BEWARE! I recently had my windshield replaced by this service location chosen by my insurance provider. Besides not showing up without any calls the day of service appointment, when they finally showed up and replaced my windshield, it resulted to an error code on my dashboard. I immediately called them, but after their tech came back, I was told there is nothing else he can do and I should call the shop the next day. It also resulted to more error codes. I called Safelite customer service to ask for warranty service call and had to go back and forth between different depts. until I was finally transferred to their store /service manager. To my disappointment and surprise, the manager insisted that the error codes are not their fault and that i should "just charge my battery and drive my vehicle and it will all go away". This is after I told him numerous times that the Mercedes Dealership stated that its a safety concern since it involves the front airbags. I even reminded him that driving it with safety issues is a big risk and asked him if he is willing to take responsibility if it resulted to injury and possibly death. He still insisted that he is right because he said so, and even if the experts in Mercedes Benz says otherwise. This is the kind of service that this location provides. It doesn't matter that Safelite states they provide" lifetime warranty on their workmanship as long as you own the vehicle" . To think that this issue resulted 5 minutes after the installation. Imagine calling them after 5 months or 1 year. I have no choice but to escalate this to their corporate and legal dept. because the management team in this location doesn't care about Safelite's promise to their customers. read more

Nice clean location, right on the main street in Cartersville. The waiting area was not fancy but very sufficient for 2-3 hours wait. I visited this location on a Monday and I was quoted one price. Customer Advocate, Lisa, was attentive, friendly and very helpful. I gave her the vehicle information and she found out what our deductible was. She gave me a quote of $910.47 for the front window glass replacement. On Thursday afternoon, during the same week, I called Lisa and tried to schedule an appointment. Now I was informed that the price had gone up to $1,049.57. Oops! Not her fault! The on line $50.- coupon would only be applicable if we made the appointment online. So I had a chip occur in my windshield, and my husband made an appointment at this location. This is our first and last time coming to this particular location. It was a sunny day so I was a bit concerned when they took my vehicle into their garage and all the bey doors were closed. You worked on my vehicle behind closed doors. What were you hiding?? I left my work back packed on floor front of the front passenger seat. Oddly enough you fixed my windshield ( swapped out my wipers for some old crappy ones) and went through my back pack. Just wondering why!? I know this because when you brought my car back to me my back pack was on the seat and open. No worries good thing I took my wallet out. I honestly did not appreciate what your team did. Nor will I ever return to your shop for service. Hard working people should not have to pay people who do this. I realize you need to make money since the pandemic but this is not the way to treat new customers. I haven't been home long enough to know if the window leaks, but I have to say that to Safelite did a very good job with their communication efforts from the moment I filed my claim and made contact with them. They responded almost immediately telling me they were looking for my windshield replacement. They set a date, and when the glass could not be found, they said they would get back in touch with me. A day later, they got back in touch with me with a time for an appointment; they sent me an email and a text message confirming the time and date of the appointment; and on the day of the appointment, they sent me a text message, saying they were ready for me. Safelite managed my expectations from the get-go. They told me when the car went into the garage, when they were working on the window, and alerted me by phone, and by text when the car was done. I talked to the General Manager, he refused to stand by their work and kept making up lies to blame multiple other people! When I asked for his info, he gave me his assistants card instead of his. I had a stone chip fixed in my front windshield at the this location, when he was complete he approached me and said "it doesn't look good but I assure you that it is sealed" it was a small to medium chip. Let's just say, it doesn't look like it was done from the inside, and the crater that is on the outside is sad. I have had these fixed before and they have always done a great job at other locations. Due to a break in I had to call on Safelite to replace my backseat drivers window. I pulled the website up and went through the easy process of getting a quote on setting up an appointment. Super easy!! Andrew arrived promptly at the stated time. It was HOT that day and I felt so bad for him! He was a trooper though and got on with his job. The only issue I have is that due to my type of car, he couldn't take the panel completely off to remove all of the broken glass. I now have a slight rattle in the door due to the leftover debris. Had a back window shatter, calle Safelite. They replaced it and I paid them, Fast forward a whopping 12 hours and the window the replaced shattered! I called to get it replaced as it has been raining a great deal here in Cartersville, Ga. I was told it is now a warranty issue and would need to file a claim, I did, they came out two days later, technician says well I cannot understand why it shattered so we're not going to replace it or stand behind our "NO WARRANTY" (I call it now). I was, well furious! I contacted the warranty department again and told them I needed someone above the warranty manager to call me. I'm waiting on the call now. Take Away- Regardless of what they do, if you have a warranty the customer should not have to jump through hoops when its obvious I had not done anything to cause the faulty glass to shatter after being replaced!! I was told that is the norm from prior customers. Deny fault or warranty work. Not a great way to do business. Shame on you safelite!! read more

