This place is amazing! They have these icecream stackers for $8 for a regular cup and $10 for a large. The regular is a massive cup. It is filled to the brim! I asked for cookie dough instead of pretzels and they were so nice about it. They also let you customize. My friend got a small cup of the waffle chips too. They overloaded my cup. Had to visit after seeing it on tiktok enough times! We went on a Saturday closer to the evening and were expecting/met with a line basically out the door! Even though we were expecting this and ready to wait, they were running this line so beyond efficiently, that we were in and out in less than 10 minutes. I had asked to get a sample of the Mackinac Island Fudge ice cream before settling on a flavor, and the girl gave me a very generous sample, and I ended up loving it! Not too sweet, the pieces of fudge adding the perfect hint of sweetness! I ended up getting the personal nachos with the Mackinac Island Fudge ice cream, carmel sauce, and pecans as the topping and it was absolutely delicious. The nachos were delicious, there were plenty of waffle chips, and they were nice and crisp, even towards the end, they were still crisp! For me personally, I would say that two people could honestly split the personal size, but I saw most getting it just for 1. As you can see, there's plenty of options for ice cream flavors, so something for everyone! Prices were honestly great, I was expecting them to be more seeing as they're so popular, but they weren't bad at all! They also had some baked goods like cookies, brownies, etc. as well as coffee. Modern Cone is but isn't like any other Ice cream shop. I was looking for something sweet yet different and when I stumbled upon modern cone I didn't think I was going to be disappointed. I ordered the s'mores stackers and the strawberry shortcake one. A stacker is ice cream two toppings and like a "sauce" like caramel, chocolate, marshmallow crème, etc. you can get the option of scooped or soft serve ice cream and they have about 32-36 flavors of different ice cream. Inside the place was super cute there are a few tables to sit and eat at. I've been following Modern Cone on Instagram for several months! Well...it was March 1st and if you know me, you know...I love my Shamrock Shake from McDonalds. It's my kick start to the month of Irish indulgence! Hahaaa I happened to see an amazing Shamrock Shake on their Instagram story and I knew the time was right to try Modern Cone. I was greeted by the friendliest team of employees. Seriously, Kyle's excitement for his job was contagious. I ordered my shake, but was told the soft serve machine was down but they could make one with the regular vanilla. Then an employee suggested that maybe the mint chocolate chip ice-cream would be a fun option. Yum, of course it would be...Like an Andes mint shake. I've been hoping to get here for a long time but it's quite a distance- happen to be at GPYC so left in time to stop here en route home. Sadly the specials I follow on their IG weren't available but I did bring home 2 pcs of their ice cream cakes (?) squares (?). They're a great deal- priced like an individual treat, $5 & $6, but we cut 4 slices out of each- they're very rich/filling. We had the Strawberry Praline ($6) and the Salty Peanut Butter. The strawberry is much better- that jammy inside really gives it a nice kick. I think the PB might be better if we'd tried it as soon as it was made (these are found in their freezer up front) because some of the salty/crunchy toppings had gone limp, lost their crispy, salty, etc Idk if there's much you can do about that really. Also tried an elephant shake, which was fine but warning if you're buying for a kid who has IG, the cupcake is on top on the shake, inside the cup, NOT on the straw, on top of the cup as shown on their IG. My wife brought home the birthday cake mega master-blaster-stacker extravaganza with vanilla cake pieces, Birthday Cake ice cream, sprinkles, and whipped cream of happiness! As I gazed upon this stacker, I prepped by loosening my belt and putting on more oversized attire(JIC::of rapid belly expansion or tightening around the waistline of my shorts). Knowing that this beast would make me at least ten lbs fatter after consuming, I was prepared to be stuffed. Sort of like your mother on a Thursday night after she's been put out on the stroll!!!
