Wow were these guys busy! Well, I guess to be expected on a Wednesday evening in July right? Although they were quite busy, they had enough staff and everyone seems to have their roles and ice cream making down to a science and the line moved quickly. There almost wasn't enough time to take it all in. The menu is quite extensive, with recommendations for their specialty concoctions such as the s'mores stacker, which is what I got but with unicorn ice cream instead of tradition vanilla. There is also a large selection of hand-scooped ice cream to choose from if you want to go freestyle with your selection. They serve Ashby's ice cream and had several flavors of which I hadn't seen before (this unicorn vanilla being one of them!) If you are confused as to what a stacker is, it is essentially a parfait of ice cream layered with topping according to a theme, like my s'mores one. They've got many to choose from and you can make substitutions if you don't care for the suggested ice cream included. I think I also saw sundaes, ice cream cookie sandwiches, and drinks. Omg!!!! My favorite ice cream joint atm. I absolutely love the ice cream nachos. Nachos are waffle chips with your choice of ice cream, sauce and toppings. We tried several samples and decided on the banana cream and oreo overload ice cream with marshmallow and caramel sauce with marshmallow topping. I'd definitely stop by for one of those, or order a custom cake. That's why I give it three stars. They were out of bacon for The Munchies, and for $8 there is nothing on it. Big Gay Ice Cream has similar prices as of 2018, my last visit since leaving NYC, and literally delicious choices. So, I'm not convinced this is the best place to take my kids. Of course, my son would disagree! Like I said, the store is cute! He just loved the pictures and "ice cream birds with banana beaks!" Him: animal cookie cone with anniversary cake ice cream. Upon walking in as a first time customer, this place is MUCH busier than any other ice cream establishment that has been here in the recent years, after Baskin Robbins left. Seeing this, I was excited to know that they are probably worth the hype. I was not let down. They offer a neat selection of sundaes to choose from or you can build your own. This in addition to flights of ice cream, ice cream nachos, etc. I ordered their Cannoli sundae, a special for the month of July...along with 5 other people in line. Perfect, now I knew it had to be a great selection. This should be a staple the menu, because dang it was good. You get to choose your flavor ice cream (I chose pistachio, FTW). The ice cream was creamy and fantastic. I noticed I have recently been reacting to some ice creams, depending on where I go, but I did fine with theirs and was super relieved. This sundae had cannoli shell and cream, mixed in layers, with the ice cream, and was topped with a mini cannoli from Tringali's bakery. It was the perfect pairing dancing on my taste buds. Pricing was average. I think for what they offer, it was fair and worth it. The girls behind the counter were working hard to get everyone's orders prepared. Overall, a nice experience, yet dangerous to my sweet tooth. I will obviously be recommending this place to others and will be back soon enough (but not soon enough). read more

Three times now I've walked in AN HOUR BEFORE they say they close and right when I walk in they tell me they're already closed. The owner seems to have an attitude problem and she has no issues posting about it on social media. Anyone who doesn't agree with her, she claps back at them publicly; either making a video about it or commenting back. Her business advice for 2024 is "If a customer is rude, be rude back." She frequently posts videos about how customers annoy her & uses profanity. Many have come forward saying how unprofessional she is, but it seems like she still has quite a large following who support her drama & think it's ok to remain unprofessional. She does seem to have a good sense when it comes to teenage work laws, however, it's been reported some of her employees are rude, just like her. So many tempting options that my brain and my mouth nearly ceased from functioning. First time in but definitely not the last. My wife had a single scoop of butter pecan which I could smell when she was handed the bowl. I had a chocolate ice cream malted milk - OMG! The varieties of ice cream available was great, they have a TON of flavors, however, they didn't seem to have much going for them in terms of customer service. The line was illogical, and people kept walking in, and cutting in front, and the employees kept taking others before us, even though we were there multiple minutes before. Stopped by Modern Cone for the first time a week or so ago after following them on Instagram for a while. It's a cute little ice cream shop in a shopping plaza. If you didn't know it was there, you could easily miss it; however I highly suggest you don't pass it up! We ordered their July special which was a Cannoli Stacker (think fancy ice cream sundae). They use Ashby's ice cream, which in my opinion, is a fantastic choice! I selected the Amaretto Cherry Chip to go in my stacker. The cannoli cream and mini cannoli came from Tringalis, which are great. Awesome for them to collab with each other. Now that we've moved back to Saint Clair Shores, I am sure I will be coming here more and more! read more

I got the cereal killer they didn't have the ingredients were missing the drizzle and two of the cereals. One of the kids working there recommended marshmallow drizzle or any other I wanted.. I felt pressured and also they didn't recommend any other options. This was my first time so I just trusted it thinking they wouldn't recommend something tasteless.. It was not great was very upset with what I got in the end. I usually don't go out for sweets so it was especially disappointing. It'd be nice to have an updated menu online for someone like me who wants to know what I'm getting once I'm in there. I really loved the shop inside it was very cute and super clean. All in all I'll be back to try something else. The girl who helped me looked like she was working for fun not cause she had to, I get it. This is the coolest icecream shop I've ever been in and I'm so happy it's so close to my house! You can get icecream "nachos" or an ice cream sandwich in a hot cookie, milkshakes with candy blended in, parfaits and really anything you could imagine.
