My husband and I stopped in here a couple weeks ago and had a great experience. Our server did an amazing job, checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. Loved my eggs Benedict . The hollandaise sauce was excellent, I loved that it was plated so nicely and that they used actual Canadian Bacon not just ham. The potatoes were good, very nicely seasoned. The waffle my husband ordered was great. Really loved the fresh apples and that it wasn't overly sweet. So beautiful and clean inside. You can tell they take pride in that. Our waitress was really nice and cheerful. Coffee is Great Lakes brand and was very tasty. My husband got Eddie's Breakfast Tacos and he said it was pretty good. It was full and they weren't stingy. I had the pear omelette and the contrast between flavor was good. The interior is bright and welcoming. Definitely a nice upgrade from the nostalgic Big Boys interior. Service was good. It was fairly busy, but we were seated right away. While the service was a bit slow, it was not an issue. Our waiter checked in as often as he could, was polite and friendly, all while multitasking. Onto the food. It was overpriced and underwhelming. I got the veggie scramble and added turkey sausage. The omelette was dry and overcooked, while the mushrooms and veggies were hardly cooked, and crunchy while also tasting watery. Not a great combination. Nothing had seasoning, no salt, pepper, just bland. I would not have known the turkey sausage was in there, except I saw it chopped up in tiny tasteless bits. The breakfast potatoes that came with the omelettes were pretty good. No toast comes with it. The espresso I got was good. My dining companion got a caramel latte which was incredibly sweet. Located in the old Big Boys. Allison is waiting on us. Inside looks bright, warm, open and welcoming. Ordered a hot mocha, added caramel and green tea, farmer's market Benedict, avocado turkey burger, added: combo cheese, fried egg, caramelized onion and a peanut butter pump smoothie. $52.89 There were unfortunately no onions on my turkey burger and the egg wasn't over hard, it was maybe over medium. There was a random bacon piece on my plate too. Odd. The turkey burger was good, even without the onions and the undercooked egg. The chipotle sauce was good. Glad I got the pickled jalapeño to give the turkey burger more kick. My mother enjoyed her mocha and her farmer's Benedict. The egg was perfectly poached for her. I have driven by several times since the change over from Big Boy and was intrigued by the beautifully refreshed outside transformation. After my visit this weekend, I can sincerely tell you that everything from the charming decor, cozy ambience, to the fresh and flavorful nutritious-forward menu, they've successfully hit all the marks for a perfect brunch/breakfast/ lunch spot! We were immediately welcomed in and seated by Ralph, one of the owners and for being first timers, he truly made us feel like family. His sincerity and passion for his business is one of the biggest standouts for me when it comes to small businesses. I love when owners are hands-on in their restaurant and really support the team, as it makes the experience so much more genuine. He came over during our meal and spoke to us about the inspiration behind the dishes and I was interested to hear that their first location is in Tempe, Arizona. He explained that his mission was to bring some Southwestern flavors into their restaurants here in metro Detroit. He offered us a sample of the nitro cold brew which is delicious for an iced coffee lover! The menu offers a variety of fresh selections from omelettes, breakfast burritos and tacos, benedicts, sandwiches, to homestyle waffles. I was impressed by the variety of beverages featuring Great Lakes Coffee Co. products, mimosa and martini flights, espresso martinis, and fresh fruit smoothies. They have 8 different juice selections for you to create-your-own mimosa flights, with unique flavors like pomegranate and prickly pear! Everything is made with fresh, local ingredients, and I could taste the quality in every bite! Their waffles are the absolute best I've ever had. They prepare them in a special griddle, cooked quickly at 2 minutes and 30 seconds, creating this warm, pillowy soft delight and served with real maple syrup- the ultimate classic comfort dish! I ordered the sunshine bowl with bacon and added avocado. We also ordered the truffle omelette. