Bro, one of the best blueberry pies I've ever had, order it warm with ice cream. In fact, after sampling plenty of Maine blueberry items over the course of our vacation, this was by far the best one. I would go here just for the pie alone. The pie earns this place 5 stars by itself. We started with the maple sriracha wings and while a bit pricy...we are in Bar Harbor after all...they were excellent and I'd get them again as a starter. The girlfriend got a painkiller and it was substantially large and very tasty, she was very happy with it. I tried a sip and thought it was good as well. The brown butter lobster roll was good, but I would get the Maine next time--I had gotten Maine style the night before so I had to switch it up. The regular fries are OK but the sweet potato fries are out of this world. The gf again was please with the fish and chips which are gluten-free and really good, she was blown away by the portion size once again. Slaw was on point. The decor was very eclectic and it was funny because they have a painting of a naked woman on the wall and these three young boys eating dinner at the table under it couldn't stop looking at it and giggling, it was hilarious! Geddys is definitely a tourist place to have a meal. The ambiance and decor remind me of a TGI Fridays, but Maine style. We popped in and were quickest seated and served. We had been on our Maine trip for almost a week and had been waiting for a while lobster. We both ordered the 1.5-2 lb lobsters. You can pick the out of the tank if you would like. We didn't have the heart to pick out dinner and look it in the eyes. I'm husband just chose the lobster plate which comes with a 1.5-2 lbs lobster and corn on the cob. I opted for the meal. Lobster 1.5lb lobster, cup clam chowder, corn on the cob and "famous" Maine Blueberry pie. Lobsters were good. Definitely couldn't had more than one. As always not enough meat if you're only eating lobster. Corn was tasty. I have mine to my husband, he was still hungry. The clam chowder was ok. I feel like it had been sitting in the pot for a day or so. Really thick and kind of concealed. Not the rich-creamy flavor I was hoping for. Kind of bland. Needed to add hot sauce. Geddy's is to Bar Harbor as Union Oyster House or Cheers is to Boston. It's an institution. The swag abounds, the tourists cluster, and the restaurant is a well oiled machine getting you in and out in about an hour before you realize it's the shortest dinner you've ever had out. The food is decent. They put plastic little mermaids or animals in your drink, including adult cocktails. The kid's Shirley Temples were the size of fishbowl. We ordered steamers, fresh of course, so so tender. Kids got fish and chips and chicken tenders. The fry on the fish was crunchy, not greasy, and delicious. Adults got lobster Cobb salad and seafood pie. The seafood pie was outstanding. The lobster Cobb made me miss the lettuce. It was a small side salad size. Despite the huge tourist population in the summer, there was not wait for Geddy's, it was crowded but the waitstaff was very efficient and attentive. I had a really nice salad and New England Clam Chowder, my friends had pizza which they liked. I like a place with a lot of menu options and this fit the bill. I actually loved Geddy's. I know it's a tourist establishment, but, we are tourists and they had a wonderful menu and ambiance. We requested to sit by the window to have my birthday lunch and loved watching the sun set over the water. This is in a prime spot right by the wharf and has a gorgeous view of the water by the windows, but has a great bar and more seating in the back. Menu is huge with sandwiches, fish, pizzas, salads, etc. We went with the warmed brown butter lobster roll and a margarita pizza add sausage. My husband is a pizza guy - has it like 5x a week - so he's picky. He loved this pizza and said it was really top tier. I also thought it was very good - crust and toppings all great and cooked well. Sometimes margarita pizzas are runny due to less cheese/sauce ratio but this one was good and crust was yummy. The lobster roll was a different way to have it - I usually have it in the mayonnaise sauce chilled, this one was warmed up with brown butter on a delicious bun. Very good. They have 3 different lobster rolls on the menu to satisfy whatever the craving/need. For desset - we chose the chocolate death parfait. It was SO good. Not something I would usually get bc it was so heavy - but we were in town for my birthday so, treat yo self! Layers of chocolate cake, dense white marscapone cream and chocolate mousse with caramel and toffee chunks. Yeah, sign me up for that. Don't forget to visit their gift shop directly underneath and off to the side - it's huge! It actually has far more than the standard cup and t-shirt or hat. When we showed up it was an hour wait, we ended up grabbing a seat at the bar. The blueberry pie was ok, I was surprised it wasn't sweeter, crust could have been a lot more buttery and flakey.
