Came by to check this place out, it has been years since I last ate at Genghis grill probably before Covid. Genghis relocated to sparks location after closing Reno location in south Reno. The restaurant is located next to Raleys and next to SF kitchen. The restaurant is buzzing when I stopped in, I was seated soon after. The staff member was friendly and helpful. The staff briefly gave me a quick run down how it works. The food came out delicious. Fried rice was perfect, it has texture and seasoning on point. The base I had, along with the rice is perfect combination, not to salt ... but bit spicy .

Still soft opening as Genghis Grill is getting everything in place such as fountain drinks and various supplies. I am understanding of their challenges and look forward to visiting again. I asked one employee if I could get their phone number and she didn't know it. It appeared most employees still needed more time to adjust to the new place but I thought they did their best and I wasn't affected. The entire grill was being used with 8-10 orders being made. The orders were kept separate on the grill. I did notice a few charred pieces in my bowl but that was likely my fault as the sauce needs to be kept separate from the ingredients to avoid it to burn. The sauce is added later in the cooking. The restaurant has plenty of chairs and tables so it can accommodate a larger group. Wishing Genghis Grill much success in their new location.

Great bowls. I'm really sad they no longer have the options they used to have, but still really good food.

The noodles and other toppings I had and the seasoning makes up, for it. The noodles are savory. I mixed the fried rices into the noodles, since the fried rice lacks flavoring and it's wet. Fried rice needs texture and little less water. The place is dead quiet, possibly 4or 5 family around. I was briefly seated, the wait staff brought my water that's the only interaction I had the wait staff through out the night. Service could been better. Other than bringing the food and water. After trying this place, I'm not sure if I want to try again.

SIU Korean barbecue is solid Korean barbecue restaurant. I've come here many times over the years…read moreand appreciate the authenticity of the menu and experience. The menu is full of cups of meat and not found at the other KBBQ restaurant and generally speaking quality is there on all of it. We enjoyed the birthday celebration here the other night, and discovered a few new favorites, including the pork GALBI, which is delicious, sweet, tender cuts of lean pork marinated in the sweet sowing which grows up wonderfully and delivers a nice char. I also am a huge fan of the Sydney slice of beef tongue that cooks chicken. Did that in a little bit of sesame oil salt or add a bit of the seasoning spice from your condiment tray and throw that in lettuce or radish wrap, and you are set. They also offer a couple of specialty cuts at dinner only like the thousand stripe and premium GALBI, which is a crosscut beef short rib. I personally think their short rib is the best in town as it comes out nicely marinated and extremely tender with just the right amount of fat versus some of the others that I've tried which have a substantial amount of fat versus meat. There was also a specialty cut of fatty pork that I cannot remember the Korean Nemo, but that took a long time to cook, even though it was in sliced, but then result was this delightfully crispy piece of meat that could be eaten on its own or added to another wrap that you were creating and was quite enjoyable. The reason for decreasing into four stars is just service. That's where the other KBBQ has this place beat. Part of a we were seated at two tables right next to each other and for some reason, it seemed one table received more attention than the other and after a point it seemed that the server just stopped coming back altogether, and they also forgot items multiple times throughout the meal left water glasses on filled and didn't clear place on the act. Normally not a big deal but you're consuming so much as a larger party and you're dealing with brought meat. You are putting your diners at risk for not helping to make sure that we maintain a clean and sanitary dining experience. Even to the end of the meal, the server did not come back to see if we wanted to order more food or bring us a check and I had to get up and go to the front to ask for it. Lastly, I was shocked that they did not have any hot sake in the restaurant to order nor did they offer any type of dessert either included or for purchase. We came to celebrate a birthday and can't be the only people that stop here for special occasions, so I would assume that there are people that want that when they're dying here and it was just surprising to hear that. Again, this is a great Korean barbecue spot and then I will certainly return to you and hope that the service experience improved so that the dining experience overall is that much better.

Yelp Elites Michael T and Kathy B are right about the meat sweats!! It's been a few weeks since we went so I can't recall all of the meats we tried, but the spicy pork belly is one I remember as it was delightful. The kimchi stew is INCREDIBLE, and I enjoyed the banchan a lot. Depending on where you sit, either a server or robot cart with a cute face will deliver your food and drink. I'm generally anti-robot, but these are adorable! The ambiance is nice, but prepare to get pretty smoky. They do a great job of swapping grills often to prevent some of this, but smoke happens. Definitely will be back in the future!

The staff are always warm and welcoming, and each greeted us "Hello" when we walked in. The Chinese buffet the usual fare of beef chow fun, fried rice, sui mai, an assortment of steamed baos, fried shrimp, beef broccoli, Singapore style noodles, salt-and-pepper fried chicken wings, potstickers, sweet-and-sour pork and General Tso's chicken, plus a huge variety of freshly made sushi, soups, salads and desserts, and their made-to-order Mongolian BBQ section. All the food tasted great, everyone was able to choose something they liked from the restaurant's vast selection of entrees. I was really pleased that the restaurant had started slicing their sushi thinner, that way I can sample a variety of the food but not get full too quickly but more importantly, not waste food. Overall, our visit to Wong's Genghis Khan has been consistently positive because the food is always satisfying but best of the service is always pleasant and friendly; the staff here is just the best!

Food here is decent, not great but good and worth the buck you pay for (which is not a lot so I guess you get what you pay for) But after what I saw and experienced today, I will not be coming back. As we were eating lunch, we noticed one of the staff chopping veggies in front of the bar (not inside of the bar) but outside of the bar where everyone walks by. No shield protecting her workspace and also no gloves for this one worker (wearing black in pics), and get this, as she was chopping I saw her drop a couple of mushrooms on the dirty floor.. she looked around, and hurried to pick them back up then CONTINUED TO CHOP THEM... did not throw them out or wash them but put the dropped dirty mushrooms back on her workspace/cutting board. So gross and so unsanitary!!! Come on!!! Then there's another worker (in a jean colored top). Now she wore gloves! BUT did not wear them appropriately. She wore the SAME GLOVES as she sat people down to their table, take peoples order w a paper and pen that came in and out of her pocket, to clean tables handling a dirty rag and cleaner bottle and to serve drinks as she scooped out ice and poured every one's drinks and USED THE SAME GLOVES TO HELP THE OTHER WORKER CHOP THE VEGGIES. This is how people get sick and I wish more employees who decide to work in the food industry are more considerate of other peoples health. You just can't and shouldn't handle food like that. Please educate yourself and your staff.

Every piece of chicken I encountered across several dishes did not taste fully cooked, were lukewarm, and seemed off-putting. My wife encountered many pieces of crab discolored, foul smelling, and spoiled. The eggrolls were old and uncooked in the middle, etc. I tried to only eat what I felt was edible which was maybe the sesame balls and fried rice (which definitely tastes days old). Despite avoiding most of the food I still got a bit of food poisoning and was sick and throwing up all night. Everything tasted old, stale, cheap, and unsafe. I honestly don't think you can get your value even if you could tolerate and enjoy what was offered. I honestly can't think of very many positives. The service wasn't remarkable, but not poor. I'd be very surprised if this place lasts much longer given the quality of food and value offered.