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and was the perfect combo of flavors. Went to Daily Jam today for the first time and was very happy with everything.. Had the Farmers Market Benedict .. highly recommend it! My daughter had the Breakfast Tacos.. also excellent. The potatoes are perfectly seasoned and our server was extremely pleasant!! I'm a bit torn on what to rate this place. If 3.5 stars was an option I'd probably have gone with that, but rounded up to 4. I've been here multiple times, both with my husband and kids and with friends and have tried multiple items on the menu. The service has been great and the decor is beautiful (hard to tell you're in a former Big Boy). Everything we've tried has been pretty tasty and there are some creative menu options but overall I feel like the food is overpriced in comparison to similar restaurants for what you get. Even a simple change like including a few pieces of toast with their omelettes and breakfast bowls would make me feel like I was getting more for my money, but instead it's a $4 extra charge for toast which seems steep. I also paid $4 to add "eggs" to my avocado toast and ended up getting a single over easy egg so maybe they need to change their menu description on that. While I will continue to go back here, it won't be on the top of my list with so many other local options where I feel like I can get more bang for my buck. read more

Have been once with mixed results so far. Nice, professional server. Interior was beautiful. As for my food, sorta meh. Ordered scrambled eggs & asked to add feta. Upcharge & they didn't put the feta INSIDE the eggs, but cold, unmelted feta on top was not good. Cooled the eggs off too. I asked for "very, very crispy bacon. The drippy stuff on my plate was not close. I reminded my server who sweetly apologized & came back shortly with brittle, black strips that shattered when bitten into. Did I insult the fry cook? Toast was dry & unbuttered. The ice cold butter did not melt & didn't help. OJ was ok. All together my check was over $30. So, yeah, I agree with the "overpriced" comments. Not busy when we stopped by. Mid morning. Omlette was okay. Tacos iffy...need avocados on them or something. I ordered an original Bloody Mary and waitress never put that order in . Food took FOREVER AND I DIDN'T GET MY BLOODY MARY UNTIL AFTER we got out food and the waitress tried to play it off like I didn't order it. First time here and definitely not the last! The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. I'll admit I ended the meal by dumping my drink all over myself -- and the staff made me feel like it was absolutely no big deal. That's the kind of place this is. You feel right at home from the moment you walk in. And the little details matter here -- every single seat at the bar has its own hook and phone charger. Someone thought this through! I struggled to give 4 stars. 3.5 would be more accurate. The layout is almost the same as the old Big Boy that used to be at this location. Very clean and updated decor. Kudos to flooring that does not appear to be a fall hazard. The server was professional and attentive. They are aiming for upscale, but miss in a few places. I say this with the goal of giving helpful advice the owner should consider. I love the bar area with the two high tops. But, please get foot bar attachments. Also, give the wait staff tasting sessions for all menus items. They need to be well informed about all consumable items a customer will enjoy. This also gives you insight into what items should not be invested in. As for my food, the coffee was good. Bacon was average. The farmer eggs Benedict were slightly undercooked, but I did love this preparation overall. The potatoes were prepared well. The hot sauces on the table helped amp up my personal enjoyment. May 2, 2026 me, and my daughter came in for the first time to eat at this place, and we was highly disappointed. She ordered for her one year-old baby, a Mickey Mouse, pancake with a side of bacon and oranges. The waitress that served us was not listening to our order. She brought over some turkey sausage which we were charged for and some scrambled eggs which we did not order and she was not clear on what came with the Mickey Mouse pancakes or we didn't come with it. We was highly disappointed and very dissatisfied why would we order all the school with my child has one years old we had to came out we paid the bill and our orange juice was late and it came after the service we will not be returning thank you. I only had the breakfast but its similar to something you would get at a free breakfast buffet you get in hotels with instant eggs, nasty Canadian bacon (McDonalds Canadian bacon better), tea with no flavor but prices expensive. I met a friend for lunch here today. The atmosphere is greatly improved since it was a Big Boy restaurant. We were able to have a great conversation because the acoustics were suitable. Some restaurants are noisy and it's hard to hear. However, I did not enjoy my meal. I ordered the d'anju pear omelette. It was very dry. I don't think there was enough cheese on it. Just three super skinny slices of pear were placed across