This was a solid breakfast. No complaints about the service, atmosphere or food. We will be back if we're in the area.

I stopped in on a Friday during lent. I was happy to find more than one fish option. The fish & chips were great! The service was excellent. My server was a step ahead of me the whole time. I will be back.

Eggs, meat, hash browns, toast breakfast

Tried for first time breakfast on a Tuesday morning. Not a large restaurant. Lots of diners around 10am. I ordered 2 eggs over easy, Sausage patties, well done hash browns and rye toast. I'm not sure if they made a mistake, but I got 3 eggs, cooked as requested, as were the well do e hash browns. Pleasant surprise that there were 2 nice size sausage patties. My only complaint was the rye toast was drenched in butter. I was really surprised at the bill. Not sure if I got a morning g or senior discount, but it was a few dollars less than menu price. I will be back.

Steaming hot Fish and Chips. Tender, flakey fish with crispy batter dipped fries. Large portion! Had a garden salad on the side.

Copper Penny is opening tomorrow, Sat. 10/23 from 7:00 to 3:00. I love this place! Not only is this the food tremendous, but the ambiance is like a community. This is one treat that I have really missed.

We had a wonderful breaky. Everything was fine... service and food. I think I spent $34 for two... next time I'm doing less a la cart.

I looked around and they were by far the most reasonably priced, friendliest, and most helpful. I told Teresa what I was thinking the tentative menu might be and she helped me with suggestions. We came up with something I really, really liked and it turned out perfectly. She and her staff provided everything I needed: Mushroom chicken, breaded lemon chicken, two kinds of potatoes, pasta, salads, sautéed mixed vegetables, fruit platter, bread, mixed cheeses, pumpkin pies & mini desserts. She included plates, napkins & utensils. For a small extra fee she had someone supply & set up hot food trays with warmers and take them back after the memorial was over. So many of the guests told me how delicious everything was. From the first phone call & text, to the last Teresa couldn't have been more helpful, kind and supportive. If you're looking for a caterer look no more. Give 'em a call. You'll be glad you did.

The Continental is a very nice, elegant and modern restaurant despite being on the grounds of a…read morehistoric estate. I was impressed with the comfortable booths and chairs, the low lit ambience, the views of the lake, the cork-textured menus, the warm greetings from the host and servers, and the diverse food options. It looks like it fills up on the weekends at lunch so definitely make reservations. We started with the popovers. A $6 order comes with four giant popovers with cinnamon butter. Go for it because they are delicious. One of my dining companions had the French onion soup, which was prepared beautifully and also came with one of the giant popovers. The soup needed salt and seasonings but otherwise was well prepared. We also split an order of crab cakes, and were very pleased with them - they were lump crab cakes, with no fillers and were perfectly seared and served on a tomato aioli with a spicy corn salad. I would order the crab cakes again, perhaps as an entree with some soup. For my main dish, I ordered the shrimp and grits. They were delicious and flavorful. The grits had plenty of cheese melted into them and were served with a red sauce and andouille sausage. There were only two shrimp in the dish but they were gigantic, so after cutting up the shrimp and the sausage, I was able to get a piece of meat with every bite despite it being a huge dish. It was very filling, so great to be in a place where I could walk around the grounds after. I noticed while eating that there is a separate room with a view looking out to the lake that appears to be reserved for larger groups (of 10 or 12) and may be private. This looks like a great place to have a small gathering. It's definitely something I'd consider for the future. I highly recommend checking out The Continental and Ford House!

There was a small miscommunication with the hostess about the ability of them to modify one of the dishes. It all worked out well, and we will definitely be back to try some of their other menus.

Had great expectations and couldn't wait to finally go here!!! Unfortunately everything from my…read moredrink, app, meal and service was extremely disappointing. The jalapeño queso tasted like jar queso from Meijer with two sad sliced jalapeños on top. It was cold and the chips straight from Gordon foods were very stale. We told our waiter and asked for hot queso and fresh chips and got back the same dish....Waiter said he'd come back to check if it was better and never did. Probably because he knew we'd say it still was gross. DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON THAT. Our friends got the spinach queso , which was laughable. The same nasty queso we had with some spinach thrown in and same stale chips. For my meal I got the salmon club. What a waste of $20. It came as a triple decker, the top layer had the smallest piece of salmon and my other half didn't have any salmon on top. Suppose to have avocado on it, which it was minimum. And the "crab mayo" was not crab mayo , literally just plain mayo. I took it apart and ate the over cooked salmon instead. My husband got a burger which was dry and over cooked, I've never seen him not finish a burger in my life. On top of it all they "had" to put on 20% gratuity because we had 6 people in our party, ridiculous. Service was so slow for a Tuesday, when it was so dead inside. I can honestly say I'll never go here again or recommend this restaurant. Way better places to eat in SCS.
