I've had this on my list of places to visit for some time, but due to the distance from my house, I've put visiting here off. Since I'm on this side of town dog sitting, I finally said I'm going here and did the drive in this cold weather. Walking in, it's smaller here than I anticipated. Limited seating and parking, FYI. Not good for large groups since there was literally only one table in the corner for maybe a party of four. More of a two person place to grab a quick bite. The menu is good with tons of options and lots of drinks. I wasn't feeling the booze so I stuck with Sprite and water. My server was friendly and attentive and checked in on me regularly. I got two of the regular sliders with a side of cheesy fries. Everything's ala carte here, so be prepared to spend a little more than normal. Food was great, and I really enjoyed myself here. The trick is to come here when it's not busy so you can dine in. I'm sure during the summer they may have outdoor seating, but since it's the dead of winter, not so much. Overall a great experience. After tip, my bill was $25 for two sliders, pop and cheesy fries. I'm glad I got to visit here and would recommend it to others. Love the menu selection of food. read more

I love this place. I honestly don't go as often as I might because it's so very popular. My husband talked me into going there for lunch a little past when the kids are on their lunch break. Perfect timing, sat at the bar, yummy sliders and I looked enviously at my husband's wine (alas, I had to go back to work and he was off!). Terrible service. Fries came out first burgers took 20 minutes after the fries! Order was not correct and zero compensation! Won't be back!

The food was just OK nothing special. Sliders which are small, french fries, three different salads, and a children's section The service was very slow. I don't think they have much experience. They were only six other patrons when we ordered and it took forever. In fact, we asked them to put it in a bag because we were tired of waiting and it got so loud from two different radios playing in the restaurant was very distracting. And other patrons that ordered food were just stand around in this extremely small space waiting for their food It was very distracting And I thought it was pretty expensive for what we received. She just threw with the hamburgers in the white bag for us to take out putting the french fries at the bottom, not even in a container just at the bottom of a white paper bag. Phenomenal!! Flavorful. Knowledgeable staff. Separate fryer. Lots of gluten free slider options. They use gluten free flour (bobs red mill) and gluten free breading for chicken tenders. They were crispy and delicious. Can't wait to come back. Great vibe. read more

Fun place, the menu had several options to burgers. Tonight's specials were lobster rolls and gulf shrimp, both were delicious. The lobsters were large and sweet. The regular smash burger and chicken smash were also very tasty. Tried their High point lager, light with a little hop. Cocktails were also well mixed,, perfectly blended Aviation. Live music made the atmosphere perfect for a summer night. Our service was friendly and welcoming. She also has a spectacular voice as she was brought up to sing before we left. Gem of a place! What an awesome place!! It was packed due to the football game and somehow our orders were done right and I never saw one employee stop hustling. First order of burgers was a bit cool, I think they were likely waiting for the fried chicken to be ready. They should consider bringing food out as it is ready to avoid this. Above and beyond my expectations. High Pointe Burger Jointe is a new spot in Grosse Pointe that is an incredible date night and place to hang out with friends. The lights are low, the music is great for the scene, and the servers are friendly and welcoming. We ordered a Classic Smasher which came with delicious grilled onions under a well seasoned burger with Cheddar cheese on it. Simple. Easy. Incredible. The Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich came with some Pimento cheese on it, the perfect touch, as well as some lettuce to add texture. The variety that this place has will have you trying something new every time you go! Also, everything on this menu (besides cheese curds) can be turned Gluten Free! Amazing! So the place is small But cute! Excellent drinks and the burgers were sooo yummy! The parm fries will be in my dreams It was our first visit but def not our last! Waitstaff was great even tho they were busy! I also forgot to mention for some reason they shorted me $.39 when they brought my change back maybe you guys don't make change there or they can't figure out how to make change. Checked it out a couple of weeks ago. They claim to serve "smash burgers", but they're slider sized, too thick for a smash burger, and served on slider buns. Huh? My wife and I ordered one each and one bite into mine there was something hard in it and I spit it into the napkin and didn't eat any more. My wife had the same experience on her second one. The craft cocktail menu margarita recipe appears to be swiped from The Coriander Kitchen; even called "Fresh Farms Marg" where Coriander calls it "Farm Marg". We ordered one and it was not close to the quality of Coriander cocktail. The fries were very good. Overall not a good experience. Perhaps we will give them some additional time to improve their craft. read more

Hell yeah. Small, very local neighborhoody type place that flies under the radar. Great menu , great people, original cocktail list, lotsa original "smash" burger sliders (and no , I don't know what makes "smash" burgers better than regular burgers.) Food was fine. Portions were small, but it was decent. Service was the problem. We came into the restaurant and it was pretty busy, so we stood there for about five minutes until any worker came up and told us there was about a 10 minute wait for which we put our phone number down so they can call us after 10 minutes. About 20 minutes go by and we heard nothing, so we went into the restaurant and helped ourselves. Someone told us to sit down so we sat down and then we didn't get anyone coming to help us for probably 10 minutes, at this point it was not very busy. Had to ask twice for things we requested, which was two different sauces on different occasions. Also had to ask for more water when it was empty for minutes. Waitress never came to check on us and we had to call her over multiple times. Overall, she was very forgetful and seemed very rushed, for example when she was asking us what we wanted to order she was at the table next to us cleaning it so it felt like we had to kind of yell it and she just ran off after that. read more

Absolutely LOVE this addition to Grosse Pointe Farms! Have been here on multiple occasions since they opened, both with the kids in tow and without, and have enjoyed everything we've tried so far! I especially love the Dirty Smasher (with green olives, blue cheese, and garlic aioli, YUM) and their chicken strips get high marks from my 11 year old, who says they're the best she's ever had. She's also a big fan of the icee machine, and I'm currently OBSESSED with their cilantro margarita. So delicious and refreshing! Other family faves include the fried pickle chips and shoestring fries, which always seem to have the perfect amount of crispiness. The restaurant itself, while small in stature, has maximized the space for seating and even tucked in a bar, banquette area, and digital jukebox somehow. Overall, we are big fans and looking forward to enjoying their tasty food and drinks for years to come! read more

Phenomenal burger jointe! I have been frequenting High Pointe since it opened and it keeps getting better and better! They have a variety of burgers, sides, shareable, and salads. They also offer the most gluten free friendly menu I have ever seen, almost every item can be gluten free if requested. Some of my favorite smashers are the chicken smasher and Anna's smasher (who knew peanut butter, bacon, and beef went so well together?!). They more often than not have a featured smasher on theme for a sporting event or just because, along with a featured cocktail. Let's talk about the cocktails...they're amazing. Literally the best espresso martini I've ever had, and I've tried a lot of espresso martinis. I have yet to have a cocktail I don't like there. The margarita, amazing. Old fashioned, spot on. The Miller Lites? Always crispy cold. Anna is an amazing bartender and always looking for the next and best drink. The owners are also the sweetest, most kind and caring people. It's wonderful to see restaurant owners so passionate about their business and community. Do yourself a favor and grab a seat at their cozy bar, order some smashers and fries pickles, get an espresso martini and enjoy a delightful night. read more
