Wonderful environment , very contemporary with clear and modern decor . Very friendly staff with great menu selection . Is a tapas concept so all dishes are small sizes . For one person 3 dishes should be sufficient . Great cocktail selection and bartenders are able to make any other cocktail not listed . Great views from the restaurant read more

Beyond impressed by this place. They've only been open for a few weeks but you wouldn't know it. Everything is on point. Friendly service and attentive enough but not overly so. The decor is awesome and it was definitely built with acoustics in mind which bodes well for all the music. We made reservations and sat in front of the stage. Around 10, they had live music and the band was amazing. We started with the cornbread skillet which was to-die for and ended with the oh-ohs which were also amazing. If you haven't checked this place out yet, do it soon! I have a feeling it's going to be a must-eat in Austin shortly. read more

It was my first time in Austin and I was recommended Geraldine's by a friend which I was not disappointed! Danielle was our waitress and the service/recommendations were great! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town, no doubt. read more

First, let's note that these 4 stars I gave should really 4 and a half star! Setting: I went there on a Thursday at sundown and it wasn't too busy. It was really dark inside with mellow music playing and would be great for an intimate setting. I saw space and instruments for a band so I can imagine it gets loud sometimes. There are a couple of tables outside by the hotel pool. The restaurant is on the 4th floor of the hotel so you get a beautiful skyline view of the sun going down (which is who I chose to have dinner at 7 pm) it was a little louder outside there were still some people at the pool. There is bar seating available inside, and a bar outside but no seating. Food: the food was delicious, but a little pricey given that the portions are more like tapas. For certain items however I think the price is justified ( premium ingredients like crabs and octopus) I had the grilled octopus which was just exquisite! My second entree/tapas was an open face pulled crab sandwich with pickled onion which I'd give a 7/10. I had two Moscow like that were pretty strong but tasty. I took half a star off because there just weren't a lot of menu options and for the crab sandwich.my total bill was $74 (one grilled octopus, one crab sandwich and two Moscow mules minus tip) Service: service was just great! My server was very knowledgeable and I was being check on regularly by any server that would pass by. Kids (I'm not even sure if they're allowed): I really wouldn't recommend bringing kids because of the limited menu options, but if I were to bring kids I would seat them outside because inside us just too dark! read more

I had a wonderful meal at Geraldine's. I went there because I was staying in the hotel, but the quality of the food was a surprise. The short ribs were excellent. I did not care much for the shrimp hush puppies, but the meringue dessert was lovely. read more

--This rating is for the bar and venue--- I went here with a friend to check out a performance (by Stella Cottrell) which was absolutely phenomenal. Stella had incredibly clean vocals and the live music really changed the whole place's vibe. I would highly recommend swinging by Geraldine's when live music is a-happening because it really improves your experience. The bar drinks were kind of steep but you're definitely paying for the unique ambiance and the experience, I'd think. We didn't get anything to eat because it was pretty late at night, but the menu had quite a few selections we were both interested in (again, a little pricey). Based on what we saw, it's a place you'd probably go for the vibe and live music and a light snack/drink, not somewhere you'd venture if you're actually hungry (because money). Super unique place with a swanky feel. read more

We went there for lunch. Service was ok, but well short of great: our waiter had to do too much running back to the kitchen for missing this and that. Prices are low to mid teens which is fine for lunch dishes. Food was decidedly underwhelming. 1. The French roast coffee was unacceptably weak. 2. The salad was ok, but had zero to lift it above ordinary. 3. Soup was served at a temperature that we were not sure if it was supposed to be a cold soup. It was not, so we sent it back for heating. 4. Soup did not come with any bread, which would have to be a separate side order. On the other hand, you can have a good view of the beautiful people splashing about in the hotel pool. read more

