This place is amazing! They have these icecream stackers for $8 for a regular cup and $10 for a large. The regular is a massive cup. It is filled to the brim! I asked for cookie dough instead of pretzels and they were so nice about it. They also let you customize. My friend got a small cup of the waffle chips too. They overloaded my cup. No restrooms for customers! 3 adults and 3 kids. 3 of us had to wee after spending some hours on the boat. We decided to try this shoppe for the first time. We were greeted by this NO restrooms sign on arrival. We ended up getting " to-go " cups of ice cream. Had we been able to sit and relax we probably would have ordered some fancier items. Good flavors and variety for hard ice cream. However, those I was with prefer soft serve and I prefer vegan. Looking online, I saw they had both, but didn't realize the options were so limited until we got there. The only soft serve option was chocolate and vanilla or a twist. Loved the strawberry cheesecake shortcake stacker, so basically an ice cream parfait, so the sauce and toppings are layered in. The strawberry sauce was great not too sweet or syrupy. Had to visit after seeing it on tiktok enough times! We went on a Saturday closer to the evening and were expecting/met with a line basically out the door! Even though we were expecting this and ready to wait, they were running this line so beyond efficiently, that we were in and out in less than 10 minutes. I had asked to get a sample of the Mackinac Island Fudge ice cream before settling on a flavor, and the girl gave me a very generous sample, and I ended up loving it! Not too sweet, the pieces of fudge adding the perfect hint of sweetness! I ended up getting the personal nachos with the Mackinac Island Fudge ice cream, carmel sauce, and pecans as the topping and it was absolutely delicious. The nachos were delicious, there were plenty of waffle chips, and they were nice and crisp, even towards the end, they were still crisp! For me personally, I would say that two people could honestly split the personal size, but I saw most getting it just for 1. As you can see, there's plenty of options for ice cream flavors, so something for everyone! Prices were honestly great, I was expecting them to be more seeing as they're so popular, but they weren't bad at all! They also had some baked goods like cookies, brownies, etc. as well as coffee. I ordered the s'mores stackers and the strawberry shortcake one. A stacker is ice cream two toppings and like a "sauce" like caramel, chocolate, marshmallow crème, etc. you can get the option of scooped or soft serve ice cream and they have about 32-36 flavors of different ice cream. Inside the place was super cute there are a few tables to sit and eat at. I was greeted by the friendliest team of employees. Seriously, Kyle's excitement for his job was contagious. The teenagers who work here are very rude. When you just place your order they yell at you to move down the line. I've been here numerous times, I know how it works I don't need to be screamed at. My dad asked for an ice cream cake for his birthday so my mom got one from here. We had seen many good reviews for this place on a local food group from Facebook. This cake was fantastic! My nephew called it the best cake he has ever had. I am not sure what the flavor was called since my mom got it but the bottom was vanilla cake and the top had peanut butter ice cream with caramel and chocolate drizzle on top. I've been hoping to get here for a long time but it's quite a distance- happen to be at GPYC so left in time to stop here en route home. Sadly the specials I follow on their IG weren't available but I did bring home 2 pcs of their ice cream cakes (?) squares (?). They're a great deal- priced like an individual treat, $5 & $6, but we cut 4 slices out of each- they're very rich/filling. We had the Strawberry Praline ($6) and the Salty Peanut Butter. The strawberry is much better- that jammy inside really gives it a nice kick. I think the PB might be better if we'd tried it as soon as it was made (these are found in their freezer up front) because some of the salty/crunchy toppings had gone limp, lost their crispy, salty, etc Idk if there's much you can do about that really. Also tried an elephant shake, which was fine but warning if you're buying for a kid who has IG, the cupcake is on top on the shake, inside the cup, NOT on the straw, on top of the cup as shown on their IG. (Aesthetics seem to matter for the younger, pic taking crowd and also, cupcake was soggy right away so you can't actually fish it out and eat it separately) Lovely young ladies working the evening we came in. read more

My wife brought home the birthday cake mega master-blaster-stacker extravaganza with vanilla cake pieces, Birthday Cake ice cream, sprinkles, and whipped cream of happiness! As I gazed upon this stacker, I prepped by loosening my belt and putting on more oversized attire(JIC::of rapid belly expansion or tightening around the waistline of my shorts). Knowing that this beast would make me at least ten lbs fatter after consuming, I was prepared to be stuffed. Sort of like your mother on a Thursday night after she's been put out on the stroll!!! I love going to this ice cream shop because they are so friendly and experimental with their ice cream and cones. There are plenty of ice cream flavors to choose from and custom options of toppings. They even make custom ice cream cakes too. As you can tell by photos, they experimented with making hot cheetos cones, and even though it is not for everyone, my husband likes it a lot. I've been to modern cone quite a few times and it has always been good and consistent. I love that they allow well behaved dogs inside and even have ice cream options for canines! It is slightly expensive for Ashbys brand ice cream but they are slowly working on creating their own original flavors and have lots of rotating specials. read more
