bar. I ordered a taster flight that featured "Newfound Pale" (Citra Pale Ale), "Otherwise" (New England IPA), "Michael Diamond" (New England IPA), and "Midnight Marauder" (Stout). I enjoyed them all, but I was most impressed by the Pale Ale. I later enjoyed full pours of "Gingerbread Snuggles" (Winter Ale) and "Double Sabotage" (Double New England IPA). The beer was solid, the space was nice, and I had a blast meeting and socializing with so many other local craft beer enthusiasts. I give Sterling Street my seal of approval and I hope to check out their Devens location in the future!

While the tables can be somewhat communal, I chose to be a bit more antisocial and just share a table with my dog. It should be noted that winds in the area can knock down their umbrellas or take your food off the table so be careful. There was a food truck outside serving Mexican food that was pretty good but aggressively priced. It did go well with the IPAs. Overall, this is a fairly nice place to enjoy a lazy afternoon. I'd come back if I was in the area.
