Buttermilk Pancakes 2 Eggs Any Style

Ordered food for delivery with an eta of 30 mins. I would say it arrived on time. The food was good. Only issue is I thought the Nutella French toast was stuffed with Nutella not glazed with it outside. Total was 48$ for Nutella French toast eggs bacon, pancakes with eggs and a bagel with cream cheese. A bit on the pricy side.

If New York had greasy spoons, this would be the perfect restaurant to exemplify it. For a fair price, you get a generous amount of food, that will get you through that late night you had last night, or that early morning owie you so badly need to rid of. It also helps they are close by the Q train, so getting here should not be a problem. In other words, get your coffee or juice, eat your breakfast, and move along.

George's is one of the survivors in a world, unfortunately becoming devoid of that classic diner. Not fancy, reasonably priced, and having great food and service, George's is reminiscent of the classic great-spoon diner. Warm, comfy, and a great neighborhood treasure, George's serves the classics and then some. I came in to grab a great breakfast and couldn't finish my meal for all the food given to me. In a world filled with over-priced brunch spots and bad service, George's is my go to for some good basic classic breakfast that will not break the bank - you'll feel like you're having Saturday breakfast at Grandma's or rather your uncle's place.

Updated Review - 3 years later! I still love George's as much as I did 3 years ago. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. George is always around too. There are some days where all I want is to sit in George's and have some chocolate chip pancakes. Today when we sat for breakfast they handed us a much smaller menu than normal. Although you can no longer order chicken parm at 10am, they are focusing on what they do best in the AM and added so many menu items!! Dinner menu stayed the same but with new items added! Today's order: New Item: Breakfast Panini 2x sunny side up eggs Side of toast Short stack of chocolate chip pancakes Side of corn beef hash We'll be back!!

Brooklyn!! Absolutely loved George's and the little area we stayed in close to our AirBnb. Small, quaint place with lots of atmosphere!! I got the silver dollar pancakes-- so good! Coffee hit the spot! Lots to choose from on this menu I am sure it's all delicious!

Really great classic neighborhood diner, offering extremely fresh food + friendly service. Came by for brunch a couple of weekends ago with my boyfriend and we were told to sit anywhere we liked. We chose a table by the window and was welcomed by a warm, sweet server. After placing our order, she told us we made great choices and she was right! We both tried the Greek Iced Coffee / Frappe ($4.50) which is essentially the same as the quarantine-famous dalgona coffee. We asked for just almond milk in it, no sugar... but we should've asked for sugar. Note to self for next time. As for the food, I chose George's Breakfast Panini ($14.25) which was soo good especially after adding ketchup. The ingredients were just so fresh, and I was surprised that it wasn't overly greasy / buttered up, as you would usually expect from diners. It was light and even felt healthy. My boyfriend went with the Lox Benedict ($17.50) which was just as delicious! I had a few bites and again was in awe of the quality of ingredients. We will definitely be back - maybe for the lunch/dinner options. Their burgers, sandwiches, Greek specialties all look amazing. My only small gripe is that it's a biiit pricey but I suppose for the quality of the food it is worth it.

Solid diner fare with great service and great ambiance. Nothing much to look at from the outside but lots of character once you get inside. Went with my brother and his girlfriend a few days back and feasted on fried calamari, meatloaf. a burger and a Cobb salad. The salad and the calamari were both great and the burger and meatloaf just fine. A bit more expensive than I expected but not too bad. My brother now lives in the area so I'm sure he will be back

Hungry Man Breakfast - pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage and ham (underneath the pancakes)

