The coffee break Café was a beautiful establishment adorned with artwork across all of the walls. The employee who assisted me today was quite friendly and helped to serve me to the best of their knowledge. Within the restaurant, you will find various food as well as coffee instruments and bags. They also have ample seating as well as a television to watch sports games. Outside of the restaurant there's also some seating that's enjoyable during the warm months. They also have a large parking lot outside of the establishment. For those who need non-dairy options, they offered oat milk for my drink as well. Went to stop by this place at 6:20pm, found out they closed at 6:00pm. As we were walking away, the door opened and we received an invitation to come in and order! That was extremely comforting for us. The inside was gorgeous with nice cafe decor and baked pastries and coffee cookies. The pumpkin spice iced coffee was banging and had authentic pumpkin flavor, much better than chain coffee places. We will be back, thank you Coffee Break! read more

One person was sitting inside on their computer. There were three ladies outside drinking their beverages and talking. I tried something new to me, the Greek Frappe. Stopped here in the middle of a morning road trip for a pick-me-up. Guy working at the front was not particularly friendly. He didn't greet us. I asked him what was popular and he just shrugged and said everyone has different preferences and that was the most that he spoke to us. I rarely go to coffee shops so was hoping for some guidance on what they are known for. But oh well, I didn't want to take it personally. We all ordered different things, none of which were bad, but it was nothing to rave over. I'd maybe give their coffee another chance if I happened to be in the area. One thing to note - don't order a bagel here lol. All 3 of us ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese to accompany our coffee. The bagel almost seemed like they just put it in the microwave? So soggy and they slapped a chunk of cream cheese on it that turned into a goopy mess. Nothing about it was toasted, just extremely hot in random areas (like a microwave). None of us finished it. There also seemed to be a level of annoyance that we ordered bagels. He kept emphasizing that we would need to wait because it would take him a while - which we assured him we were totally fine with. But there was no one else in the store, so I'm not sure why it was an issue for him. I feel like the place itself maybe deserves 3/4 stars (it's cute ambience and not bad coffee) but the customer service and soggy "toasted" bagel knocked this experience down pretty quickly. read more

Truly a well deserved 5 star review! Coffee Break Cafe is about a quarter mile from my house and boy am I happy about that! This is the first coffee shoppe close to me that I've truly loved. So cozy. So welcoming. Great atmosphere. I've been here a few times now and each drink I've gotten I've been impressed. Coffee Break Cafe offers a handful of specialty lattes that you definitely won't be able to find elsewhere. What's even better is every drink can be made hot or cold. Prices are definitely reasonable, too! Small lattes are $3.50. For all the coffee lovers out there, they also roast their own beans (from all over the world!) and offer a large selection of teas too. You can tell the owner takes pride in his work, which is something so rare these days. He's always happy to talk and help you decide on what drink would work for you. I recommend the cherry fudge latte -- It was absolutely AMAZING. The combination of cherry and fudge wasn't too overpowering, yet the combination was perfect. Come in to watch soccer, curl up and study with their free wifi, or just sit and converse with some friends at their large tables. You will not be disappointed! This place is a nice small cozy place, calm atmosphere with sweet, creamy and bitter coffee drinks. The coffee here is amazing, the guy in there was also really nice too. Definitely a must go for all coffee lovers. The minute you walk in and look at their giant menu, you can feel the passion this place has for good quality coffee. I particularly liked the part of the menu that listed drinks with fun names and flavor combinations. It's a great way to try something you might not have thought of otherwise. I had the "nutty squirrel" latte over ice and it was delicious. I think it was coconut and almond? My one suggestion would be to shake it before you stick in your straw, because the flavor syrup was at the bottom of mine so my first sip was sickly-sweet. After I shook it up, though, there was a perfect balance of rich coffee flavor with sweet almond-y goodness. I don't really know much about coffee beans or roasting or any of that [though I enjoy the end result], but I have a feeling the owner does. There were many tubs of beans near the back of the restaurant, so I'm assuming they do their own roasting. If you want to have a chat about coffee, I have a feeling this owner would be able to indulge you. Overall I really like this place and I will be back to try an Americano. This was always my go-to drink in the past, but I haven't found a place since moving to Michigan that can make them well, however I have faith that this place can. read more

Wouldn't you know I had no idea this little coffee shop even existed. For some reason it never popped up before in my search for coffee shops in the area. But low and behold I found this little gem on the desktop version of Yelp and I'm glad I did! This little coffee shop is tucked in a strip mall in Eastpoint. Not a fan of the area but it's fairly close to work and next to Marios, a great place to pick up meat. They toast their own beans and have a very large selection of different roasts to choose from. They also have quite the selection of lattes, macchiatos, frappe's etc in many flavors. I had a Carmel macchiato and it was quite good and half the price of Starbucks. For two mediums it was $7! The inside is a bit dark but comfortable. They have tables and chairs as well as more couch like areas. I could see this being a great place for students to study or to get some work done. On a random Tuesday afternoon it was empty. I'll definitely be stopping back in again. read more

I was excited when I came across this little coffee shop. I like small businesses and sometimes it's nice to frequent them over chains. The guy behind the counter started to ask my my order but before I could respond he picked up his phone and couldn't hear a word I said. I waited. This was incredibly rude and extremely poor customer service. The coffee was decent, a pour over. The atmosphere was confusing; there are 2 large TVs giving it a sports bar feel. One of the the TVs is above a large (gas?) fireplace which was not lit. To add to the confusing atmosphere Country music was playing. They did advertise free WiFi. Maybe I just caught them in a bad day. When I try it again I will update the review, hopefully to a more positive one. read more

I really wanted an iced caramel latte this morning, but i've never been a fan of chain coffee shop lattes. They don't taste right to me. A favorite shop of mine didn't open until 9, and I didn't want to wait that long, so I searched on Yelp and found Coffee Break Cafe, and 5 stars! I knew I wasn't going to look any further. I looked at pictures of the menu and was so surprised at the flavors of lattes they had, I wasn't sure which one to get. The butterscotch latte was calling my name, but so were a few others. I stopped by the shop and saw they had a few more options on the board, and a flavor I can NEVER pass up - Salted Caramel! I ordered an iced salted caramel latte with almond milk, and it was delicious! So good, I drank it all before I got home and couldn't snap a picture. I'll definitely be returning to try some of the other latte flavors. The owner was nice and patient as I tried to look over the menu and figure out what I wanted. read more

Great place to relax and watch some soccer. These guys roast their own coffee and make amazing cups of coffee. There is free wifi and comfy places to sit with two TV's that are often playing overseas soccer games. They have a great selection of coffees and teas as well. The family that owns this place is very nice and they make you feel very welcome. The only suggestion I have is to order the french press over the pour over coffee. For the pour over they pour all the hot water over the grounds at once so it gets a bit watered down. It should be done more slowly to let the coffee trickle through the grounds. The french press produces a much fuller and stronger cup of coffee. Other than that, this place is great, and I look forward to sitting out front when the weather is a little warmer. read more

They have a good variety of beans from all over the world to choose from, and if you're not up for coffee, they have a large variety of tea to choose from too! The hot chocolate was a little on the sweeter side, but it was so good.
