After some initial confusion, the GM of this location personally reached out to extend her help and an apology on a miscommunication that arose. It was followed with a great repair to my vehicle that was in for service with a dent in the rear lift door. Enterprise rental picked me up from this location and I was able to drop the rental off at Gerber once I picked up my repaired vehicle. This was coordinated by the staff at Gerber. Front desk agent was pleasant. All in all, I had a positive experience with the service and team at Gerber and would use and recommend their services as I have in the past. read more

Oswego Illinois location. Insurance recommended Gerber in Oswego Il to replace windshield. Not only is the glass wavy and hard to see through, but they didn't calibrate the lane assist. That's not the worst part. They left black sealant all over interior, hood and fenders, damaged paint, tore headliner, (I have GPS on car) beat the snot out of it warping the brake rotors, all together they did $8113 in damage. I have an appointment at the dealership to have their windshield taken out and the correct one put in and a reputable body shop that's going to fix it properly. Came here for a windshield replacement, they had no way to check my reservation: claimed it wasn't part of their system, then had no one and no where to call and check. Even though they ARE Gerber glass and collision and an enterprise it made no sense. Laura made us sit on the phone and call and sat on hold for more than half and hour, no one showed and we left since there was no point sitting around waiting for nothing. Super stupid that their sign says "Gerber Collision and GLASS" and enterprise... buuut they have no connection from one area to the other... read more

This review is two fold: OUTSTANDING - Jim Bequeaith and his crew repaired the damage to the driver's side of my car and it looks like it did pre-accident. Jim was very friendly, personable and kept me informed. He also made me aware of some shoddy repair work done by the previous owner; greatly appreciated! This location is a recommended servicer with the insurance company, so that made the repair process streamlined and seamless for me. Thanks so much Jim!! Opportunity for Improvement - Don't recall the name of the young lady at the front desk, but she could use some customer service training. Informed consumers read before they sign documents. Just because you put a form in front of someone, that doesn't mean they will sign it, especially when it uses words like "power of attorney" and says they have received something they had not. "Everybody signs it" is not a valid reason for signature. Had to ask to speak to the manager after she got argumentative. read more

Guess I shouldn't have assumed I'd be treated the same as in the past under the old management. A friend told me to stay away from Gerber. Now I know why. General manager was rude. Worst collision center(Gerber Collision - Newyork st, Aurora IL) to deal with. They gave me a quote and we got it approved by Allstate before leaving the vehicle there. When we went to pick up the vehicle they charged us 500$ deductible but no work was done. Scratches and bumper damages were still there. People over there were rude and not helpful. Another great experience. Back bumper needed replacing. Got a written estimate for State Farm, they got the parts and everything cost exactly what they estimated. When I got the car back, not only was the work done perfectly and professionally, they also buffed out some scratches in the paint at no extra charge! This is my second time using the location. The first time wasn't great at all. However, this time around, I was lucky to have Robert at Gerber manage the process - from prompt communication, to estimation, to dealing with the insurance of the guy who hit my car, and everything in between. He went above and beyond in terms of accommodating our schedule and getting everything done earlier than estimated. Someone hit my rear passenger tire area. I was concerned the 8inch scratch would rust so I went to Gerber Collision and I spoke with Stephanie B about about an estimate. Stephanie took my keys and had me wait in the waiting room. Within 10 mins she was back to give me the damage total. To my surprise, her wonderful team of workers were able to buff out the scratches and only a small dent remained. My 10 year old car looks like new in that corner again! My car was there for an estimate after my crash. I got my car back at home now. But without a key. I called and asked if they had the key and they lost it. I just want my key back. If I don't get my key back I am going to have to tow my car to the dealership pay the tow truck, pay for the key, and pay to program which all in all is about $700.00. Terrible. read more

I gave one star because you have to click at least one but this place is horrible. Last summer someone rear ended me and I brought my car here and the service was outstanding. Well this May 2014 I was caught in the hail storm and had quite a bit of damage to my car. My insurance carrier referred me to another body shop, but I specifically requested this shop. When I called they gave me an apt for 6/23 and asked that I send over my estimate. Well I show up on 6/23 and they don't have me scheduled and they lost the estimate I sent over. Then, Myra, the lady upfront says, "we can squeeze you in" I explained that I didn't want to be squeezed in but I would take my car elsewhere. She then stated that they could get me in and based on the estimate it would only be 2 days for repairs. Well I was in a rental for 18 days because they were so back logged. Thanks for overselling (lying Myra). They did not keep me up to date on when my vehicle would be ready and then they promised me additional free services to make up for their lack of customer care. When it came time to pick up my car and the insurance carrier had issued the two checks and I had paid my deductible, Al was not interested in any promises made earlier because they had their money now. Also, please be aware that this is no longer Collision Revision but this is a Gerber collision shop even though they continue to answer the phone as Collision Revision and use Collision Revision letterhead. I hope to never need anymore bodywork done, but if I did I would not go here. My manager's daughter was just in an accident and he asked me where I had my car and I told him, but also warned him, not to go to this place. Consumer Beware!! read more
