Consistency is everything at Hydrangea Cafe. Every time you go, you know you'll be treated to excellent homemade food. The owner clearly takes pride in every dish, and it really shines through in both the quality and the taste. I highly recommend the Belgian French fries, chicken Caesar wrap, and the GP burger. Super cute restaurant. You order at the back and can grab a home made baked good from the case they have next to the register. You can see back in the kitchen and it's clean and has one woman running it by herself but getting orders out with lightening speed. The other woman places orders and helps put them together. Cute little cafe. Peppermint milkshake, Caprese sandwich and a Turkey club less bacon. $23.97. Caprese panini was good. The club was fine, big and thick cuts of roasted Turkey meat, it was okay. The dining area is small and quaint, and there are some items for sale (gifts and antiques). We ordered our food at the counter and they bring it to your table when it's ready. A cute, shabby chic atmosphere, with seriously good food! I mean, they nailed the Hudson's Maurice salad. One of my dining companions who holds the original Hudson's salad in high regard said it was better. I even heard the server ask if she wanted it chopped and tossed (something most places fail to realize is important). The authentic Belgian Fries were a hit with our table too. I literally love this place so much, it's a great spot for students and they really make a friendly environment. The food is very good and relatively inexpensive and they really make the life of all the students easier. All of the staff is friendly and really make you feel like family. Horrible experience. I placed an order over the phone an hour prior to picking it up. When I went up to pay, they gave me the wrong item. Accidents happen, but the way they handled it was extremely unprofessional. The cashier was polite and fixed my order. The owner on the other hand was not at all polite. I come here a couple of times every week for lunch for the past three years. Their lunch menu is inexpensive (Always less than $10) and the food is delicious. Free drink (unlimited refill) and free chips are included when you buy your lunch there which is very generous of them and very much appreciated! Im a regular so sometimes they let me buy food and then pay them back at a later time which is awesome to say the least! Great waitresses too, they are very nice ladies! Im going to miss this cafe when I go off to college next year. read more
