I was so disappointed in Discount Tire today. I've used them since we moved to Cartersville and have had nothing but great service from them. I went in today, arriving a 12:08pm, to get my tires rotated and balanced...probably a 10 to 15 minute job for a professional. I did not leave until 4:28...4 hours and 20 minutes. At 3pm I approached the desk and ask the attendant how many people were ahead of me. He responded they were bringing my car in next. They did not. When one customer complained because he had heard the same individual tell 4 other people the same thing, he had not answer, but one of the other attendants appologized saying he did not have enough people working. So, if that is the case, don't pack your schedule to the point that your customer's are inconvenienced. I had other errands to care for today, but was unable to get them completed. read more

They reek. They're polite but rip you off. Bought a set of Mechelin Defenders that lasted a whopping 15K. At first the salesman only found records for one pair of tires that I bought, but later, when I told him I had bought two pairs there about a month apart and found the second pair and I got more of a credit. Paid hundreds more and bought a set a of Goodyear Assurance tires guaranteed to last 85K. They lasted 15k. They wanted to give me a partial refund on them and sell me another set of tires that would only cost me an additional $500. Avoid these folks like the plague. Goodyear BTW doesn't even answer their CS phones. They know what garbage they sell. read more

With the story I'm going to tell you, you probably think "why did he write a four star review and not a one star review?" Let me explain. We went into the store today and realized we needed to get four new tires. They were able to price match with the same tires at Costco to save us about $60, so we were happy with that. They had to order the tires, but they came in the same afternoon, so I went back to have them installed around 3:30 PM. They quoted the job being done around 4:45 PM, and it was done right about that time. Now mind you, I just spent almost $1000 on four brand new tires and installation. We live in Adairsville, and the store is in Cartersville. After I drove off and headed home, about 10 miles down the road the warning lights went off on my car and said that the front right tire only had about 20 pounds of pressure in it. I could feel it was riding low, so I turned around and headed back to Discount Tire. By the time I arrived back at the store, the tire in the front passenger side was completely flat. When I drove up, they had me pull into an open Bay and then about after 20 minutes more they came and told me that the installation on the TPMS (tire pressure monitor system) hadn't been done correctly but now they fixed it. So while I am happy that the tire is fixed, It's also scary to know that I could've had a complete blowout driving home and been in an accident because of the improperly mounted tire and their negligence. Now, I have been buying my tires from Discount/America's Tire for years, and I will continue to do so. I don't think today was indicative of their normal service. However, I will be keeping an eye on that front right tire to make sure that nothing else is wrong with it. We are nervous about it, but I'm hoping for the best. The gentleman who fixed it was very apologetic, although the man inside named Brian was a little rude about it in my opinion. It would've been nice, for all of the inconvenience and for the extra trip back to the store and further wait to fix the issue if they had done something like maybe offer the certificates to replace the tires they had tried to get me to pay for... or something... but nothing was offered. I'll still continue to shop at Discount Tire for my vehicles, I just have a bit of trepidation that I never had before. read more

I had a blow out on I 75 just south of Adairsville. I had to call a tow truck and it was closing time for everyone. I was a good trek away from this tire store but it had been recommended. I tried to call but didn't get an answer and so had the tow driver take us there anyway. We pulled up a few minutes after 6. They still had cars in the bays but I'm sure they were trying to close. I told a young man who stuck his head out what had happened and he told me they would take care of it. Another young man named Harrison assisted me and he was extremely helpful They changed the tire since the damaged one was irreparable and everything was finished in about half an hour even as busy as they were They were professional, reassuring and went above and beyond. I just went to the Discount Tire shop at 1407 Turner McCall Blvd SE, Rome, GA for a slow leak in my time. They had me in and out in less than 30 minutes. They even balanced the tire and shined all the tires. They removed a small screw, repaired the tire with a lifetime guarantee on the repair. I knew I had a nail or something in a tire as I had a pressure sensor warning. My regular hometown tire place that I have used for more than 20 years is closed on Saturday so I had to find an alternative. I went to this "new" place in town and I was delighted in how I was received. First off, Hess, an assistant manager, met me before I could even get to the door. He checked the vehicle, noticed I had locking wheel hubs (got him the "key"), and got me set up for service. The wait wasn't too awful long as it was a Saturday morning and seven other customers were already checked in before I arrived. The technician met with me and told me he located the screw and it would be no problem to repair right after he took the tire off. He then returned after he had completed the job and actually showed me part of a screw her recovered from the tire AND part of a small drill bit! Best of all, they charged me nothing at all!!!!! I have becomes used to being charged about $ 20 from other places in the past for a patch job on a tire but FREE??? That's crazy! It is a brilliant business model though as I appreciate the excellent service and now they definitely will top my list when it comes time to replace my tires. I called in to find out the wait to get a tire put on. I was told there is no wait to come on in, so I left and came right on in after waiting over 30 mins I decided to come inside and ask how long the wait is I was told 1 hr because I didn't make an appointment but when I called and asked if there was a wait do I need to make an appointment I was told no do come on in. The associate I asked how much longer I'm going to wait he told me we can try to get you out in an other hr after waiting over 30 mins and other cars being pulled in before me after getting here after me I was informed an appointment takes precedent over a walk-in. So I said when I called in I asked if I needed to make an appointment and I was told no and representative was unhelpful and rude. Called Discount Tire in Cartersville, GA prior to going to location. Told them exactly what tires I needed to have mounted (brand, size, etc. )Rep on phone gave me an actual quote to mount and balance and said he had openings to complete the job immediately. I drove to the location. When I arrived the rep came out and greeted me very professionally. Took all of my info and even mentioned that the rep I called mentioned I was coming. When we got to counter to enter my information, the rep tells me they can't mount and balance the tires due to one if there safety standards. What's really interesting is how on the phone they can do it and once on site they can't even though I gave them all of the info on the phone. Even more interesting is the tires I wanted to have mounted were the exact same size as the tires that were currently on the vehicle that I purchased from a Chevrolet dealer which also mounted and balanced them. How can a certified Chevrolet dealer do the job and stand behind it but Discount Tire can't?! Went down the street and had the job completed for $80 less and tires look great and vehicle drives great! read more
