LOVE this restaurant.. but don't love the outside bartender on the evening of October 8th 2025. I have never seen a bartender work at such a snails pace before. We came to George's for my sisters 23 birthday- (9 of us) got on a hour and 15 minute wait list. Went up the block because we had so much time to kill, but left one of our party behind to be there in case they called our table early.. when we got the text almost 30 minutes early our table was ready, she went in and told the host we were on our way back. They said we had 5 minutes to get there and we pulled in right as she said our time was up not giving us another second later and told us to try again another time. We have visited George's multiple times now during our trips to 30A. The restaurant itself is very, very small but also perfect for sitting outside on a good weather day. The service is always quick, and the waiters are always very informed of what the dishes are if you have any questions. They have a very good mixed drink selection, if you're looking for alcohol, and their beers are priced decently for the area you're in. We went to George's most recently on a night when it was a bit chilly out, but they had heaters going and you could sit outside to enjoy the fresh air while eating dinner. Everything on their menu that we've ever tried has been five-star, elite food. The quality of the food is worth the price. We got dessert this most recent time which was also amazing. I believe their menu changes depending on the season so I would highly recommend visiting multiple times on any trip. You take to 30A. Extra note - it is a kid-friendly setup, if you have young ones that you would like to take. There are some areas in 30A where it's a bit too fancy or uncomfortable to take kids, but this is a good spot for a family. read more

This was my second time eating at George's and overall it was a good experience! I went with my friends for a bachelorette party. We had six people and the wait was about 45 minutes on a Saturday around 8. Food: We got the calamari fries and feta board for appetizers and I highly recommend both. The feta board was definitely my favorite. I got the yellowtail for dinner. While the flavor was amazing, the portion size was truly so small. I think they might have been running out by the time we ate because I had seen photos of the dish before and it looked like a much bigger filet. I swear I had about 5 bites of fish by the end of it. Service: Overall, the service was great. I will say the outside bar was a little bit slow but they only had one person manning it, and she was working as quickly as she could. Recommendations: 5 stars - Peach Bourbon libation, Korean BBQ Fried Oysters , Fettuccine with Shrimp, the seared tuna, and the Caribbean Snapper and the lamb. We lined up about 4:40 and didn't get seated until after 6pm, so if you miss the first seating, prepare to wait. Service was great, however the fly infestation at our table was disgusting. Worrying about flies on your food every second is not the most appetizing way to fine dine. The calamari was still outstanding. The salt and pepper shrimp went from incredible last time to mediocre this time. The snapper was said to be a hit. You can't go wrong with the Goo dessert. We got here 10 minutes before it opened to guarantee a table for our group of 5 since they don't take reservations. There was a small line outside which we joined. We expected the line to move quickly once they opened at 5 since there were only a few groups ahead of us, but 25 minutes later we were still standing on the baking hot sidewalk with zero shade. The hostess seemed to be barely moving to get people seated and we couldn't understand what could be taking so long. Another hostess was just sorting menus and not helping at all, while many staff members stood around chatting. When we finally got to the front of the line, we were told there was a 15 minute wait for a table - despite seeing dozens of empty tables and knowing only 5 groups had been seated since they opened - and we were sent to a holding area with a temporary bar and minimal seating, where we paid $8 for a warm can of Diet Coke. We were finally seated 20 minutes later at a table meant for 4, with an extra chair squeezed onto one side, and half the table in direct sun. Every other table around us was empty so we were really confused why we'd had to wait so long, and why we'd been given a table that wasn't even big enough to accommodate our group. I asked if we could please get a different table since we didn't have room to sit comfortably, and we were reluctantly given a 6-top right next to our original table - one of 8 tables that were still empty. We ate our dinner feeling hot, confused and annoyed, and the food definitely wasn't good enough to justify that wait or the treatment we received from the staff who were dismissive and barely even acknowledged us. I don't know the ins and outs of this restaurant and whether they operate a staggered service when they first open which might explain why they only seated 5 tables ahead of us and then kept us waiting so long despite 80% of the restaurant being empty. They don't take reservations so I'm assuming none of those empty tables were reserved. The whole thing was confusing and frustrating, but a simple explanation or apology for our 45 minute wait would have gone a long way to making things better. As it was, we got nothing, and left (after paying $200 for a meal for 5) wishing we'd gone somewhere else. read more

We came back! My husband and I snuck away just us for dinner. We were able to get a seat quickly because it was the two of us. We sat on the porch, which was a bit warm. But they did have a ceiling fan. It was weird because we sat between two large parties that apparently or together, so that was a bit awkward, but we were wrapping up our dinner so it all worked out. The server was super nice. He went out of his way to make sure he recommended his favorite dishes which by the way we did try. Here we were in Florida and we actually got pork chops instead of seafood. It was a chef special that night and it was so delicious. I ended up getting the servers recommended dish of the shrimp which was spicy and very delicious. we loved coming back and reminiscing about the times before we could not believe how much has been built up around this restaurant we almost drove right past it. We enjoyed a delightful family dinner on the patio at George's during a recent vacation. I was pleasantly surprised to find they had a table for six available when we arrived, as they don't accept reservations. George's is praised for its coastal cuisine, fresh seafood and being locally sourced. It opened in 2008 in Seagrove Beach and moved to a stunning beach cottage in trendy Alys Beach. As this was our first visit, we saw most guests were enjoying wine. But we were happy to learn they have several craft cocktails available each evening. We started with the tuna tartare and the lobster quesadilla. Both were exceptional. Being a big fan of ahi, you can guess which was my favorite. For entrees, the spicy salt & pepper shrimp was calling my name. It is served with charred brussels sprouts, snow peas, melon and basmati rice. It was a large portion perfect for my large appetite. Other diners ordered the Caprese Pasta with shrimp and raved about the bucatini and heirloom tomato pomodoro. Unfortunately with the little people getting anxious we had to depart before having dessert. Kinsey, our server, was a relatively new hire and did a nice job of introducing us to the menu and maintaining good pacing. read more

Many friends recommended George's and boy did it not disappoint! My husband and I arrived for an early dinner at 5.15pm with no wait at all. (For reference we're visiting during Halloween week so not considered "in season"). We loved that our pup was able to join us and was welcomed with open arms! :) We shared the calamari as an appetizer - excellent! For mains we enjoyed the Orchard Salad and the Salt & Pepper Shrimp. Both dishes were incredible! Honestly one of the best salads I've ever had!!! The pepita granola topping - OMG. Honestly so so good! The cucumber Fresca cocktail was also very refreshing and light.
