Cute little cafe. Peppermint milkshake, Caprese sandwich and a Turkey club less bacon. $23.97. Caprese panini was good. The club was fine, big and thick cuts of roasted Turkey meat, it was okay. Less the bacon makes a rather bland sandwich. Service was good. Peppermint shake was okay, the peppermint was crushed candy and only on top of the whip cream only.

Very nice place. Salad was fresh and delicious. I also enjoyed the fresh strawberry lemonade.

I could almost give Hydrangea 5 stars, but I need to eat there a few more times to be sure, and that's good news for me because what I've tried is delicious. I don't think a Cobb salad can get any better. They also have the JL Hudson Maurice salad... mmm. The rest of the menu looks great with specialty sandwiches and burgers and more. The dining area is small and quaint, and there are some items for sale (gifts and antiques). We ordered our food at the counter and they bring it to your table when it's ready. The staff and cooks are very pleasant too. We found it tasty and relaxing. Try the cucumber lemonade! Update: 08/16/14: Yeah. Gotta give Hydrangea 5 stars. The food is fresh and delicious and the setting is perfect for a local cafe. Breakfast too. Very tasty!

Hydrangea Kitchen is a wonderful spot for breakfast, lunch, or a cup of coffee! Megan is now the head chef and she is great! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is very pleasant, and I always enjoy my experience. My only suggestion is to avoid South's lunch time as the kids make it very crowded. Any time before 10:30 or after 12:15 is best.

Their Turkey Club sandwich and Belgian fries are so darn good! I think that the ciabatta is made in-house. Delish!

Cute but bland cafe. Might have ordered the wrong dish. Boring salad. Very loud with lots of high school students at lunch.

I'm not usually a Chick-fil-A guy -- it's a little pricier than the competitors, so I don't stop by…read moreoften. But with this brand-new location opening in our area (along with all the buzz, protests, and controversy that came with it), I figured it deserved a fair try. I opted for the drive-thru on a very chilly morning. They offer both walk-up and drive-thru, but the cold made the choice easy. The team members taking orders outside were clearly new and still finding their footing, and I genuinely appreciated how hard they were trying. The young man who took my order had a trainer nearby, and you could tell he was a bit nervous -- but he was doing his best. Same for the young woman who handed me my food on the pickup side. I tip my hat both of them. And the food? Excellent. Whatever else people may say about the brand, Chick-fil-A has always prided itself on quality -- and it shows. Everything was fresh, hot, and prepared just right. I may not stop in often because of the higher price point, but I get it. Quality costs more, and you can taste the difference. But the biggest shout-out goes to the back-of-house crew. It must have been right at that crossover between breakfast winding down and lunch gearing up -- which, in any fast-food place, is its own special kind of stress. And in a brand-new store during opening week? Multiply that pressure by ten. I worked in fast food back in my college days, so I have a pretty good sense of what's happening behind that swinging door: the constant rush, the tight choreography, the pressure to keep every station moving while also learning new systems on the fly. Those back-of-house workers are doing some of the most important jobs in the building, and yet they're often the ones who get the least recognition. While the front-of-house team interacts with customers, the kitchen crew is back there hustling -- cooking food properly, assembling orders, keeping the place clean, restocking, troubleshooting equipment, and shifting between meal services. It's demanding work on the best day, and even harder when everything is still new. We don't see those folks, but they're the heartbeat of the operation. Without them, nothing works. And speaking as someone who has family working in the industry, I sincerely hope management recognizes how hard their back-of-house crew is working during these early weeks. A little patience and well-earned appreciation can make all the difference -- especially for the team members carrying the heaviest load. So to the team behind the scenes -- thank you. My hat goes off to you. And yes, I'll definitely be back.

The service is good, I can tell they're still getting used to things. My issue is the taste of the food compared to what I'm used to. Every time something was forgotten from the order, even something as simple as straws it was frustrating after driving away. The fries always seem to be room temperature like they've been sitting. The last time I even had a completely undercooked one. The nuggets taste good. Everything is clean and nice. I'm hoping this isn't how it's going to be at this location.

I agree with another reviewer that I was expecting more of a lowkey, jazzy vibe in the inside, but I don't mind much. I chose to sit outside to read for a bit and I'm glad I did because the downtown area was very calm and relaxing - not loud at all. I ordered the mixed berry croissant with cheesecake and it was delicious. I will say it was VERY flaky (which was delicious) but admittedly I felt the croissant was a little overdone (my preference is just for softer croissants so maybe next time I'll try a different pastry warmed up). It was still delicious, though. I also ordered an iced dirty chai with whole milk. Overall, I think this was a disappointing drink. It was honestly kind of tasteless to me (maybe it's because I got it iced?). This isn't enough to knock a review to 4 but I was surprised about it. It was still refreshing to have on a weekday morning reading sesh, though. Overall, great vibes and delicious pastries. Definitely give this spot a try if you're in town!

The charming, clean atmosphere of a local pizza joint, mixed with the aromatic sensation of the bustling wood fire oven when you first walk in is what brings me back for their phenomenal margherita pizza! They recently switched to full sit-down service, so you no longer place your order at the counter; the wait staff takes care of you at the tables unless you're ordering a carry-out. My only critique was about the wine glasses. We both ordered a glass of red wine to complement the dine-in experience but the glasses, which were plastic, seemed small to hold a 6-8oz pour and the really short stem made them awkward to hold as well. I think they need to be upgraded for me to spend $10 on a glass of wine again. Oh, and do not even think about leaving without at least 2 of their famous chocolate chip cookies to-go... heat in the microwave for about 10 seconds and thank me later. YUM!!
