We can so close to after brunch they allowed me to get the brunch waffles. It took a long time for our food. I really think only 2 people were working. Our server was nice and attentive. But the handful of people seemed overworked and it didn't seem busy. I'll maybe try them again on different day to see if the food is a bit better. Hubby liked the sliders.

I haven't been in months, but they are always consistent. I LOVE their shrimp & grits and wonton. I called in my order & still waited a couple minutes. They play music and it looks sleek, modern... with rustic touches. There's a parking lot right at the door.

Alma Kitchen is one of the best casual restaurants in the Grosse Pointes. The restaurant is beautiful, the service is good, and the food is excellent and flavorful. It's a good place to have lunch and dinner with friends. My menu favorites are the Stuffed Salmon and the Brutus Chicken Sandwich. There is free parking outside the restaurant and on the street.

I love Alma. Their prices are fair & food is yummy! I love the seafood crepes. The lettuce wraps are also really good - especially the sauce that comes with them. Friendly service.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming initially the menu didn't highlight vegan options so I would recommend asking your wait staff for the vegan menu with annotations. I opted for the vegan tofu dish and it was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed the aesthetic of the restaurant it was beautiful and the decor was relaxing. My only strife for me and my guest were the flies. I understand that it's summer so whenever you open the door thousands of them attempt to get in but it took away from the dining experience. Overall the food was delicious we will definitely be returning again minus the flies likely in winter.

Alma kitchen has become somewhat of a staple in our family, being an easy favorite of my husband and brother's. Oftentimes when thinking of a location for weekend brunch, this is an easy choice. We've also been here for celebratory lunches and birthdays. The space is expansive with lots of seating making it great for larger groups. Hats off to the servers for managing this! The menu is huge with lots of variety and well-priced, so there is something for everyone.

I've been here multiple times with large parties, no one has ever been disappointed with their meal. Every dish here is very well thought out, rich, and executed. Each meal uses lots of different ingredients, nothing is simple here and you can really tell. My favorite meals are the Cajun salmon burger and the Asian black pepper shrimp. Group favorites are always the vodka chicken parm and biscuits and gravy. Service has always been fine. A few interesting decorations to look around at.

Y3Ssss I Highly RECOMMEND this spot, WHY b/c location is 10 mins away, so we're going to frequent this spot. Started w/a cup chicken Tortilla soup, traditional taste, enjoyable. Ma ordered the beef tenderloin, veggie medley (zucchini, mushrooms) over a gravy w/ potatoes, all seasoned very flavorful! I ordered the chicken (crispy/hot) skillet, w/ red skin potatoes, peppers, chorizo, onions, topped w/ egg & pepperjack cheese, dousted w/ hot sauce, VERY delicious. It would be cool if they had some kinda warm bread & butter as a prelude. For drinks, the cinnamon old fashion was yum & refreshing. To top off dinner, carrot cake for dessert, nice size slice, they said it was homemade, ate lata w/ van ice cream, SLAPP!N! I'd give them a 9 b/c service was quite pleasant. Only downside... they need better ventilation in the washroom. The decor & artwork in the space embraced traditional heritage Alma's Kitchen was born from a blend of cultures. I love their origin story, ask them about it when ya visit! Overall plz check out this spot out soon & support their familial team.

We've been by here a bunch of times and today we finally had time to try it and it exceeded all expectations. Clean, a bit modern decor with some excellent art outside and inside. All the staff was super friendly, came by multiple times to make sure we didn't need anything and that the food was good. I'll start with drinks, the spicy Bloody Mary was excellent balance of flavors and the coffee was a medium to dark roast very wonderful flavor, loved it was served with the little cup of creamer. We got the fried chicken lollipop(wings) had an excellent crunch with with an excellent sweet/spicy/tangy sauce, I would say the heat level is probably mild plus to medium as far as heat level. Wasn't sure what to expect with the churro donuts but they truly were a churro donut, the crunchy outside and soft pillowy inside nicely dusted with cinnamon and sugar and a freshly made caramel sauce not a sauce from a jar. My husband got the Loco Moco which I got to try a little and the brown gravy is amazing, could probably put that on anything. Loved the Chicken Chilaquiles kind of breakfast nacho for anyone who hasn't had Chilaquiles. You can tell they make all the components themselves, had such wonderful flavor. I think I would prefer some over easy eggs with the Chilaquiles but they were still really excellent.

I had lunch here about a week ago with some friends. They frequent this spot quite often but it was my first time. Nice ambiance. Dope layout and design of the restaurant. This would have to be a nice place to have a party or small get-together. The menu consist mostly of bar food. I ordered the chicken sandwich which was ok. It comes with a side of fries. I also ordered the shrimp/crap Rangoons as an appetizer. I really did not like the rangoons. The filling was really good but the outside was kind of soggy. I would retry the restaurant to check out the brunch menu as well.

I never knew about the canal district of Detroit, but the vibe feels like a vacation in Florida instead of the middle of the Midwest. Coriander ups that vacation vibe with bright paint, plenty of outdoor seating, and beautiful decor. Lattes: The bonfire latte (special) had a strong espresso flavor, but it became sweeter as the marshmallows melted. I enjoyed this more than the lavender iced latte (special), though that ultimately came down to personal preference. Savory Breakfast Options: The triple triple omelette (regular menu item) is one of my favorite local omelettes, featuring three meats and three cheeses. The components of the sweet potato and pork belly hash (special) complimented each other nicely. It was served with house-made salsa verde and hot sauce. Sweet Breakfast Options: The campfire s'mores French toast (regular menu item) was rich and filling. The chicken and French toast (special) featured double-battered chicken tenders alongside Captain Crunch-encrusted challah French toast. Between the two, I preferred the chicken and French toast. The cinnamon swirl pancakes (regular menu item) are a classic dish here, and can be ordered as an entrée or a smaller side. Lunch Options: The birria tacos (special) were tasty, but a bit spicier than expected. Similarly, the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (special) definitely packed some heat. The chicken was sauced rather than coated in a dry rub. While I'm typically not a fan of chicken sandwiches that feature tenders instead of fillets, the size and quality of the tenders made this one work. The fries it came with had a fluffy interior and were lightly seasoned. Jagged Fork's variety and consistency over the years has kept me coming back. I often opt for the specials, but that's not a knock on the regular menu items. I'll be back to try more of the house favorites and new seasonal specials.