We have spent A LOT of time at George's in the last year. Because that's what happens when you're pregnant and your cravings are over the place. And because George's is your quintessential diner and they have pretty much everything you need/want on their menu. Items like: + Alllllll the breakfast foods - pancakes here are especially delish. Big, fluffy, everything you want in a pancake. Their Hungry Man Special is something to look at too -- pancakes + eggs + all the meats. No, you don't have to pick bacon or sausage or ham - you get them all. + Burgers - George makes a pretty darn good burger. My fav option is to make my own -- selecting beef/turkey, cheese and whatever toppings you want. Burgers are pretty big and if you order the 'deluxe' then you'll get a generous helping of golden fries, a couple onion rings and all the burger toppings (tomato, onion, lettuce). + Sandwiches, paninis and wraps. My favorite favorite is The Griller. Chicken breasts, bacon, cheese on a squishy bun. Plus all the golden fries and a pickle. Sandwiches, specifically the paninis, are a really good size too. Last time I ordered a chicken cordon bleu panini I could only eat half... Other menu items range from apps - wings & nachos - to salads - to hearty meatloaf with gravy like entrées. I think there's one item I've had at George's that I didn't really enjoy -- the buffalo chicken wrap. Warning - they heat up the chicken and the wrap so the lettuce gets reallllllll soggy reallllllllll quick. Ugh. Some folks may enjoy but I did not. Other bits of info: + Staff at George's is the nicest. Whether we visit mid-day or order late the staff has been nothing but welcoming. + Prices are just right - $6 for pancakes, $10-15 for a sandwich/burger platter, etc etc. - Parking in the neighborhood can be tricky. I suggest trying on the other side of Coney (E 7th or 8th Streets). + Mid-day Geroge's can be pretty crowded...just an FYI. +/- George's isn't a 24-hour diner... they close at 11pm over the weekend. But that's not to say they won't make you a tasty burger if you call up at 10:45pm.

They no longer have the breakfast special which used to include coffee and a small juice. Breakfast eggs come with a potato or grits and toast.

This spot has a handful of tables and while we were there, quite a few to-go orders were picked up as well. Though we were the only diners, so I assume it's more of a breakfast/brunch spot. The menu is rather expansive with options from breakfast to lunch and dinner. After studying the menu, we opted for the Veggie Burger and the Meatball Parm Po'Boy. Our food was ready in about 20 minutes, which seemed a little long as we were the only diners, but we were not in a rush so it was fine. As the restaurant was unassuming, I honestly had pretty low expectations, but we both really enjoyed our meals. It was definitely large portions and really flavorful. My fiance said the Meatball Parm Po'Boy was delicious and I appreciated that the veggie burger seemed to be made in house as it was falling apart (in a good way) and you could distinguish some of the veggies. I ended up only eating about half of my burger and took the rest for lunch the next day and it held up well.

The tres/quatro golpes was also a hearty choice with mangu (mashed plantain), sausage, fried cheese, and eggs. The pickled red onion balanced everything out. The fried cheese is similar to a halloumi but I think it's a bit more flavorful. All the flavors just melt together in your mouth perfectly. The French toast and omelet were good. Apparently there is more than one location in Manhattan. The inside reminded me of a classic diner. Comfy and with a pretty cool vibe. We all slid into a booth and looked over the seasonal offerings along with their standard menu. I was lured by the chicken Kyiv based on the picture of having two rolled up chicken cutlets stuffed with dill and other yumminess, but was a bit disappointment when it arrived with a single small cutlet on my plate with two heaping mounds of potatoes mash and broccoli. I instantly had regret when I should have gotten the borscht soup with pierogies, but wanted to try something I wouldn't usually. I should've stuck to what was safe. My work mom got the stuffed cabbage and that was a clear homerun- really loved the mushroom gravy that it came with. My other colleague got the potato pancake and wasn't too thrilled with it, while my boss got the two Swedish meatballs that he described to be Ikea worthy. Although this was my first time here, I can't say that anyone really loved the food nor would come out of their way to come back. I really was hoping this would have wow-ed me in some way, but I guess I'll stick to what's familiar.

A friend and I each got a soup to start our meal, along with sharing a Potato Pancake. The Matzoh Ball Soup and Potato Pancake were good, but not great. However, I enjoyed the Pork & Cabbage Soup enough to take home a quart. For entree, we shared a Deluxe Meat Plate that was quite delicious. All three pierogi flavors were great, but the short rib was my favorite, followed closely by the mushroom & sauerkraut. I also really enjoyed the grilled kielbasa, but sadly it was served at room temperature. Lastly, the stuffed cabbage is not usually my thing, yet I liked this version. Once again, it was served barely warm. Thankfully, we finished on a high note. My friend really wanted the Challah Bread Pudding, which was moist and tasty. However, the lovely waitress advised us strongly to try the Medovyk. This Ukrainian layered honey cake had a wonderful texture, not too creamy or sweet, with a great walnut flavor. We were extremely happy with her suggestion. We also really liked the diner vibes that felt warm and inviting. This was so close to a five star review. The main reason for the deduction was the temperature of our food being served. Hopefully that problem will be solved on my next visit.
