About a month ago, the car went into limp mode and barely made it home. I took it to a recommended shop, and while I appreciated the effort and honesty, I was told the car might not be worth a major investment. At 79, with no car note and no desire for one, I chose a different path. I had the car transferred to The Bug Shop, where David, the owner, confirmed the hard news--the engine was gone. Not what I wanted to hear, but what I needed to hear. I followed his recommendation for sourcing a reputable engine, purchased it, and had it shipped directly to the shop. Yesterday, I drove a car that feels tighter and runs better than it ever has. It drove so beautifully I felt like I could head straight across the country to the West Coast! My front passenger window cracked and I wanted to get it fixed right away. I sent out a request…read morethrough Yelp, and Chris was the first to respond. He was very communicative and made an appointment with his quote fairly quickly. The price for the window was fair, and paying him was quick because he had options on how to receive payment. Communication was transparent, and I understood what I was getting with my service. Once he replaced my window, he showed me the old one and showed how it broke. Chris is nice and quick with his work but also very efficient and thorough. If you are in Hapeville, he doesn't live too far so he can do a mobile service. Hopefully I won't have to call on him again because that would mean more windows on my car broke, but I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs this type of service. He would be the first I'd reach out to if I needed window replacement (but hopefully not).

8/5/26. I contacted Mr Dunson yesterday and explained my grandson had his car repaired at Goodyear…read morefor install on a Fuel Tank Sending Unit. The repair cost $700! After they serviced his car, there was a problem with the engine revving up, smell of gas fumes and eventually after a few days his car wouldn't start. After a cpl of convos w/Goodyear my grandson was told he would need to pay for another Diagnostic test!? Basically he was out of luck. I believe it was by God's grace that we found Dunson Automotive!! -It's a mobile service so he came to us. -He LISTENED to my grandson and went to work. -He detected the issues from the Goodyear install. Recorded what he found and 'documented' the errors made by the Goodyear installation. Today my grandson and my daughter (his mom) called GY and explained in detail (from Mr Dunson's documentation) of their mistakes. As a result, Goodyear agreed to tow my grandson's car back to the shop and fix it with no additional charges! Mr. Dunson went above and beyond!! He is a professional, compassionate and definitely knows his business! And we are so grateful. Thank you Dunson Automotive! We will be referring all our friends to you!