I have scheduled twice for a Saturday for them to come out and change a windshield. I scheduled through a fleet management company ARI . Both times they was supposed to come out they had an excuse . Today they said it was because the car wasn't covered and it was going to rain .. it didn't rain all day . These guys are the typical people who don't want to work and especially on a Saturday.. they had rather go home early and drink beer I guess ... Safelite is funny ! And very poor service . When you call in and complain its like your talking to the same guy who didn't want to work in the first place .. horrible company and customer service ... Never again! Tech did a great job. Called and made an earlier appointment which was good. Install was timely. This is not a problem with the tech. He advised they could do the calibration at the local office and to expect to leave the vehicle for an hour and a half. Just make an appointment. Of course, you can't get in touch with the local shop and you go through a service center. All of a sudden they could not calibrate my particular vehicle (Hyundai Sonata) and I would need to take it to a dealer. How could they not let the tech know that so as not to tell a customer one thing and then have the office say another? Now looking at feedback on multi sites, including theirs, it appears to be normal for complaints. You can bet my insurance carrier will get an ear full for using this service. read more

I had these guys schedule to come to my house on a Saturday to replace a windshield. On that Saturday they called to let me know that they didn't have the correct windshield. We scheduled the following Saturday. That Saturday I got another call that said they didn't have the right glass. I went in In person to ensure we would get this right after Jim failed to return a call from earlier in the week. We then scheduled for the 3rd Saturday in a row. That was today. This morning I received a call from the install tech. He asked about some features of the windshield. Low and behold, they had the wrong one again in spite of having been here twice, being provided the VIN, and my personal visit. Jim did offer to drive to get a replacement windshield that he had located today, but I elected not to patron this business. These are simply the facts, make your own decisions. read more

They came to our house late. Then one drop of rain fell from the sky. It was still sunny out. The guy just left in a hurry and said we should get it done at the shop. Then we rescheduled to have them come back a few days later. They had a 5 hour window. They didn't show up, and they didn't tell us they weren't coming. This place is so unprofessional and they caused us to waste like 10 hours in total waiting for them. Wouldn't recommend having the mobile repair done. Maybe they are better in the shop. The negative was the tech destroyed our rear view mirror holder and scratched up the interior and didnt bother to tell us. Very disappointed with service from Safelite. They were unable to match the factory tint color of the glass on my vehicle even though I was very specific to the customer service lady over the phone when I scheduled the appointment about the color of the tint, she told me she had the right color and part number and it would match. Well when the technician showed up for the appointment the tint did not match so I had to reject it. He also told me he was unable to get the correct color tint that they are unable to order it so I will now have to go with another repair company. Also, they were supposed to order a molding that goes around the window but when the technician arrived he did not have that part either so if the tint had been the correct color he would not have been able to install the window that day because he didn't have the molding piece. Also the customer service person told me that they had filed this claim through my insurance but when I called my insurance company they had no record of the claim. I am very disappointed and I will never use Safe lite nor would I recommend them. This was a total waste of my time and now my window is still not repaired and I have to start the process again with another company. Also the Safe lite technician made the hole in my broken window worse/ bigger while he was here and didn't have any plastic to cover the hole with, to help keep the rain out, so now I'm left with an even bigger hole in my old window that I have to figure out how to cover up until I can get it repaired. We had a windshield replaced by Safelite in February of 2016. It started leaking. After 5 attempts to fix it and damage to our car, the manager finally took the car to the shop and repaired the windshield. That is the beginning of the nightmare-the car (a four month old, brand new car when Safelite first touched it) began to smell so badly that you could smell the mold and mildew from the outside of the car. My wife had to throw away one of our daughter's bags because after it stayed in the car overnight, it smelled so bad that she could get the smell out. To date, we have not had our car in over four months. Our Safelite contact changed cell phone numbers without letting us, the dealership, or the body shop have a way to contact him. The body shop bill remained unpaid for over a month and the bodyshop began calling my wife at work. Now, the car sits at a dealership who told me this morning they are waiting on Safelite because they have all the parts ready to put the car back together. Safelite wants to repeat a service that has been done and failed two times for the smell. We have made thousands of dollars of payments and insurance on a car that I do not even have. We go weeks without contact form the Safelite Rep and end up having to call him and play phone tag. To their credit, Safelite has provided a rental car--that is the only positive thing I have to say.
