Small burger

After hearing neighbors rave about the caramelized onions I finally ordered from Geneva's. The burger was just okay. I'd like more meat and less bun. The taste of the pickle over powered the beef. This is likely a once and done for me.

Curb-side only. No dine-in. No carry-out. I visited for the full slider experience. The sliders are excellent, but I was left wanting the olfactory and aural experience. Minus one star. The onions are fully caramelized. The pickles are fresh, crisp and tart. The white bread bun does a terrific job of sucking up all the tasty grease. Eastpointe is seriously inconvenient for me, but I am glad I visited and will return whenever I am in the area.

So, I've hit just about every slider joint in De-Twa....or so I've thought...until last Friday. Being back in town and having a buddy with me from NM, we decided to all stop in here before heading up north. Wise choice! I went with the double slider & Fries lunch special and (1) Coney on the side....wow....amazing. The food is spot on, fresh and delicious. The place was also spotless - and for a slider joint, practically Smithsonian-Like. My humble apologies for not capturing a picture of the sliders, but rest assured, they were heavenly. Well done!

Okay the burgers are good and they are definitely unique with their caramelized onions. Fries are kind of meh and they give you sooo many of them. I end up tossing them. I look forward to trying the breakfast here too.

Didn't end up eating here, as it is carry out only. Looks like a classic burger joint, maybe another time ..

Only taking call in orders. What a waste of gas and time. They bring the food out to your car. No walking in orders accepted. WTF

And you can get them to grill whatever you order right in front of you. To top it all of the atmosphere is an experience. Like walking into a NY deli in the 70s. I highly recommend to anyone in the area. And worth the trip if you are not from the area.

The inside has an old-school diner vibe, which could be charming, but the overall experience didn't quite match. Staff interaction was neutral--not unfriendly, but not particularly welcoming either. My husband ordered the Lynne sandwich and I had the Adele, along with a bowl of matzo ball soup. The soup was definitely the highlight--flavorful and comforting--but at nearly $9 for a bowl, it felt overpriced for what you get. Unfortunately, the sandwiches didn't live up to expectations. The meat was piled in the center of the bread, leaving the ends with little to nothing in each bite, which made them feel poorly constructed and just overall mediocre. We were also surprised by the number of upcharges--extra for toasting the bread, extra for grilling, and even a 3% fee for using a credit card. It all adds up quickly. For two sandwiches and a shared soup, our total came to just over $40, which felt steep given the quality. It's disappointing because we wanted to like this place, but the high prices just didn't align with the food or experience. Unfortunately, we'll likely be crossing Uncle Harry's off our list.

I was a bit annoyed by the people standing in front of the counter as if that was going to get them called faster. I had to go down the aisle to talk to the lady when my number was called because some dude wouldn't budge. (Not the fault of the business of course). The staff was so nice and gave me suggestions on what to try. The service was excellent. For sandwiches, we tried the Italian and prosciutto. The meats were really good. Unfortunately, the oil and herbs wasn't on my husband's sub, and I think they accidentally put mild peppers instead of hot. 3/5 I learned you come here for the baked goods!!!! I tried the tiramisu, cannoli, and got an old fashioned donut for my hubs. I had a harm time choosing what delectable sweet to take home. The tiramisu was stellar. 5/5 I wish the front had a little less wine and a seating area to have a donut and coffee. It's not that kind of place to sit down and have an espresso, but still a very cool spot. They have an online order option which I'll try next time.

I am a little "specialized" in my order & this location always gets it exactly right. Generous portions as well, so you taste more than just the bun. As for customer service, again, this is one of the best locations, in large part due to the interpersonal skills of manager/franchise owner, Dawuan. (Hope I spelled that right!) Always greets you by name, which is a small touch, but makes a difference. The service combined with the quality and deliciousness of their subs makes this top notch.

Food wasn't as expected, service wasn't as expected, restaurant alarm was going off an no one working there seemed to care and it just left a bad mark on the Jersey Mikes name for me. When I arrived, I was greeted by a gentlemen that worked there who was obviously irritated to be there. The order I placed was my usual, the Jersey Shore. This man proceeded to slice the thinnest cuts of meat I have ever seen, I'm talking see through thin and place them on my sub. While trying to move to the next station to add my toppings a loud alarm sounded off, so loud other guests were using their hands to plug their ears, I had to shout to let him know I wanted my sub "Mikes way." No one working there even looked remotely concerned or tried to explain to every guest waiting what the alarm meant. And the beverage station was filthy, soda everywhere and dirty napkins. Just not a great representation of what Jersey Mikes should be. I attached my photo of the Jersey Shore I ordered.