This was a wonderful experience all around. Service impeccable, food delicious, beautiful space, live music, and great cocktails. Located on the 4th floor of a hotel located off Rainey Street, you get a killer view while seated for dinner and are later able to keep your night going with a recap at any number of patio bars downstairs and around the block. Let's talk about Gary, the nicest and most informative waiter. He was pleasant and attentive and treated us with amazing hospitality. He helped make our meal a 5 star experience. Celebrating a late Valentine's night with my boyfriend, Gary made sure every moment was a treat and felt like a celebration. The night was a romantic success. The food is served as small plates, which allows you to order a number of dishes trying anything from squash with ricotta to ossobuco an grits. Those ceviche tacos are a must! It was hard to pick from a list of deliciously describes items, but do take it easy because dessert is a must have. Try it all because one dessert is not enough. Take it from me, we had two! Rich and both accompanied by homemade ice cream. Salty and sweet was the theme. Perfect combo! This place is not to be missed! Sit at the bar, get a few dishes and listen to live music or make it a long, wonderfully romantic meal and enjoy every bite! read more

Excellent food, great drinks, and wonderful service! Gary with one 'r' is the best server there, he made us laugh, had the best suggestions and was so friendly. Normally love Geraldine's anyway, but he truly gives it that extra star. Highly recommend! read more

So, this place is good but has an issue like most hotel and rooftop bars in that it is mismanaged and understaffed. Our server "pops" by our table several mintes after we arrive (a reservation for the patio was made perhaps weeks in advance) and asks if we have waited long or if we need anything. This is a red flag. Although they seem to have numerous support staff walking around their jobs seem so specific that they are unable to do anything but the one thing they are charged with. I waited perhaps 10 or 15 minutes after my first cocktail was finished and left my girlfriend at the table, apologizing for leaving our date, so that I could order a drink at the bar. Our server was so pressed that he kept his head down and remained singularly focused the whole time. Of course he showed up at my table after I was waiting at the bar and made a crack when I returned about how I left the bar without grabbing my drink. For the record I was headed there to grab it after a few seconds away to explain to my girlfriend what was happening. The bartender was backed up too. This was a Tuesday evening so I cannot imagine the wait when they are packed but I won't have to. It isn't that great. We skipped the entree because of the drink debacle and opted for two desserts which were good and came out promptly. Gin and tonic was plain and poorly executed, as were others but the Mr. ROBOTO IS SPECIAL. That's all. Rooftops are for tourists but I scratched off a date item on our list. read more

It's hard to put into words how underwhelming this restaurant is. The goat is raw. The gnocchi had no flavor. KFC has better fried chicken. Staff was friendly and removed the goat from our bill since we were unhappy with it. The atmosphere is very nice. Just a very odd menu that isn't executed well. And was too over priced for what you're getting. Plates are very small. read more

To whomst it may concern, Anabel did not provide the best service however the atmosphere and food was great.

Expensive!!!! Small plates...that are shareables. Hard to share small portions. $250 for 3 people with drinks. Service was not great. Food plates rushed to the table by multiple delivery runners...that didn't stop to ask if all was ok. Mostly if you needed something had to wait for your own waiter. Bar was slow on delivering drink orders. So drinks didn't match with the rushed food services. read more

I had brunch here and it was literally the best brunch I've ever had, and I've had a lot of brunches. My boyfriend and I got an omelette, roast potatoes, and french toast. I've had friends come here for dinner and had a mediocre experience but lemme tell you about BRUNCH. The french toast. GIRL. It was crispy on the edges, the perfect texture on the inside (not soggy, not dry), and had the perfect amount of toasting. It was buttery and hot and sooo good. The candied pecans that came on it were delicious too. The omelette was also really good. (To me it's like, how good can an omelette even be? It's just egg). It was delicate but not flavorless. Such a nice balance of cheese and butter and salt. THE POTATOES. They were SO GOOD. LIFE CHANGING. Crispy, the perfect texture on the inside, perfectly seasoned. Not too salty, not too bland, had some good garlic/chili/onion or some sort of herb and spices on it. The ambience was great, the price was good, the food was AMAZING. read more

Amazing band Aaron Stephens, great food (Cuban Benedict) , and the best waitress Morgan Flowers. 10/10 don't mess this up

