Absolutely terrible experience at Days Chevrolet. I made a service appointment, showed up on time, and was told they're "overbooked" because it's the weekend. So apparently appointments here mean absolutely nothing. Instead of honoring what they scheduled, they just shrugged it off and told me to come back on Monday or Tuesday like it's no big deal. No real apology, no attempt to make it right--just a complete waste of my time. Honestly, how are customers supposed to trust a place that can't even manage its own appointments? If they can't handle something as basic as scheduling, it really makes you wonder what else they cut corners on. Days Service center is your typical greedy buiz. there worse than sales people that sell u the clunkers! they said they dropped pan on transmission and sadly it was lie. i 1. paid for service i did not recieve. 2. i think they know about 6l80 transmission have bad torque converter that comes apart after 120k miles. 3. if they would have actually dropped pan and change the fluid they may have seen early signs of issue. that was 8-9k miles ago. i had mentioned to service lady that i dont think tech changed fluid that it looked like day i brought in. she said that some fluid i torqued converter makes brown lmao. mind u i trusted this person. i dropped pan the filter clogged with metal pan full of metal. no way they did job i paid for. no warning of bum torque converters. im sick now im on hook yo replace transmition like we dont suffer enough with high over priced everything!! Very sad customer service and even worse labor department. Car was sent here by progressive, I only found out that "progressive did not cover the cost of this part after it FELL off on the highway." Manager argues with me that I should complain to insurance. I was never told this part wasn't replaceable. They only care about money and not the customer. Be warned. To sum up this post if you don't want to read the whole thing: Avoid Day's Chevrolet in Acworth if you want someone that has integrity, is honest and efficient. Jan 8th, I'm in an accident that wasn't my fault. The other party's insurance company tells me to drop my car off at Day's about a week and a half later. We get there with a screaming toddler chilling in the car and they tell us they don't do same-day drop off. I have to call the insurance company and they explain to me the person that okayed the drop off. Eventually after a lot of back and forth with Matthew, the manager tells us it's a safety issue that we'd be taking it back home and they'll actually hold onto it. I'm called a few weeks later and told that it'll be ready for pick up on February 1st. That gets pushed back twice a week for 3 weeks. They called last week and I'm told that the car is ready for pick up but now it's stalling and giving an error message "shift to park". They tell me over and over that this can't be caused by the accident so they can't pin it on the insurance company. No diagnostic check done prior to the body work. They assume it's a shifter issue but haven't done a diagnostic check to figure it out. They tell us it will be $435, but they'll discount it to $400. (Yay, $35.) We go back and forth with my insurance, their insurance and are told it won't be covered because it wasn't caused by the accident. Strange that I've never had this issue until an accident that involves the area where the shifter is. Also, how do I know while they were working on it THEY didn't mess something up? Ultimately, 21 days later we get it discounted to $300 and they refuse to work with us or submit a supplemental claim. I have never been so displeased with a company. Also, for our troubles they changed my battery which was only a year old. So thanks? Also, they were awful about communication and we had to wait an hour to pick up the car once we got there. Thanks for being a pain in the butt to work with Day's! We won't be back! read more

