Reviewing this place on behalf of my fiancé as he is the coffee connoisseur..he is the guy who is not effected by any of the Starbuck drinks, or any of the added espresso shots to the already strong dark roast..shoot, even the worlds strongest coffee I ordered online for him didn't really phase him..lol Anywho, pretty sure he just got the cold brew dark roast blend black and loved it, flavor was great and actually lasted him a while as he said it was pretty strong! Happy because we live right down the road and my man deserves a good true cold brew before work (not the ice in a cup with hot coffee poured over..hate that!) only reason I'm not giving 5 stars, is because the parking is mehhhh...went back this morning (Sunday around 10) and had no where to park so ended up leaving..I don't necessarily hold it against the owners of the coffee shop, but just in general..when you're in a hurry, (or haven't had your coffee yet..hehe) having to walk from the complete opposite side of the parking lot is not ideal..definitely will be back, just not when the parking lot is full! read more

My bf and I absolutely love this place! The coffee is always so good, and they even roast their own beans. The spotted owl latte is my favorite, and we've also tried the fudge cherry latte, caramel macchiato, and mocha, and they were all 10/10. The owner is so nice, and the overall vibes in this place are fantastic. Their sandwiches are also super delicious! Unique, family owned Cafe, that roasts their own beans, and serves top notch food as well as drinks. There is a warm, and inviting feeling from the people. The atmosphere is very comfortable, and more pleasing than something like a chain Starbucks. It's a great stop, and even worth taking a trip to visit. I recently moved to the area. I called and spoke to someone on the phone for a general question about the business hours. Instead of a normal business like greeting, this person said "hello". As if he was answering for a buddy of his. Didn't get a name, but was very rude. I'm not even sure if I would ever get coffee here. I asked the male on the phone if this was the coffee business and he said "yep". I responded with, is this how you seriously answer your phone for your business? No greeting no name? Seriously!?!! In house roasted Hawaiian coffee is off the hook. A great place to kick back and enjoy a cup or two or four(I left a bit wired). They have some snacks and sandwiches to munch on as well. Friendly people and a huge selection of fresh teas as well. read more

I was driving down ten mile after a doctor appointment and noticed this gem. And boy I am glad that I did. This is how a real coffee shop should look and feel. They roast their own beans and source them from multiple different countries. I tried their 'Brazil' roast and it's delicious! At two dollars for a medium, pour over, coffee you can't beat their prices. I wish that this place was next to a Starbucks so people could realize what a genuine coffee shop is like! It's really nice to have a little independent coffee shop in the area. They've got a large variety of different coffees and espresso drinks, and they bake all of their pastries in house. Prices are far more reasonable than any of my favorite coffee shops on the east coast - a medium latte and a scone only came out to $5. It's a little hard to find since its tucked into a strip mall, but it's definitely a place worth visiting, lest Starbucks and Bigby truly become dominant in this part of town. read more

My fiancé and I just recently moved to the area and hadn't found a coffee place to keep us going...until now. This is definitely one of the best mochas I have had in quite awhile. The coffee is roasted in store and is wonderful. There were about 10-15 different roasts available for freshbrew, pour over, or french press. I can't wait to go back and try a few other drinks. The espresso was perfect and the sevice was very friendly. We got two medium mochas with flavor shots for $7.50. Not a bad price at all! This place has an amazing chai tea latte, and a very chill atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good study place.

The cafe has a great variety of coffee drinks and has a helpful description of what each one consists of behind the counter. The owner (I assume) was friendly and helpful describing the difference between two drinks for me. I had a white chocolate espresso and it was delightful. They had some tasty looking bakery treats but I did not try any. The cafe had shelves full of loose leaf tea blends which he put together himself. I am looking forward to buying some next time. Hands down the best coffee. The coffee beans , which there is plenty to choose, are ground for each cup . I buy my beans at this place, and will have coffee there at least once a week even though I live 20 minutes away . Forget the hipster pour over joints that have popped up all over. These folks roast their own beans in house. Coffee is delicious and it feels good to support a local small merchant. They too use the pour over method however one would assume that is how they have been preparing coffee before it was the hipster "approved" method. So if you regularly travel I94 into the City for work or play, next time jump off at 10 mile and stop in for an awesome cup of coffee. And to all of my neighbors in St. Clair Shores who have been waiting and wondering "why no Starbucks", well salvation is just the other side of I94 on 10 Mile. read more
