In the ongoing search for great breakfast we found another spot! It's got what ya need, clean, efficient staff, great food. What more can you ask for? The menu is ample with some cool selections that set aside from the tired everyday breakfast places that serve you the plain basics. I'd say if your in the area or headed downtown this place isn't far off the beaten path and worth a shot.

Big breakfast split in half for the kids.

This was a pleasant surprise on a dreary Sunday morning! The food was excellent and came out in a pleasant amount of time. The waitress and host were spectacular and mannered. The restaurant is cozy and well setup. We will be back!

So this is the newest location for Cracked Egg. The original location is in Grosse Pointe. As for someone who has ate at the other location so many times, it's nice to have one a bit closer to home. I came here with a buddy of mine who got me into eating at the original location. We had to try the new one since we love the other one so much. I will say starting off the menu isn't the full menu as the original place. That was kinda heart breaking since my buddy liked a few items that he couldn't get here. The inside is for sure smaller feel than the other location. We sat down and ordered our food and it came out pretty fast, which I was happy the staff was on top of things. Our server was super sweet and made sure that the food came out right and to see if we needed anything else. I went with the feta cheese and spinach omelette since I'm a vegetarian. My buddy went with the Sunrise breakfast. We both weren't disappointment with the quality of the food. I'm happy to have one closer to home but at the same time we might be still going to the other one more since it has items on the menu my buddy gets a lot of the time and he can't get them at this one. I'll be coming here with friends of mine that wanna try a new breakfast place.

Everything we tried was delicious. The pancakes were a standout for sure and were very fluffy. The service was great, clean atmosphere. I informed our server that this was our first time here and wasn't sure about what to get. She eagerly provided a rundown of the menu and some of her favorites. I truly appreciated her patience and attentiveness. I will definitely be back to try more items off the menu.

Jagged Fork is a breakfast and lunch spot with six locations across Southeast Michigan. It offers a…read morevariety of staple menu items, and is also known for its seasonal specials. Lattes: The bonfire latte (special) had a strong espresso flavor, but it became sweeter as the marshmallows melted. I enjoyed this more than the lavender iced latte (special), though that ultimately came down to personal preference. Savory Breakfast Options: The triple triple omelette (regular menu item) is one of my favorite local omelettes, featuring three meats and three cheeses. The components of the sweet potato and pork belly hash (special) complimented each other nicely. It was served with house-made salsa verde and hot sauce. Sweet Breakfast Options: The campfire s'mores French toast (regular menu item) was rich and filling. The chicken and French toast (special) featured double-battered chicken tenders alongside Captain Crunch-encrusted challah French toast. Between the two, I preferred the chicken and French toast. The cinnamon swirl pancakes (regular menu item) are a classic dish here, and can be ordered as an entrée or a smaller side. Lunch Options: The birria tacos (special) were tasty, but a bit spicier than expected. Similarly, the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (special) definitely packed some heat. The chicken was sauced rather than coated in a dry rub. While I'm typically not a fan of chicken sandwiches that feature tenders instead of fillets, the size and quality of the tenders made this one work. The fries it came with had a fluffy interior and were lightly seasoned. Jagged Fork's variety and consistency over the years has kept me coming back. I often opt for the specials, but that's not a knock on the regular menu items. I'll be back to try more of the house favorites and new seasonal specials.

We love taking our granddaughter to this restaurant. She loves the Childs portion of French toast, the food is always fresh hot and delicious. The wait staff is very nice, if you can get "April", you'll be very welcomed with nice hospitality. We definitely recommend this restaurant for breakfast. It has become our favorite go to place when we are in Detroit. If you only read the one star reviews, they are from at least 2-4 years ago, I think that the restaurant has made some changes because we have not had any issues.

It is a popular place, so if you are here during peak hours, be prepared for a wait. We were greeted immediately and luckily got a table right away because we came at 11:00 AM, an in between time. Clean tables and well lit seating area. Nice menu full of unique offerings, like Dutch baby pancakes (Big German and small German), potatoe pancakes with applesauce and sour cream, crepes with cherries soaked in wine, plus more traditional fare like omelettes, pancakes, waffles and more. Coffee was pretty good too, served with cream in a little pitcher, a nice touch. Great service, good food, a solid choice for breakfast or brunch.

The inside has an old-school diner vibe, which could be charming, but the overall experience didn't quite match. Staff interaction was neutral--not unfriendly, but not particularly welcoming either. My husband ordered the Lynne sandwich and I had the Adele, along with a bowl of matzo ball soup. The soup was definitely the highlight--flavorful and comforting--but at nearly $9 for a bowl, it felt overpriced for what you get. Unfortunately, the sandwiches didn't live up to expectations. The meat was piled in the center of the bread, leaving the ends with little to nothing in each bite, which made them feel poorly constructed and just overall mediocre. We were also surprised by the number of upcharges--extra for toasting the bread, extra for grilling, and even a 3% fee for using a credit card. It all adds up quickly. For two sandwiches and a shared soup, our total came to just over $40, which felt steep given the quality. It's disappointing because we wanted to like this place, but the high prices just didn't align with the food or experience. Unfortunately, we'll likely be crossing Uncle Harry's off our list.
