Second time I've had Crash Champions repair this car, third time overall. This time was for paintless dent repair due to hail damage. I don't know how they do it but it looks great! I love their work and their customer service really is spectacular. Everyone in the office is both very friendly and highly competent. The only thing that would make them better is donuts for customers. Just saying. read more

Crash Champions Collision Repair Plainfield - Before and after. Thanks Crash Champions! - Body Shops Near Me - Plainfield, Illinois

I have been a loyal customer of this body shop for more than 10 years. Over the years, I've trusted them with repairs on three different vehicles and have referred countless friends and family because they consistently did excellent work. (I actually gave them a 5-star review on Yelp many years ago). Unfortunately, my most recent experience with Crash Champions was INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTING and has completely changed my opinion of the company. After my car was rear-ended, Crash Champions replaced and repainted my rear bumper. When I picked it up, it was immediately obvious that the shade of white on the new bumper did not match the rest of my vehicle. They agreed it needed to be repainted. To make things easier for them, I scheduled the second repair for while I was on vacation. I dropped the car off on a Monday and wasn't scheduled to pick it up until Saturday, giving them an entire week to complete the work and eliminating the need for them to provide a rental car since the insurance claim had already been closed, and this "warranty" repair would be their responsibility. When I returned on Saturday, I had received no communication that my vehicle was finished. I stopped in about 30 minutes before closing, and instead of being greeted professionally, the manager told me he had to come in on his day off to finish my car. As a customer, that wasn't something I should have been made to feel responsible for, especially after giving them a full work week to complete the repair. Even more frustrating, the bumper still doesn't match the rest of the car. The color is still noticeably different, and there are now two small raised imperfections in the bumper that weren't there before. At this point, I am so frustrated with the quality of the work and the overall experience that I don't even want to take it back for a third attempt. I simply wanted my car restored to the condition it was in before an accident that wasn't even my fault. What disappointed me almost as much as the workmanship was the complete lack of customer service. Years ago, this shop made customers feel appreciated. The first time I used them, they even gave me a bouquet of flowers as a thank-you for choosing them. This time, no one reviewed the repairs with me, no one walked me to my vehicle for a final inspection, and there was no sense that they cared whether I was satisfied with the result. It's clear that this company has changed significantly since it was bought out. Based on my experience, the quality of both the repairs and the customer service has declined dramatically. After more than a decade of loyalty and many referrals, I can no longer recommend Crash Champions. I'm left with a repair that is visibly inferior to the condition my car was in before the accident, and that is incredibly disappointing. I will never go back to or recommend them for service. And I will absolutely use my experience to dissuade others from using them in the future. I'm sorry you lost sight of the importance of good work and good customer service. UPDATE: I reached via email (twice, actually) as they requested in response to this review and have yet to hear back. Customer service is clearly not a priority. Beware! read more

Crash Champions Collision Repair Plainfield - When the light hits it just right you can see the bumps between the two circles on the bumper. You can also feel the bump. - Body Shops Near Me - Plainfield, Illinois

Worst experience with a repair shop I've ever had. Needed a bumper and rear panel repairs, insurance suggested this place. Big mistake. They had my car for SIX WEEKS...6!?!!? They would call and tell me the car would be ready by a certain date, then call again and tell me it would be another week. This happened 8 times. Awful. Then the final cost was THREE TIMES what the estimate was. Three!!! Everyone there should be fired. What a mess. Save yourself the headache and go ANYWHERE else. I'm 100% positive this place is fleecing the insurance company. Can anyone say money laundering? read more

Highly recommended!! Provided great communication from beginning to end, no guessing. Work performed was quality standard, the dent repaired they perfectly matched the custom color of my car. Work performed in an efficient and timely manner.. GREAT JOB!! read more

Extremely disappointed with this shop. My vehicle repairs have been delayed for over two months, and during that time I've been given at least 12 different completion dates, none of which were honored. Communication has been inconsistent, and each time I check in, the timeline changes again with no real explanation. I understand delays happen, but repeated false promises and lack of transparency are unacceptable. I would not recommend this shop if you need reliable timelines or honest communication. read more

