We are a big group of 33 but Gedd'ys was able to accommodate us all. Food was great! Nice lobster roll and salad. Drink was a nice Pinot noir. Good place to hang out at the end of a rainy day in Acadia

Few Bar harbor locals suggested this place for a lobster dinner, so I decided to check out one. I tried their Cap n Geddy's lobster bake special which came with Lobster, Clam chowder, corn & classic Maine blueberry pie. Lobster (served hot) was okay not great or wowwww in my opinion for how much it costs. I have tried lobster before. (Just for a record here). I really liked their clam chowder and blueberry pie. About ambiance, this place is packed every day. It was busy on a weekday night can't think about how busy it can get during a weekend. Haha Staff (Ann Marie) was nice & has very good suggestions!

Stopped here on a cruise and ChatGPT told us this was the best place to go for lobster. We just had a lobster roll at our previous stop so opted for something different and tried their lobster pizza, homemade, fresh crust...delicious! It was light, refreshing and cooked to perfection. We sat at the bar, it was a tight restaurant so not a lot of room to walk to tables or bathroom but have you a cozy east coast vibe with their decor. Our server did a phenomenal job at taking orders, making all the drinks and just being a pleasant person - even with all the tourists asking her a million questions. Glad we stopped

Colby was a great server and provided excellent service. Cool restaurant near the end of Main Street close to the shore. Large bar area and eclectic decor. My husband and I shared the sweet refreshing blueberry lemonade, half a dozen fresh oysters, steamed mussels and their jalapeño bacon lobster roll. It was a tasty satisfying meal after spending the morning walking and shopping. Be sure to stop by their gift shop downstairs for souvenirs!

We visited Geddy's during our trip to Bar Harbor since it was on our must-try list, and overall, it didn't disappoint. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed with a great view of the water. Food wise, things leaned on the pricier side. I ordered the mini lobster bake and the unexpected star of the plate was the blueberry cream cheese tart, absolutely delicious! The lobster roll and clam chowder also hit the spot and were solid choices. If I had one critique, it would be the portion sizes, they were very small for the price, which was a bit of a letdown as I was still hungry after my meal. That said, the overall experience was still enjoyable.

After a day in Acadia National Park we stopped in Bar Harbor for the night and I couldn't have been happier. We ate like kings and queens. From curry mussels to seafood pie to full on lobster dinner with the chowder too and of course blueberry pie. Everything was so fresh and so amazing. The staff was perfect and friendly. Even the drinks were awesome and gave good party vibes. There's a lot of great places to eat Bar Harbor esp if you're wanting fresh east coast seafood but you won't be disappointed picking Geddys even if you have to wait.

Make reservations so you don't have to wait. I'd looked a few hours ahead and they had same day reservations but I didn't book. When we showed up it was an hour wait, we ended up grabbing a seat at the bar. I did the lobster bake, I'm not really a lobster expert but my tail was chewy - I think it was overcooked - I should have send it back. The claws were good, as was the corn and chowder. The blueberry pie was ok, I was surprised it wasn't sweeter, crust could have been a lot more buttery and flakey. Service was so so, bartender was pretty busy working on well drinks and hard to get his attention. Cool atmosphere inside.

No trip to Maine would be complete without trying the lobsters. We came on a weekday night and waited about 30 minutes before getting seated. We ordered the Cap'n Geddy's Lobster Bake, which came with 1-1.25 lbs of whole Maine lobster, a cup of New England clam chowder, corn on the cob and blueberry pie. The lobster was very fresh and I especially loved the blueberry pie at the end. They also provide you with a lobster bib that you can wear while eating if you'd like.

My husband and I were visiting Bar Harbor, and after a day of hiking, we stopped into Geddy's. The food we had was fabulous. Bethany served us, and we enjoyed pizza, fish & chips, and blueberry pie. It was an excellent meal, and all staff were friendly. I recommend stopping in. Their pizza crust is made in house along with their sauce, and their pie comes from a local bakery. We would visit again!

Geddy's was SO FUN! The lobster stew was delicious. Buttery and tender. It was also a super fun and cool aesthetic inside. Service was friendly and had lots of different beer options at the bar. A little touristy, but worth it for the fun decor and vibes.

