Came here after coming off a nearby puffins and lighthouse cruise. Loved the outdoor seating on the deck and the views of the harbor! The food was good too. I will say that everything we got felt like it tasted good, but also very "standard" in a way? While nothing super stood out to me as great, it was a really solid taste of some of the Maine vacation musts - clam chowder, lobster roll, blueberry pie!

This was my first experience with a lobster roll. Had no flavor despite looking awesome. Came with a group who wasn't super excited about trying seafood like me so we split a whole roll for the table real quick. Server seemed irritated that we weren't ordering more. (We also got an appetizer).

We had great service and a nice view at Stewman's, but the food was expensive and didn't really impress us for the price point. In addition to being expensive, some of the menu descriptions seemed misleading. For example, the Cajun shrimp roll claims to be served with Cajun remoulade but seems to have a spicy mayo sauce. The drinks, however, were very tasty- especially the blueberry mojitos and blueberry lemonade.

Neal was a great waiter! He really took great care of us. We were seated up over the water on a deck, but covered. Pleasant breeze while we ate. Burger and fries were excellent. My wife's Lobster Roll was good, though she hadn't expected it served chilled. We didn't know. She was disappointed at the time, but has since learned that's how it's done up here. Mom's salad and Dad's fried seafood platter (name escapes us now) were also good. Bar Harbor's restaurants have tended to be snug, but we were pleased with the space this place offered.

This was unfortunately very average. I got a shrimp roll with sweet potato fries. Maybe the lobster roll would have been the better choice but I just wanted to switch it up a little and try something other than a lobster roll in Maine. They kind of skimped on the shrimp and it was so bland even with the sauce and coleslaw. The fries were pretty bland as well. It's a good location but there are better restaurants around the area for sure.

Good place, I like that is very big, lots of sit down areas and everything was on a good time, our server was helpful and fast, our food was very good, we love the lobster dip so much, the sides options for the plates here were free and they have a few options which we like so much, their lobster was also very good.

Did stop for some lobster here. Very cool place. Right on the water. Perhaps bit touristy but who cares. Busy restaurant offering lobster. Loved it

What I liked about Stewman's was that there's something for everyone, not exclusively lobster, and the location on the water. Everyone working was nice and our server was attentive. Otherwise, I had an average food experience. I got the shrimp roll with sweet potato fries and it was underwhelming. The shrimp is fried and put into the roll, the sauce and coleslaw are on the side so you can put them in. What I had was fine and, I hate to say it, reminiscent of Cane's.

Everything here was delicious. Our server, Calvin, helped steer us in the right direction on the menu options. The blueberry mojitos were flavorful and so good. The steak salad might have even been better than the seafood tower, which is tough to do. I'm going to attempt the recipe at home back on the west coast because I don't know how I can live my life without ever eating that salad again. So good! We sat inside and were able to witness such a gorgeous thunder storm while we ate. 10/10!

There was a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. It's on the water with a nice view. It did take us a while to get our drinks. Our server, Marlon was nice but I don't think he was able to keep up because he kept saying let him take care of this table and he would be back but I went to the car to get a sweatshirt and came back and he still hadn't come back by. We wound up just getting the $20 seafood dip and 2 drinks and left. Nothing on the menu was screaming to us and things were taking too long to come out. The seafood dip was pretty small for the price but it was good. The drinks were ok

Solid place for fried seafood baskets and dockside outdoor seating - it was a sunny summer day and sitting by the water was lovely. I had the fish and chips which were good - the fried beer-batter wasn't overwhelming and the fish wasn't dried out. It came with a side of coleslaw and fries. My husband had the pier house catch basket which had a variety of seafood (haddock, shrimp, clams, and scallops), fries, and cole slaw. His favorites of the seafood basket were the shrimp and scallops. A filling meal overall, but a bit on the pricier side as other reviews have mentioned.

Ate at Stewman's Lobster Pound while visiting Bar Harbor this evening. The seating area and view over the ocean is the best part about the experience. You sit on a dock right over the harbor. The food was okay, not the best I've ever had but not the worst. I had the fish and chips and my wife, who isn't a seafood person had a chicken sandwich. The chicken was very dry. My fish was just two small pieces, I was still hungry after eating. Overall experience was average. Price for three people was about $100.

Fancy pants presentation and all things considered some of the best crab cakes we had on our trip. Bartender was really friendly and was super proud of their whiskey/bourbon collection. He did point out a few bottles to us that were really quite special and hard to come across. They had some Penelope variants that were unseen to me. I would come back in a heartbeat. However, we weren't too tired to eat it, so we had the food delivered from Side Street Cafe. So glad we did it that way cuz it was terrific... and easy to arrange ! My hubby ordered their Cubano sandwich while I ordered a cheeseburger. He loved his Cubano, which came with a side of mac 'n cheese. The mac 'n cheese was light in flavor, I think because of the kind of cheese used. I prefer more flavor, but it wasn't bad either. My( burger was quite large, and it was really tasty... very nicely seasoned beef patty, and it had all the things I like... cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle.... and catsup. I was very happy. It came with fries, but I had my fill of fries with all the lobster rolls I had ordered along the way, so I didn't eat them. Plus, there was a slice of blueberry pie calling out to me, so I wanted to blow my calories with the pie... and so glad I did cuz it was another spectacular piece of blueberry pie. Against my will, I split it with my hubby. Lol. It was a great way to end our meal. (Turns out we never got dinner that night cuz we were so full from such a nice lunch.) Side Street Cafe is definitely going on my radar if we're ever fortunate enough to return to Bar Harbor.

Spend that time wandering Main Street's shops, because the wait was worth the bite. The shrimp and scallop scampi arrived swimming in garlic, butter, and pasta (perfect fuel before a half marathon). My uncle's fish and chips delivered an actual deep-fried slab of fish, somehow golden and perfectly cooked.