the top. Along with a few slivered almonds. The bacon was those little chopped up bacon bits. The waitress asked if I wanted the potatoes, I responded with what other options do you have. She said I could get one pancake instead. I asked if the syrup was real maple syrup. She said yes. After my disappointing meal I found out that I was up charged $1.99 for one pancake and $1.79 for the syrup to go on it. My bill was $22.04 for the $13.99 omelette and water. I don't think I will be coming back. I wouldn't be so upset if I was told about the up charges. My waitress made it sound like an option. $3.78 for one pancake... hum. Let's start with the positives: Great Lakes Coffee Roasters coffee, a local (to Arizona where this place is based) hot sauce that was super tasty, an amazingly friendly waitstaff, and a pleasant atmosphere (no sign of Big Boy here.) Sadly, that is pretty much where the positives end. The menu appeared fairly reasonable considering today's economy, but finding out the omelettes did not come with toast was pretty surprisingly; especially so when it's a $4 upcharge to add it on. Now that my $15 omelette suddenly became $19, the bar was certainly raised on my expectations. When it arrived, it literally had ONE slice of portobello inside it (I'm not kidding), and three more slices laid out on top of it. The button mushrooms mentioned on the menu were nowhere near to be found, nor was the truffle oil. As for the swiss cheese, it was a good quality, but appeared to consist of one half slice laid out on top of the omelette. Needless to say, this was beyond disappointing and quite flavorless. My husband faired better with the Chilaquiles, but these too had an uncharge for the chorizo (which would have been fine if there was a decent amount included-and there wasn't.) The mimosa flight was a relative bargain, and very good. It definitely helped our rather middling breakfast adventure here. The super friendly staff also helped, but they could only do so much. I mean, when you bill yourself as a breakfast/brunch place, you should excel at it, and sadly this place did not. One final thought; there appeared to be two manager/owner type gentlemen hanging around during our visit. They never once interacted with a single patron, nor did they seem attentive to what was going on in their restaurant. Considering our experience, this seemed quite strange. Interacting and showing appreciation to customers goes a long way, and honestly it would have helped smooth over this disappointing first visit. read more

The restaurant is lovely, but the menu needs work. The prices seem pricey and the offerings are limited. No soup, no french fries. I had a club sandwich. It was ok, but the bottom bread seem non-existent. I actually thought they forgot the bottom. It is served with chips. When the bill came I tried to pay cash and was told, "We round up, is that ok?" We recently tried the Daily Jam on a Sunday afternoon. We were impressed with the updates to the building; it's now bright, open and cheery without being cold or impersonal. We were greeted in a friendly manner by everyone, which is becoming rare in modern life around here. We sat at the bar and the bartender/waiter, Mark, explained the menu, answered our questions and was very attentive. I got one of the breakfast sandwiches, which was good (not great) and my wife got a breakfast burrito, which looked very good and she said was good. Despite the fact the place was crowded, and Mark warned us the food might take a little longer, the food was up fairly quickly. Mark refilled our drinks and was cheery throughout the meal. We both agreed we would return to the DJ to try other interesting things on the menu, including some of the fun-sounding coffee and tee drinks. It was over $40 for the meal, which is high for a breakfast, but it's in line with similar establishments. Like someone else wrote, it would be nice if breakfast places in the GP area were open past 3 p.m., but it is what it is. This is a fun and friendly breakfast/brunch place with an interesting and diverse menu offering "adult" beverages. Toast needs to be truly toasted on both sides and buttered while it's hot. Bringing it to the table as it cools down with hard pats of butter does not make for a great experience. The house potatoes are a bit boring. The gentlemen who was the host and I assume is a manager, had low energy and was not impressive for a front of the house position of this nature. When we asked about beer, they said it hadn't arrived yet -- but they went out of their way to find some that had just come in, which was such a nice touch. We've been twice now, and everything we've tried has been great. Management even stops by to check in, which we love. Only small complaint: the side salad and chips portions are a little small.