Every time we dine here we love it. I love the ambiance and decor and the live music is great too. Some of my favorites are the pork ribs / short ribs, Cauliflower, beets, farm fresh salad, and redfish. Oh the scallops were super tasty too! The service is usually pretty good but we have had one bad server a few times...the other things make up for his rude attitude though ;) read more

I came here for New Years Eve. I was excited by the reviews and the speak easy style atmosphere. The view of Lady Bird Lake was great in the lounge area and we could see the fireworks from our seats. The lighting was romantic and warm. I ordered a variety of items off the menu with my group. All of them were tasty and well seasoned. The Fermented Chile Hush Puppies, Curated Meats, Barbecued Short Rib, and Fried Chicken were all great but small. The down side of our experience was the energy level of the bar after 10 pm. The music was slow paced the entire evening. I would have expected this during the dinner hours but the dinning area had been closed for some time.. The band (Drew Davis) could have considered the environment and the evening by adding energy and festivity to the show. I was disappointed that this was our choice for NYE as I was struggling to stay awake till midnight based on the mood. read more

the restaurant is nicely decorated as the rest of the hotel with a swanky vibe. Food was good but not amazing, the carrots dish and the beets dish were our favorites by far. Service was good overall. This is a place to uber to, walk to or take a can to get there. No parking on your own, only valet service available and it is super slow. Use the $16 for an uber/lyft instead. read more

The food is amazing and very unique, but ridiculously overpriced. One example from our meal last night: a $28 wagyu steak that was literally 6 tiny bites. At most restaurants, a steak of that price would be enough for an entire, filling entree. Come for a special occasion when you feel like being extravagant. But know that you will be spending a lot of money on a lot of different dishes just to get enough food to feel full. read more

We had our 30 year HS reunion downtown and a friend and I ate dinner at Geraldine's before going to the reunion. We were both in food heaven! Creative, delicious, great atmosphere! We had the ceviche tacos first. Incredible! The shells were thin crispy chicken skin. Then we got the carrots, the short ribs and the fondue. Everything was heavenly! The short ribs were tender, not fatty and had carrots, cucumber and a little mint. Love the shared plate thing. The wine was really good too. I will definitely be back! read more

Food was great, but the manager has serious customer service issues. We had a large party that they agreed to seat, the restaurant was barely 3/4 full, and we felt extremely unwanted until she finally disappeared. Had a great experience last night, one of my favorite date spots we have discovered so far in Austin. Shoutout to Keith, awesome service :)

Fantastic food, drinks and ambience! The live music is incredible. The lead male singer had a front row of beautiful ladies sitting there in complete admiration of warm, sultry swooning voice! The female singer was just as equally amazing! read more

One of my favorite spots downtown continues to impress! The short rib and grilled quail were great as usual; and the market salad was a very nice surprise. I am not a salad guy, but the miso prrserved lemon was excellent with the sesame bark gave the dish a lot of life! The Geraldines G&T wasnt on the menu (NYE menu), but they made it for us on request. Service and pace of the delivery was spot on! Ready to make my next trip to Geraldines! read more

It's been 24hours and I am still on a high from our date night at Geraldine's!!! So, it helps that my sweet boyfriend planned a perfect surprise evening...but it far exceeded even his expectations. We went to have dinner and listen to local musician Suzanna Choffel for her last summer gig at the venue. The space is beautifully decorated with wood tones and a modern yet cozy vibe, awesome attention to detail in design throughout the Hotel and Dining area. The dining room overlooks the pool/patio/balcony with a view of the city...we actually saw the famous Austin bats flying around during the first part of our meal. Oh yeah, the food! Oh my, the food! It is hands down one of the best meals I've had in town. It is a small plates style spot, meant to share, and so we ordered several things. All were exceptional, but the Sea Scallops, the Redfish, and the Squash were the big winners of the night. Anyone who can prepare squash in a new and delectable way earns major points. The scallops and then red fish were perfectly cooked and the flavor pairing with each dish was inventive but not too much. All presentation was beautiful. And my man was in love with all the artisanal tequila cocktails on offer! Our dear server Payton was the best! She was the perfect facilitator of our romantic evening, knowing when to engage and when to give us space, she was so sweet and attentive. I was indecisive about wine and she cheerfully brought several to try. We were indecisive about the (infamous) squash and the cauliflower, on her (excellent) recommendation ordered the squash...and then she comped us the cauliflower anyway!! All of this was in an intimate setting with what felt like a private show of one of Austin's best local musicians (Suzanna Choffel, seriously, y'all should check her out). After dinner we walked out to the pool area/balcony for a cuddle while looking at our beautiful city skyline. It was truly a night to remember. Thank you to everyone who made this night feel extra special, I would highly recommend Geraldine's to anyone looking for a great Austin dining experience. read more

