This place provides exceptional service. Now there are two Caliber Collisions right next to each other. One deals with progressive insurance customers and the other I believe is Geico. This review specifically refers to the one that deals with progressive and I'm pretty sure it's the address 801 (actually it's 701!!!), but when it all comes down to it I'm sure the service between the two is completely identical. On January 3rd the new decade was off to a great start when I walked outside and saw that someone had did a hit and run on my car. They damaged the left side of the rear end and left a decent dent. My auto insurance company sent me to Caliber Collision, I brought my car in that Tuesday and they analyzed the damages with me. They told me everything that would have to be replaced etc, just gave me the full details of what they will be doing to my car. Great professionalism from the very beginning. I believe my car was ready around Jan 15th, or somewhere around the date. It took them about a week and a half to fix my car, and when I picked it up they even gave it a car wash and vacuumed the carpet in the passenger seat area. My friends were in my car for the new year and the carpet was a little dirty from all the snow/ ice/ salt etc. so I really appreciated the extra mile they went to vacuum my carpets. What I also enjoy about this company is how they are partnered with Enterprise, so when you drop your car off with them someone from Enterprise will pick you up, so you can rent a car. Overall phenomenal service, the only criticism I have is they are not very upfront about how much the repairs will cost. I didn't know until it was time to pay. The repairs came out to about $2,300 (ish). Quite frankly, in my case it really doesn't matter. I paid the $500 deductible and Progressive handled the rest. Which is why you should ALWAYS drive with insurance. I'm sure the person who did a hit and run on my car didn't have insurance . Jokes on them, they can drive around town with a battered dent up car; however as for me my standards are too high for that. ESPECIALLY since I'm paying a car note. Horrible experience! Progressive sent me here. They have ruined my 2023 bmw car. I've given them 3 chances to fix it and it gets worse every time. They had it over 3 months. I just paid for a second opinion myself and they cannot believe what caliber has done to my vehicle. Took them 4 hours to write up everything while I watched. This shop has endangered my life and everyone they work on. My grille is hanging on - bolts are missing. Horrible at communicating, fraudulent and the customer does all the work. Caliber Collision did a great job repairing my car after it was hit--it looks fantastic and you'd never know there was damage. That said, the communication at the beginning could have been much better. Booking the appointment online was fine: they called to confirm, but when I arrived, there was confusion about my appointment time and they almost didn't take the car. The repair did take less time than originally expected. In the end, the quality of the work was excellent, but the process getting there was more frustrating than it needed to be. read more

This has been the worst experience I have ever had with Caliber Collision, and I am formally submitting this complaint due to ongoing negligence, lack of accountability, and failure to properly repair my vehicle. My vehicle was initially brought in January for what appeared to be a suspension related issue involving a joint connected to the wheel and braking system. I was provided with an estimated completion date that was not honored, and my vehicle remained in your possession for approximately a month and a half. Upon return, the vehicle was in unacceptable condition. It continued to shake, particularly while braking, and multiple components appeared to be improperly fitted or not correctly diagnosed. To conclude, I have honestly lost faith in your facility. This entire process has been extremely frustrating, and I am very upset with how I have been treated throughout. At the very least, there should be some level of understanding regarding the inconvenience that has been caused. I would not recommend this location or Andrew to anyone. This experience has been completely unacceptable. We are now at the end of April, going into May, and this issue remains unresolved. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to have the problem corrected through your facility, I requested that the vehicle be evaluated by a dealership. The dealership was able to correct certain issues immediately, which raises serious concerns regarding the quality and accuracy of the repairs performed by your team. Despite this, the primary issue persists, as the vehicle continues to shake when braking. As of yesterday, I took the car to the dealership due to ongoing frustration and lack of confidence in your facility. At this time, the issue has still not been properly identified, which further highlights the failure to accurately diagnose the problem despite having my vehicle for an extended period, including the initial month and a half and multiple return visits since. Additionally, I have been informed by Andrew that my rental coverage is only approved through this afternoon. This is completely unacceptable given the circumstances. The ongoing issues with my vehicle are a direct result of improper diagnosis and inadequate repairs performed by your team. It is not my responsibility to continue to be inconvenienced and disrupt my daily life because the issue was not properly handled the first time. Since January, I have made numerous trips back and forth, wasting time, fuel, and personal resources. Communication has been extremely inadequate, with calls and messages going unanswered for extended periods. This is an insurance claim, and I should not have had to come out of pocket if this had been properly diagnosed and repaired from the beginning. I have already paid over $1,200 out of pocket, including the $435.84 bill I received today for something that could have been addressed if the car had been properly diagnosed from the start, not including the cost of my time and the ongoing inconvenience caused by this situation. Based on the pattern of events, it is clear that my vehicle was not properly diagnosed or repaired. If the issue had been correctly identified and fixed the first time, I would not