Very professional and on time service From beginning to finish they kept us apprised of progress and finish timing Cant say enough from the young man who did our estimate (Brian) to pick up the process was as painless as any work we have had done on our vehicles. read more

Absolutely fantastic service! I stopped by crash champions and dealt with Brett. He was friendly and professional and offered me options as far as fixing my son's car. He went above and beyond giving me a great deal and great service. I wish more businesses were run like crash champions, and there were more Bretts in the world. You definitely have all of my business in the future! read more

After all the good reviews i have read and gave this place good reviews in the past, i totally disagree with the quality of the repairs they done to my Highlander. My Highlander was in mint condition, and not other scratch in my paint job now. Tree times bringing it back now witch it should have been fixed the first time, after $5,400 repairs. I could go on but im too upset. So 0 stars for me. read more

Do decent work, but No sense of urgency, I assume since insurance is covering it they know they will get paid. 2nd time we've had a vehicle repaired by them. First time - delayed because they didn't order the parts until after the car was dropped off - could have saved nearly two weeks if they had done so. Luckily our insurance covered the rental longer. Latest repair, they Quoted a certain time frame and price and stated they weren't very busy so we're eager to get the car in and turn it around quickly. After multiple follow ups to check status all was on target for scheduled the completion date all the way up until 2 days prior. Then I got a text stating it's pushed out a full week. I had just spoken to them the day prior. Unfortunately, this time insurance only gave a flat rate vs. per day and the extension would put us out of pocket on an accident that was not our fault. They said they would see what they could do, again after multiple checks, everything looking good, they did not deliver, actually ended up going three days longer due to an issue upon testing where the hatch would not close, had to then order a part. Then when finally done - inspected work and there were some paint blemishes near the area of repair that we know we're not there prior, but they would not take ownership of this stating it was preexisting and not related to the accident. Pictures do not show it prior. Submitted to insurance after the fact, but they now agreed and would not cover it, probably because what Car Champions originally quoted to do the job was nearly double what they ended up finally submitting and recovering from insurance. Seems kind of shady, if I was paying the bill I definitely would hold them to their original estimate. And then to leave a customer unhappy after collecting $9k from insurance and not being able to take care of and touch up a couple of blemishes. Wow! Lost any future business from us or recommendations. read more

They left markings/warping on my car that wasn't there before. When I asked an employee about this, he claimed that they were already there, but when he showed me the photos from the initial estimate, the marks weren't present. This was unfortunate because everything else about the experience was great Update/reply: It wasn't about what my insurance covered, it's that after leaving my car, there was a new mark that wasn't there previously and instead of fixing it, your employee falsely claimed it was already there read more

*WARNING* Be aware! Do not by any means do not take your auto, parts, anything etc. to Crash Champions. The popped my air suspension, left my car non running. They stole my money, wrote off things that didn't need to be fixed for their own profit, gave me my car back ONE month after NOT drivable. It doesn't move. They didn't touch it because I have aftermarket suspension (installed professionally)The mirror is broken and blamed it on the weather being too hot? I legally can not drive with no mirror. Bad shop to go to. Won't return your calls, lie to you, push your delivery date week after week. The techs do not know what they're talking about pull anything they can when asked why this is this way. Unprofessional. Employees don't know a thing about cars. Please avoid this place. Rude and racist. read more