Where do I start. Above and beyond, courteous, outgoing, hospitable and the list goes on. Was visiting from out of town during the middle of one of the worst winter storms Austin has seen.. can't begin to describe the level of service we received. They turned what should have been an absolute shit show to a trip worth remembering. Thank you so much for the patience, the courtesy and the dedication to putting not only your guests but community first. I will not stay anywhere else when I return to Austin. Should out to Geraldine restaurant for providing scrumptious food when everything else in the city was closed. Don't second guess.. stay here and you won't be disappointed. read more

Great views, lovely bar! Menu is more of a tapas style and I'd recommend ordering several plates to share. There aren't a whole lot of options for nice dinners around Rainey. Geraldine's offers a great environment with live music and delicious cocktails. The gnocchi and scallops were great, comes with about 6 scallops! Shrimp hushpuppies are a great appetizer. I tried the Motito outside and LOVED IT! read more

location is great, wait staff is friendly but unfortunately the food has no flavor. We had a great experience here. We went for a late dinner and sat at a table in the bar. We had an attentive server who was friendly and made excellent recommendations. I wish I remembered her name. They serve tapas style and the pace made sense. The restaurant is beautiful. We drank wine but they also had a really good cocktail list. read more

The food is just. So. Bad. Ambience fantastic, decor so lovely. Set up w bar in middle just right. Waitress great, friendly, helpful. But then she brings the food and it's just awful. 6/6 dishes were a let down. She even refunded one when we ate a bite and left it. All of this at outrageous prices and paying $20 plus tip to valet. Good luck, Geraldine's. read more

Personally, I went to Geraldines for my mothers birthday and was incredibly disappointed to find that the food was very average especially considering their high prices. We ate here last night for the first time. We were very unimpressed. The beets were okay, the rest of what we got was not tasty. The brussel sprouts were overwhelmingly fishy and undercooked. The flat iron steak was tough and chewy. The potatoes that went with the half chicken were way over cooked and the chicken was boring, the sauce with it did not have a good flavor. On our last day in Austin my friends and I decided to have brunch at Geraldine's. We arrived around 11:30 without a reservation and the hostess, Tori, gave us a dumb look as in "how you could you not know you needed a reservation??". I asked her when the next available table was and she said "12:30, outside". I went ahead and booked it since we weren't in a rush. My boyfriend politely asked, "Is it best if we wait around here in case there's a cancellation and we could be seated earlier?" Tori replied with the dumb look again, "that's unlikely" and went back to her computer. We kept a good attitude and waited patiently. At 11:45 a white couple walked in and I heard them say they were early to their 12:00 reservation. Tori was so sweet to them and said it was no problem to seat them early. At 12:23 I go back up to her and say we're here for our 12:30 reservation. She replies with "yeahhhh I know. It's 12:23 right now. Not 12:30" What. A. B*TCH. Is it because my group was Latino? Is it because you're just a b*tch? Who knows. Another hostess comes to us and seats us and we go about our breakfast. Our server was nice, and the food was good. But Tori's attitude really ruined the full experience for us. She shouldn't be the first person you speak to coming off the elevator. I guess overall it was definitely memorable and we gained a new inside joke. Thanks Tori. read more
