My point to Gerber when I spoke with Ryan, the manager, was people don't need company's like Gerber milking them when it's hard enough to get by after 4 years of Bidenomics. Now van is dead again with alternator issues. GM Ryan said he was sending someone out to replace battery, Tyler, and take it to have alternator tested. Guy came out, put a new battery in and left without talking to me, then texted me saying everything is fine. I get in and battery light is still on. Communication throughout the process was poor -- I had to chase updates and felt left in the dark more than once. But the real issue came when I picked up my 4Runner. The damage was to the rear bumper, and I immediately noticed the rear hatch would no longer stay open. When I brought it to their attention, I was told they hadn't touched the hatch. But there were absolutely no issues with it when I dropped the vehicle off. They chalked it up to coincidence, refused to take any responsibility, and were very dismissive. Had it been shaking I would have requested a rental right away and parked it as I drive to Chattanooga for work. He said well it wasn't the wreck. Well then it has to be y'all as it wasn't doing it before. Said my tires were worn out. I got these tires 5 months ago and they were great pre wreck. And again did I mention no shaking?! I am sure driving it for a week pulling to the right probably wore them some but no shaking. Now I have to go pay for a other shop to estimate and evaluate what these guys did to my car. And I have to go pick up a car that is no longer safe to drive with my grandkids in it or to work. Do not use these people. You'd be better off getting some gorilla glue at Walmart and doing it yourself rather than your car coming back w new issues. Edited to add that we have since taken our car to a shop outside their insurance network who has 3 other cars from Gerber that are having to be fixed.
