    Blueberry pie
    Victoria J.

Picked up 4 lobsters and 2lbs of clams for ~$56, went back the next day to grab the blueberry pie. Very fresh and flavorful for what might be the best prices in Bar Harbor. Takeout only and uncooked, this should be your go-to place if you can cook at home! The blueberry pie was $25 and the best of 3 we tried in Bar Harbor, chock full of berries, perfect balance of sweetness, and not cut with too much flour (gives a pasty flavor). The crust is a bit thick but serves to contain the liquid! Family-owned, everyone we met at the counter was incredibly friendly and happy to chat and help.

Super friendly guy working the counter! We had never cooled lobster before and didn't really know what we needed -- we got it all the ingredients from here including a pot they let us borrow for the night! Nick helped us pick out the right amount of lobster and wow was it so tasty! Really great prices for getting 6 lobster! Definitely come here if you're looking to cook some seafood at home! Bonus thing: very cute doggos that hangout there!

This place is great! Bought 2 dozen oysters and 8 small Lobsters to make some lobster sandwiches! Total was a whopping $109 but it was definitely worth it! They had some pies on the menu but they ran out, hard to predict during a time like this! I would recommend this place for all your fresh seafood needs!

Lobsters from Parson's with the lobster pot they leant us.

We were originally only going to order some small plates , but the one entree with fried chicken looked like something my husband would really like. Cocktails were great. Our server Eli was very friendly and helpful , he answered my questions. The lobster bisque was delicious, and I liked that it had a tempura lobster garnish and the caviar in it was a nice touch too. The tempura wasn't as crispy as I would have liked it , I think only the end part was, but still very good soup. We also got some oysters which were great with the sauces on the side. I ended up getting the halibut, which I never get at a restaurant- but it was so good! With the wakame butter, bok choy, pork belly, and sticky rice. All the flavors worked so well together! Husband got the Cantonese chicken- which was delicious as well. Very crispy, flavorful. We were so stuffed afterwards otherwise we would have got dessert. We ended up taking some Togo even though we had to drive for hours the next day. We put it in a cooler and ate some for lunch cold and it was still good. We had a great meal- i definitely recommended it.

We requested to sit by the window to have my birthday lunch and loved watching the sun set over the water. This is in a prime spot right by the wharf and has a gorgeous view of the water by the windows, but has a great bar and more seating in the back. Menu is huge with sandwiches, fish, pizzas, salads, etc. We went with the warmed brown butter lobster roll and a margarita pizza add sausage. My husband is a pizza guy - has it like 5x a week - so he's picky. He loved this pizza and said it was really top tier. I also thought it was very good - crust and toppings all great and cooked well. Sometimes margarita pizzas are runny due to less cheese/sauce ratio but this one was good and crust was yummy. The lobster roll was a different way to have it - I usually have it in the mayonnaise sauce chilled, this one was warmed up with brown butter on a delicious bun. Very good. They have 3 different lobster rolls on the menu to satisfy whatever the craving/need. For desset - we chose the chocolate death parfait. It was SO good. Not something I would usually get bc it was so heavy - but we were in town for my birthday so, treat yo self! Layers of chocolate cake, dense white marscapone cream and chocolate mousse with caramel and toffee chunks. Yeah, sign me up for that. Don't forget to visit their gift shop directly underneath and off to the side - it's huge! It actually has far more than the standard cup and t-shirt or hat. Expect loads of gifts and souvenirs and some awesome t-shirts. We got more than a few things in this surprise shop. 100% recommend this place.

Reservations are limited, but they accept lots of walk-ins; prepare to wait a bit. While the restaurant is large enough, they also offer outdoor seating on comfy picnic tables with umbrellas. If you don't feel like waiting, they have a cafe where you can order the legendary popovers. Parking can be very tricky, but there are connected parking lots if you're willing to schlep a bit. Despite it being Labor Day, we only had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated for lunch. They have a great gift shop next door that you can browse while you wait. Plenty of Acadia and Maine merch, including popover mix. Our table was outside, which was great for the sun and warm weather, plus a beautiful view of Jordan Pond and the Bubbles, but unfortunately, there were so. many. bees. They warned us about the bees ahead of time, but at times they were a bit much. Our waiter recommended not getting jam with our popovers to avoid attracting the bees, and they're just not as good with just butter. Service is fantastic, despite it always being so busy. Our server was from Germany, and was exceptionally friendly and attentive. The menu is pretty expansive for a national park restaurant, and isn't too pricey for something a bit more upscale. They have plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and GF options, so there's something for everyone. My partner ordered the vegan veggie wrap and thought everything was super fresh. While I was very tempted by the New England Baked Haddock, I opted for something lighter and ordered the house salad and the vegetable chili. The house salad was perfectly dressed and fresh, and the chili was hearty without being overwhelming. Totally filling! Some might find the restaurant to be a bit overrated, but I think it's worth visiting once. Or at least grabbing some popovers to go. Get the jam!

If you get the 2 popover menu item you should know that you only get 1 at a time and they wait for you to finish before getting the other one. Blueberry lemonade was sweet but it had blueberry bits in it which I was not personally a fan of. We sat inside but The location is pretty and exactly as pretty as pictured. If you can take the time to walk down to the "pond" While the line and wait was long where we sat wasn't completely full. Even with that our server was just not the best. Took too long to even take our drink order, long wait between popovers just not the best service. The food runners were booking it to take food outside but we rarely saw our waitress. I say if you have a long gap in time go for it. Food isn't life changing or anything. I don't know if I would go back.