be entering the month of May still dealing with the same problem. This has been a continuous cycle of delays, misdiagnosis, and incomplete repairs. At this point,this entire experience has been frustrating, time consuming, and completely unacceptable. This matter has been ongoing since January and remains unresolved as we enter May. Andrew's lack of urgency, poor communication, and failure to take accountability played a major role in this situation remaining unresolved for months. If the issue had been properly diagnosed from January, I would not have experienced these delays, wasted time, and the repeated inconvenience of multiple trips, unanswered calls, and days where I had to leave or miss work because of this ongoing issue. I do not mind paying out of pocket for costs that should be mine, but my main concern is that if this had been handled correctly the first time, I would have paid, moved on, and not been dealing with this months later. My overall issue with Andrew and his team is the lack of proper resolution from the start, which directly caused and contributed to these ongoing delays. It is also frustrating to feel as though the situation was being turned back on me, when the root issue was the failure to properly diagnose and fix the problem from the beginning. My vehicle was hit by a neighbor while parked...the neighbor didn't have insurance so I first sought out an estimate before deciding to use my insurance co. Caliber Collision was the second place I sought the estimate from...it was extremely easy to use their online platform to upload my info and photos. I received an estimate within 48 hours. I contacted my insurance company...and I decided to use Caliber Collision. From my first interaction with Carolina, the general manager to Diana the Administrator at the front desk to Joshua the man that helped me with everything else...this has been the best experience!!! 10/10! It's hard to believe that a large, semi-reputable Insurer, like Progressive, would hang its hat on this second rate collection of reformed used car salesmen, as its preferred body shop. Seriously, they will do everything in their power to convince you that their shoddy body repairs and amateurish paint work(colors don't match, overspray on the windshield and inside the vehicle on the console) are the most beautiful things you've ever laid eyes on. The colors don't match you say? Well, the plastic bumper and the aluminum fender don't match right from the factory, they'll tell you. Trust us, its Supposed to look like that, we're experts don't you know. That big gouge in your bumper, you ask? We weren't supposed to fix that. The overspray on your windshield? There's no way we would have done that, our people know better. You must have driven through a cloud of white automotive paint on your way to Starbucks. Your bumper sags? We'll fix that. Your bumper still sags? We'll fix it again. Wait, bring it back a fourth time for that sagging bumper, we found a fix for that on Youtube. Yes folks, I returned 3 times after the initial "repair", and each time, I was gaslit, and treated as if I was creating a great inconvenience for the high powered manager and his minions. I've seen better work come out of a high school autobody class (I guess I'm dating myself-we used to have those back in the early 80s). Unfortunately, I was involved in a"'not at fault" accident on the 19th of January with a silly, blind, God Dam DEER on my way to work at the railroad in Elwood on a bitter cold, snowy night, OMG, UUUUUUUGH!!! My lil baby wasn't totalled...THANK GOD, but in really bad shape!!! From the very beginning, Caliber was beyond fantastic!!! A young lady by the name of Amanda was my main source of communication! She was awesome, reached out constantly, if not every other few days with constant updates & info on the current situation as well as answering every question I had! They called the car rental place for me and the contact for insurance looked over the car and gave me a time line and heads up about back orders and what their response will be. I legitimately cannot believe the amount of service and quality I got from caliber. I went into the shop pissed off because I got hit, and I expected to get the shaft because I went through the insurance of the girl who hit me. After the service I received, I'm taking my car there for as long as I'm in the area. I was greeted by a super sweet receptionist who took all of my information, and even hunted down my car rental company who went absent. Then I met with Flo who took me through the process step by step to make sure I understood everything, and provided daily updates. The amount of work probably should have taken 5 business days. I took my car here last year as recommended by my insurance company (Geico) for the hail storm. Not only was it the worst mistake of my life, my car has never been the same since. Not only was it not completed the right way, but they didn't fix the issues at hand. Between them and my insurance I got the run around and eventually told they would not cover the repairs despite the damage caused by the weather. I also had to bring my car in more than four times to get different issues taken care of. The only helpful person who was patient enough, was a gentleman Nick Miller who was able to answer my questions and provide the only good customer service that place had to offer. The manager or shop owner, either/or doesn't matter, is a complete jacka** and acts like he's some sort of tough guy. He is disrespectful, a bigot and talks down to you. This is what really set me off, because of the audacity and lack of professionalism shown, instead of taking care of the customer. I've made it well known to the community, near by suburbs, anyone I have come in contact with from Iron Gate to local places I interact and do business with, to avoid this place like the plague. They will not only ruin your car, but you'll be treated terribly through the whole process, especially if you're a minority and from the local feedback and reviews- a woman as well. Do yourself a favor, take your car down the street to Boyce Body Werks or White Eagle if you want to be treated with respect and have premium five star work provided to you. read more

Caliber did an excellent job, was very courteous and professional. I remembered how good they were and took my 2018 Honda Civic there after hitting a deer last week.