I heard good things about this place prior to going. A friend had been in the past and told me to make sure I asked about the market price of the lobster for she paid $127 for her lobster! Knowing that going in, I got the Cap'n Geddy's Lobster Bake, as this was the only option for hot lobster unless I wanted to do the "Pay what it weighs option" like my friend must have done (or the lobster roll but I had a few previous nights). I liked that that the lobster bake comes with blueberry pie, chowder and corn on the cob so you're getting your money's worth. Well, I didn't want to crack the whole lobster at the table so note, if you ask, they will do this for you in the kitchen for an additional $4. I decided to go with this option. They call this the Lazy Man's Lobster I believe. So my $52 meal ended up costing $57. I will say though, the lobster was super fresh. One of the best if not the best lobster I had in Maine. Very good. Critique on the chowder though, they only gave me half a cup. It was delicious but not very much. The blueberry pie also did not have really any flavor. Boyfriend got the Gulf of Maine Salmon Teriyaki. Not much to report. He liked it. We also got the Geddy's Garden salad to start which I loved since it has mushrooms. I love anything with mushrooms. The ambiance was fun - very touristy but that's what we were looking for as tourists and the lobster was very good as mentioned. Super fresh. Try to make a reservation so you're not sitting there waiting. It gets busy.

Made a reservation and got right in. The ambiance is neat, pretty touristy but I liked it. Ordered the seafood scampi and it was so so good. I have never had such fresh, tender scallops. The shrimp was cooked well too. Husband has a shellfish allergy so he had to order boring and got the burger. He said it was fine. Nothing special. But that's probably to be expected at a place who specializes in seafood.

Some places were good, some...not so much. I mean, how can a plain bagel with butter...be bad? Well, very easily lol. Went to a place in New Hampshire and it was the worst bagel I had ever had. So when I was in Bar Harbor, I had gone to a few places every morning and none of them were as great as this place. It's super close to downtown and all the tourist shops. So I just figured....expensive. Not at all. The bagel was fantastic! they toasted it just right and didn't drown it in butter like so many other places had on that trip. AND! the bagel was just so damn tasty. I like me some bagels lol The staff was so friendly. Just a happy place. The restaurant/bakery itself is so homey. It's very small...so if you wanna get there in the morning like so many do...go as early as you can if you wanna sit down. It's very comfortable in there. It's like a cute little cottage and you just kind of expect to see your adorable little grandma come out with the most amazing breakfast ever with her acting all sweet and grandma-like lol. I only wish I had discovered this place the first day we had gotten there. I would have been a regular for sure. What a pleasant little spot. Seriously, I just loved it and highly recommend anyone and everyone go here for their breakfast. They also have lots of like cookies and shit. I was so proud of myself...I held back and didn't get any even though I could have easily bought one of everything lol. So if you are in the Bar Harbor area and want a nice little spot to go for breakfast...and you see this review...go here! You will love it! If you hate it...you know where to find me....on Yelp lol. I guarantee you will love it tho. If you don't...Ill buy you a cookie to make you happy because obviously you're miserable if you find something wrong with this adorable little bakery :) Thanks so much for reading, Yelpers! Cheers!

Cream cheese was very bad, I had to scrape it off my bagel. My husband had to do the same. Bagels seem to be pre made and not baked in the bakery. Due to a young toddler and unexpected moods we ordered take out every night to avoid annoying other diners. We ordered from the Bistro three out of the four nights we stayed there. The salmon and mussels were clean and fresh in taste but filled with so much flavor. I did not bloat from salt. As for the tenderloin medallions, it was cooked to the perfect temperature we requested and was tender to bite into. My only issue was the service. The first night, when I went to pick up the food, the service was great. The individual that gave me my check and food was so delightful. But the second and third night, another individual, was rude in her responses. I understand it can be busy but there wasn't a need to respond with a tone or to look at me up and down like I have four heads. The view inside the Bistro itself was beautiful and serene. It isn't a large place but definitely date night worthy. Would definitely still recommend going but make reservations when busy.

The view? Lovely. The vibe? A little... off. The place has that "it could be nice if someone cared just a bit more" feel -- not bad, just lacking that spark (or maybe a good interior refresh). My husband, on his noble quest to sample every lobster bisque in Maine, declared this one the worst of the trip -- and trust me, the man takes bisque seriously. My beet salad with picked lobster was actually quite good, fresh and nicely balanced, which saved the meal from total disappointment. Service matched the décor -- polite enough but not exactly engaged. It had that subtle "we're doing you a favor" energy, which really pairs best with... no one's martini. Speaking of which, I had to remind our server to actually add the olives to mine. Small details, big impact, friends. In conclusion: go for the view, not the vibe. There's potential here, but it needs a little love -- and a lot more attention to the bisque.
