My family and I have been regulars to this establishment for years. It's always the place we come to when we don't know what we want to eat. The food is usually good! This time I got one of their seasonal specials; a BBQ pull pork sandwich with coleslaw. The pulled pork was sweet and Smokey, and the coleslaw is always a great addition to the sandwich. The only thing I think could improve this sandwich is if the brioche bun was toasted. The sandwich usually comes with a side of fries, but since I'm not a huge fan of fries I substituted the fries for hashbrowns. Sadly, I forgot to ask for the hashbrowns well done (my bad), but they were still good nonetheless. Overall, it was a normal experience at Ram's Horn. Rama horn used to be the best but it has gone down hill. Greek salad was a mixed bag salad with barely any Greek toppings including Italian dressing. Potato skins were sloppy. We were in the area for a real estate closing and planned to grab lunch at another place we found on Yelp. But when we arrived it looked deserted; that's when we noticed that they're closed on Tuesdays, a little unusual as many places close on Mondays if they are off one day a week. It was properly noted on Yelp so...my fault. Checking Yelp for an alternative, I found this Ram's Horn just a short distance away and still not too far from the closing office. It has been a number of years since we last visited a Ram's Horn restaurant and we remembered that they had reasonable prices and good portions of a variety of dishes. It's tucked away such that we drove past it and had to navigate our way back around through construction but finally figured it out. Upon entering we were met with a friendly greeting, seated immediately, and given menus while our drink orders were taken. Since it has been a while and we chose this location at the last minute we needed to study the menu for a few minutes before we decided. My wife being the healthy eater chose a Grilled Veggie Pita Wrap and instead of Fries subbed for a cup of Chicken Noodle Soup. I decided to try the Ram's Horn Club with Fries (I realized too late that I could have also switched to soup, salad, etc) and added a cup of Split Pea Soup. The soups came out almost immediately and they were hot hot hot...and good. We both liked the Split Pea best; the Chicken Noodle was a bit saltier. The Grilled Veggie Wrap was very nice and tasty with some Honey Mustard sauce on the side. The Ram's Horn Club was also very good; it was basically a BLT with generous slices of Turkey added. The Turkey was a bit dry as real turkey often is but still worth it. The Fries were served hot with crispy outside and soft inside and I'm glad I ordered them, even though I was struggling to finish everything. Overall this was a great alternative choice for us with friendly service (thanks Linda), reasonable prices, decent portions, and tasty food. They do have a few tables for outside dining while the weather still permits. All this and they even offer senior and veterans discounts! Don't ever EAT here! Ordered 4 country bowls and my 16 year old daughter started screaming there's somebody's fingernail in my food. We took everything back since it was a carry out and they actually accused my daughter of putting her nail in it! To top it off they gave a refund for my dinner and only took half off of my daughter's. Horrible quality and poor customer service!! I heard there are new owners here and what a difference this makes!! I ordered my breakfast carry out and when I returned home I found that all the cheese on my veggie omelet had been stuck to paper that they wrapped the bread in!! It was ridiculous! I called to complain and was stuck on hold for over 10 minutes only to be hung up on! I called back and after 5 minutes was told she was the manager who I had spoke with in the previous phone call!! Just had a early dinner here. Place is clean, updated, and nicely decorated. Our server was new but she was very friendly and did a great job. Our food came out fast. We got chicken noodle soup and it was just as you would expect. We both got wraps with fries and we were happy with them. We had to try the ranch and it was good restaurant ranch. My food was cold, I asked for the Parmesan garlic spaghetti that is supposed to come with a meat sauce. And not shrimp with green peppers in olive oil sauce. The garlic bread was barely put together, they just slapped garlic powder on there, and there was hair in my food. I will never come back here again! You also put on your online menu that it has a meat sauce not a Parmesan oil. And it just tasted like straight up olive oil. And you also need to put in your description if it comes with green peppers and shrimp. read more

