So much fun, and a rare non-tourist spot in a bustling vacation town! We visited in the evening after sunset on Cadillac, and we enjoyed a lovely spread of Oysters and apps (plus tasty drinks). I had a dirty martini, my husband had a negroni (both perfectly made), and we loved our food. The mackerel dip is amazing, and the oysters are fresh and fantastic. They are participants of the Maine Oyster Trail, so make sure to log your visit! Very casual and friendly service across the board. This is not a restaurant, but it is a great bar. Came here on 11/16 which I guess was their off season. We came mostly to try their oysters, but unfortunately, during off-season their kitchen is closed and they're really only a bar. We still ended up sitting down and grabbing two drinks while we were there. They had one bartender which was fine since they weren't too busy anyway she was really sweet and kept in conversation with us the whole time we were there. This place is small but cozy with vibrant food and spaces. The menu is limited but oh boy the food is great so that proves you don't need a big menu to get good food. Fresh oysters with AMAZING, non-traditional mignonette that rocked our socks off! We truly could have easily each eaten a dozen on our own and been very happy! He had never had a New England oyster, and he was stunned at how delicious it was! I have had my share of fresh oysters, and these were TASTY! Zana, the bartender, was so kind and works with such calm energy while she keeps up a full bar in a very timely manner! She is kind and impressive! We both HIGHLY recommend! It is a narrow bar, but if you get the front window or a bar seat, there is room for your oyster plate! A small ledge along the wall is available with seating, and that is good for ordering drinks. A few larger tables create a cool environment in the back of the room! This was the most "normal" feeling bar we could find in Bar Harbor, aka not as much of a tourist-trap, and they had a nice selection of beer on tap as well as cocktails. We got some oysters and a pretzel - the pretzel was fantastic, I don't know how they make the cheese sauce, but I could have easily eaten two of them! The bartender confidently told us these were the best oysters around - they were probably the second best oysters we had in Maine, but they were by far the most expensive. It was a sticker shock compared to all of the other spots we tried in Maine which was surprising since it's more of a bar - probably taking advantage of tourists wanting to try an oyster for the first time. First of all, the oysters (blondes) are super fresh. The homemade mignonette sauce is extremely tasty. While walking through Bar Harbor and already having my fill of lobster, I wanted some oysters. I saw this place with the sign that says "oyster bar" and had to stop in. They had kombucha on tap which is an interesting touch. The only menu items available include oysters and a pretzel. This is not a dinner destination. It is an excellent snack, drink or after dinner place. They don't have diet soda. So that's weird but other than that it was a great experience! read more

We came here for the oysters but since it was too early in the season (early June) the kitchen was still closed for reservation but the bartender, Cosmo, gave us several recs around the town to get oysters. They did have popcorn so you can snack while you drink. However, we started and ended our night here with cocktails (after taking a break to get oysters). The bartender and locals we met here became fast friends. The cocktails and vibes were immaculate. This is by far my favorite bar we visited in town. Still dreaming about those oysters. The mussel pot was good, but it wasn't out of the ordinary. I loved the bread that came with it. The clam chowder, while I enjoyed the flavor, was average; it could have used more clams. There was only one person tending bar and serving food/drinks, but I was still very happy and impressed with the service. He was very friendly and made sure that we got our table cleaned as soon as the party before us left, and got us our requests in a very timely manner.