I am beyond frustrated with my experience at this auto body shop. My car was dropped off last Monday, and was told that it would be done by that same Friday. We are now halfway into the next week and we are still waiting on parts. To be fair, I understand that they are at the mercy of the global supply chain delays, however they told me that the parts were pre-ordered BEFORE I dropped the vehicle off. I even confirmed that they would "order the parts ahead of time and simply return what might not be needed". The worker assured me that's what would happen. This has come to be totally untrue as I've found out from another employee that they don't preorder parts in case customers cancel and the business gets stuck with re-stocking fees. This is fine - however they told me the complete opposite when I asked if the parts were preordered to ensure a speedy completion while in the quote/estimation stage. I'm deeply concerned that this minor project is going on 2 full weeks and I'm given non-answers when I press for an end date. I couldn't have been more transparent when I stressed to their team that I needed a quick turn around. The fact they were willing to flat out lie about completion time just to get my car in their shop really isn't sitting well with me and stings more each day the project isn't done. My recommendation is to avoid this shop outright. (Edit - go read the other low star reviews and you'll see this type of experience seems to be the norm for their customers. I'm kicking myself for not doing my homework on them before hand) read more

First impression was fantastic! Things quickly went south ... my sons car was rear ended and needed repair. Day after drop off, Julian told me "damage isn't bad and there's no damage behind the bumper. Should be ready in 3 days". Excellent! I receive two days later and text stating the estimated date of completion to be 8 days later ? Spoke with Julian who tells me to "ignore that text, it's automated and there never right". Excellent. A day later I call for an update ... I'm then told a new bumper has to be ordered as there is damage behind it ... and it's discontinued and was ordered from CA. Due to my husband needing a car we get a courtesy car. A few days pass and I'm told the bumper doesn't exist and they will have to repair the damaged bumper - the same bumper we were told wasn't repairable. ?! ... with each call made, we received a different story on the delay but with very "scripted" verbiage on apologies. Today, my husband goes to turn in the courtesy car and as he walked in, two employees were at the back counter - he was never greeted. He placed the keys on the counter and sat for almost 5 minutes. Another woman walked in and was promptly greeted. The lack of proper communication was beyond frustrating and the fact that the hours are only to 5pm Mon-Fri is baffling to me and an inconvenience to those that work. read more

Let me start off by saying hope nobody ever has to test my review to see if it is valid or not! However reality is that some of you will eventually need body work on your vehicle and if so then I would highly recommend this facility The inspector/service technician who dealt with my issue was a Mr Juan Lopez and it was a pleasure dealing with him. He is upfront and very knowledgable of the body repair business. He goes into detail as to what the repair entails and insures that all hidden damages are also covered should they be discovered down the road and all the while explaining the process and what to expect The reception personnel likewise are cordial and professional. It took about one week to get the car in and out but during that time we were called and given updates on the stage of the repairs and when to expect it all to be completed Car was done early. Dine perfectly. And is delivered after being fully detailed as well. As a last personal touch my wife was given a bouquet of flowers to boot A very class company to do business with if unfortunately you are in need of collision repair read more

Amazing customer service/friendly front desk staff that makes you feel at ease when dealing with car issues. I got my car back in better shape than it had been in before my accident and it was sparkling clean! Totally trust this repair shop. They really are a team! read more

The service was great! I had an insurance repair for my back driver side door in March, 2021. Not only did they repair the dent and do a wonderful job on the paint but they also buffed out and took care of a large bruised area that was not apart of the insurance repair but was very close in proximity without any additional charge. Excellent work. If thats not enough..... I recently had to replace my license plate and the rear license plate bolt was fused into the hole and would not budge! Toyota could not remove it. They referred me to a body shop! Then I remember the excellent work Crash Champion did in March so I took it back there. They were able to remove the bolt and put on my new license plate!! and the best part......They did not charge me! That was pretty epic because I already paid the $151 for the license plate. Thank you Crash Champion - The place to take your vehicle when unforeseen things happen! read more

Tremendous service with a smile. With one vehicle, they beat the competition by over $1k, on another vehicle they beat the competition by$3k. The final price was very close to the estimate too. My Vehicles were exceptionally clean. From the greeting, to care by Sean estimating the repair, to transport home from Manuel, to timely conclusion of repair, I never felt like a run of the mill customer, I felt like a guest and friend of the business. Home town customer care with a smile. Exceptionally refreshing. Thank you!!!! Colonel James Durant, USAF Ret. read more

