Not a great experience here...just average overall. We went early enough to be seated right away but we were less than impressed with the food. This seems like a chill place to possibly come to get a drink and hangout, but I personally wouldnt recommend from a food standpoint. The service was good and our server was super friendly. read more

We have had wonderful food experiences while in Bar Harbor, except for Geddy's. We were kicked from our table after being seated and moved to a table immediately in front of the lobster tank where we were bombarded by other customers wanting to pick out their lobster and taking pictures. We got up and left. I was looking forward to trying their food, which I am sure is good. The place wasn't packed, so just some front end issues that should be easily solved. read more

We had the best waiter. We had our 3 1/2-year-old granddaughter who had been making us nuts all day and he entertained her and was sweet and gave her a frisbee. The food was also amazing I had the mini lobster bake with a lobster roll clam chowder and a blueberry tart. My favorite meal so far read more

The food was excellent, jalapeño margarita was fire, the chowder delish, and the people were really nice.

It was a Saturday night and we had a reservation. We were seated right on time, the waitress was friendly and attentive. The menu has something for everyone and the food was good. We would definitely go back when visiting Bar Harbor again. read more

Brussels were decent but heavily fried, shell chips in the mussels, good fish and chips - but the chips were not like the ones seen in some photos. Offered a dessert for the mussels issue but declined. Our server was nice and attentive on our drinks but overall service was meh. read more

After a little delay with getting our server, the service was wonderful and we had a very good meal. The fried shrimp dish was pretty tasty and the peanut dipping sauce worked very well. The shrimp was a on the smaller side so if I could change anything I would have used jumbos. read more

Great time. Stopped in for a drink so sat at the bar. Our bartender, Mike, was amazing. So attentive, really kept things going behind the bar and kept smiling. Decided to order a pizza that was great. Met Heather in the gift shop who was as sweet as could be. Never had such a welcoming, warm experience at a restaurant. We can't wait to go back. read more

Stopped in for some dinner/lunch while in the area. Great location. Our server melina? Was super helpful and nice. Did a great job in recommending dishes. I had the lobster stew as an appetizer and that was my favorite of them all. The fish n chips were fine. I would eat here again anytime. read more

I've been coming for years and love it, but today I had a new item, the crab melt, and it was SO good. It was a special that I sincerely hope will be added to the menu! Not only that, but we had possibly the best service we've ever had at any restaurant - not exaggerating (Melissa was our waitress). read more

Great food. Great service. Get a reservation. We had lobster times two - I had mine traditional and my wife did the lazy version where they picked out the meat for her which she appreciated. We both had the bake which is a meal that comes with chowder and blueberry pie read more

my wife and myself tried out a few different restaurants while on vacation here in bar harbor and this was by far the best restaurant. the staff was very friendly, the food was excellent and the drinks were great. this was the only restaurant we went to where we didn't feel rushed and could actually enjoy the environment and food. our waiter was very nice and kept checking in on us. we are looking forward to coming back again! read more

Awful and Way over priced. Even the safe bet of a Hamburger was bad and over cooked. Kids thought the pizza to be ok but burnt on the bottom. read more

Swung by here for a quick bite before getting on our whale watching tour. The restaurant had just opened. We decided to sit at the bar. Our bartender Matty P was awesome. He made us feel at home while on vacation. My wife had chips and guacamole (which she loved), I had the turkey burger (which I loved, but wish I had left off the cranberry salsa). They had a good selection of local beers, which also made me happy. read more

Geddy's is an awesome place to go in Bar Harbor. My family and I enjoyed our experience so much we decided to come here on both of our days in the area! The atmosphere is very lively but comfortable. The space is well decorated and has some great local flair. Our server, Caleb, was fantastic. He was very accommodating and provided excellent customer service. The food here is great. They serve a delicious Maine style lobster roll. The lobster is super fresh. The blueberry pie is also out of this world. It's served warm with vanilla ice-cream and quite possible might be the most delicious thing I've ever tasted. They even have a lobster pizza which was highly enjoyed by my table. Overall- I can't wait to come back to Getty's. I love the comfortable seaside vibe, the delicious food and wonderful service. It's truly a gem of Bar harbor and I couldn't ask for a better place to enjoy a meal! read more

Nice little bar in downtown Bar Harbor. Stopped in to warm up, and grab a quick lunch during a day of touring. Chowder was hot and tasty. Had the smoked maple siracha wings, they were spicy and sticky and overall delicious! Service was quick and efficient. read more

