I was very pleased with the burnt ends. The brisket wasn't bad either, but the burnt ends were better. I wouldn't give it a 4 stars for a few reasons. The meat was cooked very well with good tenderness. The flavor profile is the part I'm a little disappointed with...but it's hard to explain. When I go to BBQ joints I look for a uniqueness to separate them from the others. While BBQ sauce is great is what a lot of people point to, the meat flavor is just as important. The meat flavor was good but the quality of the meat and how it was cooked was better. I would've have liked to see a unique flavor profile that I could attribute to Gettin' Basted--as an establishment--to give it a higher rating. BBQ joints that make an impact on me are the ones who nail and stick to their style. This is usually a specific flavor profile that is unique, specific, and consistent in repetition and consistently separating themselves from the rest. The service was 10/10 I forgot his name but he said he was from Kazakhstan. We came here after Sight and Sound on my mom's birthday and he made our dining experience pleasant and memorable. It's not a bad joint by any means and most likely the best BBQ in Branson. I will return. read more

My kids however went with the "molly" burgers and they were DELICIOUS!! The molly sauce was very yummy, the burgers were huge, and the fries were overflowing. I'm not sure about the food. Because I couldn't get service. They greeted me at the door. Since I was by myself I was seated at the bar. Which was no problem. But I sat there for over ten minutes without a single person acknowledging me. Not to even take a drink order. When I decided to walk out I mentioned it to the lady that was the greeter. All she did was make the excuse that the bartender was helping other customers. This place was decently busy but not so busy someone couldn't acknowledge my presence and at least take a drink order. There were several of the employees who walked right by me and looked right at me. Obviously knowing I hadn't been helped. We get barbecue wherever we go on vacation and I'm a road warrior and nearly always get barbecue all across the USA. Gettin' Basted had some of the best barbecue I've had in a long time. When my wife and I go for barbecue we always do family style. We ordered the ribs and chicken platter with mac and cheese and bbq baked beans. We added the jalapeño sausage and a half pound of brisket. The common theme that followed each item was a great smoky flavor, not overdone, and tender without falling apart. As barbecue should be. I do not care for meat that falls apart as soon as you touch it, as many places offer. The ribs had a slight tug. The brisket would hold up under it's own weight as you lift a slice. The chicken was perfectly smoked and not dried out. The sausage was moist. The jalapeño gave it a bit of a welcome bite without overpowering the taste of the pork. Cason, being 4 years old, wanted fries and mac-n-cheese, so enough said about that. Jill had the Wagyu Brisket entree with the sweet potato fries and fried okra, Tammy had the Smoked BBQ Chicken entree with sweet potato fries and fried okra, and I had the Wagyu Brisket entree with fried okra and the seasonal veggies, which were fresh broccoli and carrots steamed in a butter sauce. My family had the most amazing meal here 4th of July weekend. We tried the bbq wings as an appetizer and those were AMAZING! You have to get them. Then we got the Hall of Famer family meal so we could try a bit of everything and we enjoyed every piece we got.