Wow. Just wow. I've eaten at every single Rams Horn for my entire life, including this one, MANY times. The sign says "under new owners" obviously, this is not a good thing. My wife ordered the Crispy Chicken Salad, it came out with old and cold chicken along with soggy croutons. We told the young waitress with red hair (she never gave us her name) about the salad and that she didn't want it. The waitress said "okay", took it and never returned. For dinner, I thought it would be fun to have Steak and Eggs. I ordered the New York Strip with hash browns (well done), scrambled eggs, and Rye toast. I received a very fatty and choppy ribeye, cold rubbery overcooked eggs, wheat toast, and hash browns that were not well done. Boy - at least they got my ice water correct. When I pointed out to the waitress that this wasn't a NY Strip, she looked like I was speaking Chinese. She took it back to have them cook me what I ordered. Then I tried the eggs, cold to the touch. I sent those back too. I told her not to worry about the toast, as I actually was hungry and wanted to have SOMETHING to eat. Then she returns with what I have pictured. In WHAT WORLD is that a NY Strip?? Seriously, it's clearly not a NY Strip. It was actually ANOTHER even WORSE rib-eye. It looked more like a cancerous tumor from a botched autopsy than a steak. I asked both the waitress, and the very uninterested manager if that looked anything like a NY Strip. Again - more looks of disbelief. I told them they clearly have cooks who don't know what they are doing. Now, they did take my meal off the bill. But I never saw the manager again after she left. The waitress seemed genuinely sorry, but this place has some real issues if the cooks think they can send out garbage like that. I get it, Rams Horn isn't the place to go for a top quality steak. And I wasn't expecting much. But sometimes, breakfast places can strike the mood for Steak and Eggs. And I've had that at Rams Horn in the past, and gotten what I expected. An okay steak with good eggs/potatoes/toast. But this was a complete disaster. When you have $14 steak on your menu, you better make sure your cooks know how to cook it, since it's the most expensive item on your menu. And the manager knew we had issues as she saw the first steak go back. Yet it seemed like she was more interested in playing with the soda fountain than making sure an already disappointed guest was having their issues addressed. We also frequent the Rams Horn on Hoover Rd. There, they are ALL about service, and we've rarely had a quality issue. We'll continue to eat there, but I'm never returning to the Fraser Rams Horn. It's a shame. A few year's back, the Fraser location had much better food and service. It's gone downhill. If you have any questions - just take another look at that supposed NY Strip, and ask if you'd eat it for free, let alone for $14. Freakin' homeless people would toss that thing back in the trash. I mean seriously, did the play Frisbee with it after it came off the grill? Lastly, if your staff of teens/early 20's, both wait staff and cooks, don't know the difference between ribeye and NY Strip - take 5 freakin minutes and TRAIN THEM. Went to the Rams Horn in Fraser for breakfast. The bus boy greeted us, seated us, and poured our coffee. He told us our server would be right with us. After 20 minutes our server arrived after we asked the bus boy where she was?. I seen our server in plain sight just chattering away with another table..Yes 20 minutes worth!. Finally she came, took our order and then our food arrived..Cold! luke warm at best! We gave the bus boy a $5.00 tip, he deserved it. I gave the waitress a 10% tip, which was against my better judgement. In all a $30.00 breakfast with crappy service and cold food. Never again! read more

Ok, Im a little biased... Ill tell you off the bat. Rams Horn (albeit the one at 12/Gratiot) was my first job when I was 15! However, the Rams Horn they opened in Fraser is a stunner. Its the cleanest, nicest, with the fastest service and great servers that you will EVER find at a Rams Horn. And trust me - Im a Rams Horn coneisseur, sad as it sounds. This Rams Horn delivers too!! Its free, if you are within a certain distance. Definite bonus!! What you will find at the Rams Horn in Fraser is a staff and management team that cares about their job and what the place looks like. I know they have some types of entertainment (somebody mentioned Elmo) and I know they had a magician or something come in once in a while for the patrons to enjoy. They also have some unique lunch specials and dinner specials that I do not see at other Rams Horns. The quality of food is much better at this Rams Horn too. One of my gripes about going out to eat is when I order a salad and they bring out some iceberg- white, pale, half frozen - lettuce. Not at the Fraser RH - the salad is amazing: nice romaine and several different types of greens on your plate, mated up with the best ranch dressing in Metro Detroit. I can't see myself rating a Ram's Horn of all places a solid 5 Stars, but it sure does come close. With that being said, my official score is 4.875 Stars. I live not too far from this location and drive by it on a daily basis, but it wasn't until recently that I decided to eat there. The food in general wasn't bad. I had the Fish and Macaroni, or as I referred to it as the "Old Man" meal, and my only real complaint was that the Macaroni and Cheese was just average. It was pretty comparable to the Stouffers frozen variety. The Rice Pudding I ate (again this was my "Old Man" meal) was rich and creamy and a nice way to end my meal. The Service though is were the place shines in my eyes. The lady who waited on me had the best upbeat attitude ever and we kept cracking jokes back and forth the entire time. This didn't seem like "just a job" for her, she enjoyed what she was doing and it showed. Even if the food sucked, I would still probably go back just to have her wait on me again. This might just be my new go to quick meal place especially since they are open 24 hours. read more