Such a great atmosphere here! Our server was so nice and me and my husband told her we wanted a seat at the bar because we plan on drinking and she let us know we were fine to sit and drink at her table so we were not rushed along and that was nice. We ordered the nachos as a starter and that could have been the whole meal! They were huge and so delicious that we wound up eating the whole thing!!! I got the ahi tuna tacos and they were delicious! Just a great flavor with a little kick of hot! My husband got the fried shrimp since he didn't want a burger after eating the nachos. He said they were very tasty! I would definitely recommend this place and hope we go eat here again before we leave our honeymoon! read more

The five stars are strictly for service and that wondrous lobster pizza. The staff at Geddy's gained my heart even before we sat to eat. We arrived at 9:55 and the place closed at 10:00. Still, they took us in and led us to our table with a big smile. The service was prompt, cordial and not at all rushed. The lobster pizza is out of this world. I am from NYC and we do a lot of pizza-bragging around here, but no where in the city have I tasted crust as pleasantly thin, crunchy and seasoned. I could eat that crust by itself. Each slice was well-endowed with juicy lobster which sat on a layer of cheese and butter. The butter made the pizza a bit sweet and acid, and the chives added a final touch of goodness. I couldn't recommend this pizza more. If you come to Bar Harbor, don't leave without trying Geddy's Lobster Pizza. read more

My husband of two days and I were up here on our honeymoon. My daughter had recommended this restaurant and we were anxious to try it. We were sure to reserve it so that we would not lose out on a chance to experience it. Although our reservation was for a specific time we were told by the maître d' that yes, "reservations were helpful" however then she said "sometimes it's even better as just a walk-in and that reservations aren't always helpful." Be that as it may, we ended up having to wait a little longer than we had expected for having a reservation. The food was fine and we were pleasantly surprised by dessert as a gift for our honeymoon. However all in all, I think it is much more geared towards a different atmosphere than we fit into. read more

Great place great food and drinks. Had a great seat by the window overlooking Bar Harbor

Great place to eat. I ordered the seafood pie. It was soo delicious and so full of seafood. My husband had the ahi tuna tacos and he loved them too. The server was really nice. The food was ok, but not worith the money. The lobster roll was $34. Didn't have that much lobster on it. The pasta with seafood was skimpy on the shrimp and scallops. Definately disappointing and wouldn't consider s second visit. read more

We visited Gettys for our first time to have lunch today. We are local Mainers who visit MDI/Bar Harbor often throughout year, this visit being the first of the year after a long, long winter. Our dining experience was surprisingly delightful, as Bar Harbor village in early April is usually a bit quieter. Our dining atmosphere was pleasant, cheery, non-Smokey, and clean. We were greeted, seated, and attended to most courteously. Our server, Patty made us feel welcome, making sure we were happy with our orders...Well what a surprise, our meals were homemade, using real un-processed ingredients, from scratch on site according to Patty. Their Lobster Bake Mini- local fav was absolutely delicious(Sm. bowl NE clam chowder, Sm. lobster roll, blue berry tart), 12" Lobster Alfredo pizza, again absolutely top-shelf, the MDI American Burger cooked to my liking, mmmm good! After enjoying this meal, Patty told us the owner's restaurant philosophy...nothing but the finest, fresh each day. Believe me for a small hole in the wall, don't pass up a quality dining experience! A delicious meal surely makes a trip even your vacation worth remembering, period. We will be back! ($65/ 3 meals) Spread the word, people. read more

Came to Bar Harbor for the afternoon to hangout, wanted to find a cool place to eat so we came here. I had the Panko Crusted Butterfly Shrimp. The shrimp was pretty good, nothing too special but the sauces that came with it were incredible. Hands down some of the best dipping sauces I've ever had, there was a Honey Ginger and a Sweet Chili. Amazing. The fries were also very, very good. My only complaint is that the prices are steep, don't come here unless you're willing to drop 25+ read more

I had a great fried haddock sandwich that was very hearty but melted in your mouth. The blueberry pie reminded me of an elevated pop tart in the best way possible. To top it all off we had excellent and quick service. The only reason it's not a 5 is because the ranch wasn't homemade! But I'd definitely go back again. read more

Geddy's - I'll be honest, I got a bit confused by the restroom signs... - Seafood Near Me - Bar Harbor, Maine

I had my first Maine lobster here, and it was fine. I was excited about it, but will spend my $30 elsewhere and on another dish next time I'm up in Bar Harbor. My friends all had rather mediocre dishes also so I can't give more than a three star rating. read more