The Sales Manager and the Lady In used car sales Jill both were so helpful to me and some dealerships are not as friendly as everyone there were to me. They gave me a great price to buy my SUV out right and that was what I was told by another popular dealership. Plus I got to drive a new Tahoe and whatever extra add on's was not very expensive. I have to say though when I moved to Cherokee County I was pleasantly surprised by Day Chevrolet. Service reps are pleasant and my estimates have been accurate. I was so pissed when I picked my car up after body repair. I left a digital tire pressure gauge in the glove box. It's gone. Yea, I should've taken it out, but that's just dirty. Was towing 5th wheel trailer across country and several hundred miles east of Atlanta truck started having severe power loss. Made it to RV park and park manager strongly recommended Days for service. Arrived at Dealer on a Tuesday afternoon and Tim in service dept was very helpful but informed us that the wait to even look at the truck was 5-6 days. That would have been ok but the rv park was booked for the following week for Memorial day and we would have to be out the following Monday. Tim said he would try to get us in sooner if he could. Got a call on Friday Morning and told us truck was diagnosed as a bad emissions computer, but could not get part until Monday morning. Called on Monday and truck was ready early to be picked up. Was able to leave RV park on time and truck towed trailer back to California with no troubles. My company owns a fleet of 12 GMC/Chevrolets vans/trucks. We use Days Chevrolet for all our vehicle maintenance, repairs and oil changes. We have used Days exclusively for over 20 years because they are Knowledgeable, Professional and Fair. Not once in all the years I have used them have I every felt I was being taken advantage of. They have had to be the bearer of bad news when an expensive repair has to be made but that was not their fault. Brenda and Lee are my "Go To" service advisors and I trust what they tell me. When I see someone posting 1 star or saying no stars I can only think that mistakes do get made and if given the opportunity I'm sure the service manager (Ben) would make things right. I bought a brand new Suburban Premiere edition eight months ago from Day's Chevrolet. In October, I started to notice a smell in the cabin that got progressively worse - a smell like "dirt" which we all know is a sign of mildew/mold. I took it in to Day's and they determined that the drain tube for the area around the sun roof had gotten pinched and instead of draining down the tube, water was running inside the roof, down the pillar, behind the dash and underneath the carpet. So, they ordered and replaced everything "cloth" (carpets, headliner, etc) in the cabin - removed everything from the interior, wiped everything (including the inside of all the doors) with a bleach solution in an attempt to kill the mold/mildew.- no dice...the smell was still there - BAD - and it was determined that there was no way to fix it. Here's where everything gets really good (and I do mean good - not in a sarcastic way). Without going into the long, boring details, in the end they replaced my Suburban with a brand new one - I simply had to pick out a new one (which I found online and they had transferred to their dealership) and submit the paperwork necessary to start the exchange - no arguments, no attempts to get around it, just good old-fashioned great customer service. It wasn't a fast process. It all started in November and I didn't pick up the new Suburban until last week - BUT - Ben Larue (the service manager) Jeff Amerson (the new car sales manager) and Mark Simpson (the salesman handling the new purchase) went well beyond the call of duty to make sure the whole process went as seamlessly as possible. They were easy to get on the phone, easy to talk to, kept in constant contact with me throughout the process and did it all with a friendly demeanor most wouldn't normally expect from a car dealership. I had many options when I bought my Suburban - for the amount I spent I could have purchased a wide variety of other cars or SUV's from other auto makers - having chosen to purchase a Suburban, I also had the option of going to any of a long list of Chevrolet dealerships in close proximity to my home. My experience with Day's, both during the first purchase and in the process of replacing it with a new one, has earned them a life-long customer. If you are in the market for a new car and considering Chevrolet, it's well worth the trip to visit Day's and see what they can do for you. read more

The oil change service is always great. The people are great. All but 2 customers in the waiting area wore masks. The employees on the other hand not so much. Oil change guys had on masks. One guy at the cashier had a mask. The other woman did not. For the most part, the parts guys and the entire sales staff were not wearing masks. Hope they don't catch or pass anything. First time customer of Days Chevrolet, although what attracted me there was a salesman, Scott Layton. Scott, who I think has been there six years, had previously been involved in i think two purchases i made at another dealer. (That dealer sold to someone, and Scott moved to Day as they held similar values as the other dealer he had worked for that other city). To say I was treated well and i had a positive experience is an understatement. I had called Scott days earlier and told him my situation and timetable. I flew down on a short schedule. He spent a lot of time with me and my wife, showing three different models. He deligently and patiently went with my wife as she drove . And narrowed her choices down. He then showed her different assessory packages. He walked us through the incentives, financing available, comparing the finances to a pre approval i brought with me. We could not have been happier. I do not hink anyone could have done better. To top it off he ensured my wife understood the company policy on servicing and other things they offered. Kudos to Day, and in particular to Scott. I was charged $724 for a compression test and told there were internal problems. All of that was false. so basically I had to pay $724 for absolutely nothing. I originally went to another dealership and found the experience there VERY lacking. I had a great deal of trouble getting credible information from them and the negotiation was manipulative and one-sided. After walking out on them, I contacted Bill through the "Internet Sales" link online. Bill responded in a matter of 20 minutes or so. Over the next 5 hours we swapped emails where he proceeded to give me all the information that I needed to make a decision (I had already test drove the car with the other dealer). By the time, we were done emailing I knew that I wanted to buy my car at Day's Chevrolet. I walked in Monday morning and finally actually met Bill and we got the deal done. He even arranged for a USAA discount I didn't even know I qualified for. Financing was easy and painless. I walked out with my new car and have been extremely satisfied with the car and the service. This was my first time ever buying a new car. After this experience, I realize that even for the same car from the same maker, the dealership does make a difference. The contrast in experience was very stark. I have told the story to at least a dozen people already and I will continue to recommend Day's Chevrolet to anyone interested in buy a new Chevy. read more