I was recommended to this shop through my insurance company and I was Leary at first because of course the insurance company wants to pick the place. I have zero complaints about the experience and quality of work. Customer service was top notch from the moment I walked in the door up until I got my vehicle back. Jacob did an amazing job on keeping me updated with the repairs. If I had to reach out to them they didn't make me feel as though I was bothering them. My vehicle looks brand new again. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone. read more

UPDATE: went else where I got my car fixed for over four grand cheaper yes you heard me right 4000 cheaper Went here for an estimate on my car because of all the good reviews, and everybody saying they're so fair priced. However they came in about $2,000 higher than my other estimate yes that seems like a fair price to me wtf!? read more

Service is un reliable. They made us wait for 6 months and unresponsive and the swrvice is awful

My car was repaired by crash champions threw insurance for a rear end collision. When I got my car back the inside of the vehicle had a white film and dust all over the dash. The steering wheel also had white paint spots left by the repair shop. I had called and revisited the location to speak with the manager. They looked over the the paint on the steering wheel and took blame for causing it and said they would have it taken care of it but now they are avoiding the issue and my calls. read more

What can I say, the experience from start to finish with Crash Champions and their entire staff was bar-none impeccable. From Valerie at the forfront always answering questions and being so polite with everyone, to Lisa with the estimates and always being so accomodating, to Oscar overseeling the process while the car was being repaired to ensure that the repairs were done to perfection, I can honestly say that I will be referring anyone and everyone that I know that would be in need of their services. Thank you so much for making our experience so note worthy. Thanks again! Joe B. read more

Please think twice about going to this place. The customer service and any communication are lacking at this place. Most importantly, The quality of work they have done is terrible! Oscar and his team are phenomenal in every aspect of the repair process. From initial inspection, to the final result, you can expect perfection, at a reasonable price. Beyond happy with the service I received. They came in at less than half of what others wanted. They didn't repaint sections they felt they could repair for far less. They treat you right, and don't just treat you like a bank account. Will be back next time I need any body repair! read more

Excellent Service! This shop works directly with GEICO. Pick up and drop off of a rental is taken care of onsite. They updated me via text and phone while my vehicle was being repaired which I loved! Thank you, Crash Champions for your excellence in Customer Service!! If I ever need car repairs again- you are where I'm coming! read more

I would stay away from this place!!! Quote was for new parts then they opt to repair old parts to run up labor cost to increase the profits. Zero communication about the change until you pick up the car. Very disappointed to say the least. read more

I cannot say enough good things about the people at Crash Champions!! They were recommended by a friend to have my car fixed after a rear-end accident. Juan was very helpful in explaining each thing they were looking at & how prices may vary depending on what they find. He was also great about staying in touch with me as the work progressed so I'd know when we could get the car back. One of the best things was their ability to repair, rather than replace, some parts, with the caveat that they gave a lifetime warranty to any work they did. Oscar was also wonderful, as was the woman who ran the front office (I cannot remember her name!), & I will definitely go there in the future if needed! read more

I recently was in an accident and had option to either go with Collision King recommended by the insurance company, or another local company I didn't know anything about, but had 5 star Yelp review rating. I'm so glad I went with you guys. Mr. Juan Lopez was very courteous and professional from the time I rec'd the estimate, kept us informed of the progress, and worked hard to make sure everything was going to be covered by the insurance company. I was very glad that replaced parts were all OEM, even when insurance company did not approve OEM, he was able to call the local dealer for OEM parts that would be price matched. Car was detailed and like new....Mr. Lopez and the Crash Champion Team, thank you for taking good care of us. We were very pleased with final outcome of the repairs and will do what I can to recommend your company to others. Thanks again! read more

Do not go to Crash Champions! I dropped my car off, and yes, I signed a waiver that said they were not responsible for anything lost or stolen out of my car. I needed a tow hitch installed on my SUV but the bolt holes where it attaches to the frame were rusted and needed to be re-threaded.
