Mike and I ordered a corned beef sandwich on onion roll for him and I had the Rueben on rye and we split fried mushrooms and onion rings.... I was shocked at how fast the food was being delivered, which was the quickest I've ever experienced ordering thru GrubHub. When it arrived it was still hot! Surprising to say the least. Food was awful, Chilli was salty had a funny taste hot dog was salty , and mushy. My stomach began hurting within a hour of eating. Sad when I come to Michigan to visit, always look forward to a coney dog. This was the worst. read more

Legends is a local favorite of mine! The food is always good and served hot. This time around I just ordered a couple of coney dogs and an order of onion rings and it really hit the spot. Can't find a better coney dog around. The chili cheese fries are always a good choice also. They have kids meals that could really feed an adult at a great price. If your looking to satisfy that sweet tooth they also have great shakes and ice cream also. Best part is they are open LATE. Open til 2 am during the week and 3 am Fridays and Saturday. So if your up late and that late night hunger hits this place has what you need. You can even call ahead so it's ready when you get there. The staff has always been fast and friendly and the owners are nice people's. This place is great. I've never had my order wrong here. you can tell the employees work very hard and do a great job. The outside of the building definitely needs to be updated the nineties swirl of purple and green definitely points out the era it was built in. I will stick to the usual they have their own version of a chicken Hani and I always get the side of fries and can't forget the Coney dogs!!! the chicken lemon rice is not bad either. and they're open very late so whether you are craving a late night midnight snack or looking for a quick dinner if its not greasy McDonald's fast food I recommend this place. read more

Salads are huge and delicious, best ranch dressing ever and they come with a nice, warm piece of puts bread. Coneys are excellent, hot dogs have a nice snap to them and the chili is good. I reviewed Embassy Coney Island a few weeks ago as a good place to go late night when you want to get a real bacon cheeseburger late in the evening. Well, 1. I didn't know this place was open so late (4am) 2. The coneys are better here than Embassy (I still like the bacon cheese burger better at Embassy) By now most of us in Eastpointe know the place next door with almost the same name "Legends Coney Cafe" burned down a couple weeks ago. From a trusted source, these businesses are not owned by the same owner (I always assumed it) Coney's are better than average, they have a little snap to them, I assume that they have the skin on. (That's the intestine... hungry yet?) I am. Chili is fine. Fries are fine. It's drive through only but its pretty quick. I've been here in the past but I was reluctant to frequent it too much because the prices were much higher than other said places, the prices seem to have improved and so has the coney. My only regret is not trying this place sooner. I've lived in Eastpointe for quite some time and have always been hesitant to try this place despite all the good reviews. I had the best service, the staff was super friendly and quick. The salad I ordered was a very decent portion and had a hearty amount of chicken on a fresh bed of romaine lettuce! It's so nice to try another spot within walking distance from my house! You can only get Taco Bell for so long and finally get sick of it. Tried Legends last night because only that and TB were open (right next to each other) and we were very happy. Workers were pleasant, the food was great, & the order was correct. Can't complain! This place replaced the other Legend's that burned down several years ago ... what can I say other than that it's cheap and greasy good eats. Onion rings are quite tasty. Fries are typical diner freezer-bag fries. Lemon rice soup is surprisingly great. The hot dogs (whatever brand they use) have that good ol' intestinal snap and have nice flavor, and the chili is hearty (literally... heh heh...) and delicious. 1-7-17 Ordered bacon cheddar fries and turkey melt. Food was horrible. First they used squeeze cheese on the fries. It was gross gross. Then the melt was old turkey lunch meat and not real meat. I knew I should of went next door to Milestone or better yet McDonalds for that matter. read more

I've been going here for years and love it. Let's get something straight, the feta cheese is and has never been moldy. This boy knows I eat here 3 to 4 times a week. I get a chicken salad with a side of feta. The feta is always white and fresh. Another thing is they make Thier dressings are fresh. The Coney are good at the Legend's but they also advertised Flame Char burger which is a lie it is cook on a grill and never touch a flame because they don't have one. After I got home I called and got the manger he was a could careless about pleasing the customer. I said they should remove those words Flame Char burger from the menu... he said never had any complaints before and said I was over reacting and felt no interest that the customers was disappointed. Said "he's got to go".... There was NO APOLOGY! I moved away from Eastpointe since before the fire at the sit in restaurant occurred so I never got the chance to eat at the drive-through part. Recently I got a job at the airport and was starving on my hour drive home and was sick of fast food so I decided to see if legends was still even open for business, thank God I did! Man, what I've been missing! So fast, the girls are so nice and food is great, when I tell you I still have another at least half hour drive in the car and I go home to eat and my food is pipping hot still lol, my brother was even like where the hell did you go down the street? When I told him Eastpointe he didn't believe me that's how hot it was lol! I buy food from here a lot since I live pretty close to here. The staff is always super friendly to me. The food is very good. I love their Patty Melts and Cheeseburgers. The breaded mushrooms are my favorite though. You get a lot of mushrooms for a good price. It costs just over 3 dollars for a good amount. The ranch is very good to dip them in.