Beware!!! This service department will tell you all sorts of things are wrong with your vehicle that are not actually issues then be rude when you can't afford their prices! Worst service department ever! We have purchased 2 new vehicles from this location and will NEVER go to or recommend Days Chevrolet Acworth to anyone! We had a vehicle towed to the Days Chevrolet Service department (this was not a vehicle we purchased at Days). The vehicle arrived on Friday and they called on Tuesday with a list of issues that totaled up to $4300! we originally took the vehicle to Days with the expectations that our extended warranty would cover the cost. We were informed that NONE of the issues were covered under warranty. Since this was a vehicle we had not had long we contacted the dealer we purchased it from and they wanted the vehicle taken to a different service center for a second opinion. When we notified Days of this they were rude and wanted to charge us a little over $800 for the compression test they performed. When asked why the compression test was so expensive they stated it was 4.5 hours labor to perform it. The reality is they called us at 8 am to get permission to do the test and 11 to tell us the results. So it couldn't have taken 4.5 hours to complete the test. Brandon the service manager was beyond rude when we told him we would not be having the vehicle repaired there and made the comment they don't like diagnosing issues just to have the a vehicle repaired somewhere else. So basically they decided to charge us as much as possible for the diagnosis. Then to make it worse Brandon would not take a card payment over the phone and made us drive to the dealership to come in and pay for the compression test. His reasoning was because we had never had service there before (keep in mind we have purchased 2 new vehicles from this dealership in the past) The shop the vehicle was taken to, didn't find near as much wrong as Days was claiming. So after paying $724 ( Brandon finally agreed to subtract 1.5 hours of labor since we had proof that their compression test didn't take 4.5 hours) we had the vehicle towed to another repair shop in the same condition as it arrived at Days. So I send in this response to a survey sent by Chevy and they ask me to post it to Yelp and Google+ and Facebook! Alright! So due to a miscommunication in my family, I was under the impression that Chevy stopped honoring the maintenance plan on my vehicle. This led to me having to wait for a while to be able to bring my Cruze in, because working an almost minimum wage job at crazy hours, you sometimes have to make the decision to eat, or do other things like pay 45-50 bucks for an oil change. As you can imagine when I brought my car in, it wasn't pretty. What the problem here is, is how Quincy, the QuickLube manager, did after this, that leads to the 1 star review. He brings my oil dipstick into the waiting room with several customers, and begins to berate me in front of everyone, speaking down to me like I was some child or idiot. That also is not the main problem because Benjamin LaRue resolved this when I spoke to him, however, Due to me not wanting to waste Mr. Larue's valuable time, I neglected to mention that after that little side show Quincy performed in the waiting room, he also provided me with a handy PICTURE OF THE DIPSTICK. Why? So I can hang it on my refrigerator? So I can forever remember the time the quick lube manager made me feel half a millimeter tall?! Oh, but it doesn't stop there. When I get to my car, I find that.. whats this? My headlights are on? Not the auto headlights, but my headlights were PHYSICALLY TURNED ON and LEFT ON FOR SOME TIME because when i got in my car... IT WOULD NOT START. I had to get a jump start! How PETTY can you be?! Not only that, but they told me they topped up my tire air and rotated my tires... WRONG. Tires were not rotated and my air levels were not filled to 35 PSI. While I appreciate the conversation I had with Mr. LaRue, the more I think about the experience with the QuickLube, the more I can say that I will never use this dealership again. read more

I don't see how you could give them 5 stars. My hub bearing needed to be replaced and these people took me for an idiot. I went to the GM(General Motors) official site to see what the price of the hub bearing actually was. $243, okay not bad, sounds about right. Day's was charging me $615 for the total repair. That's $372 for labor to fix something on a damn tire. I laughed, the mechanic I took it to laughed and couldn't believe they quoted me with such ridiculousness. Matter fact, I got the replacement for $334 with the GM assembly with a more honest mechanic. It wasn't even an hours job. I've been to Day's before, but this was the first time they threw a curve ball like this. So I'm not going back to this establishment. Also if you need to get your car looked at for other issues, they'll charge $100. Go somewhere else, people wouldn't charge you that rate for a scan some won't even charge a dime. I've had a yelp for about 2 years, but Day's upset me so much that I needed to advise people to think twice before coming. read more

I bought my current Yukon from Days 3 years ago. I went in this past Friday looking to trade in that Yukon and get a newer one. The sales manager told me he had to reduce my trade in value because my power steering was going out. He quotes me $3000 below kbb trade in value for my 2013 Yukon slt with 64,000 miles. I walked out and took my Yukon to my mechanic who thoroughly inspected my truck and told me nothing was wrong with it. It seems the sales manager didn't know driving a truck with a ranch hand brush guard felt different than one without. In speaking with the general manager today to explain my confusion, we were just told the sales manager was a man of faith and he made a mistake. Well, the sales guy wasn't very nice and he nor the sales manager seemed interested in making a sale. They just wanted me to believe my truck had a serious mechanical issue. I do not recommend ever going to Days Chevrolet. There's a reason car salesmen have the reputation they do. read more
